These are some of our best Tips and Tricks to Finding placer Gold in Rivers and Creeks that most people don't talk about. Great info and video professor always enjoy the out in the field ones but you know my favorites the drift mine and the nugget ones detecting your instructions i know help followers find good ty for every bit you do
Gold gets to the river by a tributary or a shelf. Once you figure out which one you are chasing, you're on your way to a pay streak. By the looks of your pannings, I'd say it was a shelf.chunky quartz chipped off from erosion.
Looking forward to dowsing gold in front of you. The grade or amount of gold is gauged by pitting the energy of gravity against the energizing of the one-tenth ounce 9999 fine gold dowsing rod load that is attached on the elevated acetylene welding rod, which free spins on ball bearings. This precisely gauges the dowsing of all edges, exact center, depth buried with angle of deposition, and grading. The physics involved in dowsing have been reverse engineered and are the same physics as using a metal detector. Here in Austria it is very hard to find gold, but there is a wild mountain river in about 20km away known for Gold. So i will grab my gold Pan, my screwdriver and check every crevices in the bedrock. Just being in the beautiful nature, that's the key. 🗝️👍
Being a Georgia boy living in South Carolina these are the videos I look for. We're river rats here. This is the kind of geological lessons I look for. Thanks Jeff!
I need to say thank you sir. One day, I saw this channel and thought I'd give it a try. Also saw Dan Hurd, and flour gold wizard. Over the fourth of July break, I went camping with my brother and his wife, and we all tried, and we were all successful. We only found .157 grams of gold, but we all found some, and now I'm hooked. Thank you for all the info on what to look for and where. I'll post when I found my first gram or nugget, or both
In my years of prospecting… crevices have always yielded best. I’ve spent a full day moving gravel through my sluice with moderate results. The next day I found twice as much gold in one cup of crevice material in less than 30 minutes. Needless to say, the sluice box stays at home most of the time these days 😆
The dirt from the bank where the rock was decomposing with quartz in it was where the specimens came from. The other had to come from the creek it seems to have a touch of mercury on some of it. Thank you for the video I can't wait to put this knowledge in play tomorrow. The part about the different layers in the bank was the thing I was hoping you would talk about. Like you said I just need hand handful of good pay dirt to change your life.
Your knowledge and enthusiasm is great Jeff. Everytime i watch you i want to get outthere. You always explain what your doing so simply. Kudos to you!! 🔥⚒️🇺🇲💯🔥

I live in north Georgia. I've panned and found a few flakes of gold, but nothing really to write home about. I love the tips on where to find it. If ya could, slow down a bit and show where to look. I've found myself reviewing the video a few times to get what your saying. Love the videos, there really a lot of info. Thank you
Great video, Jeff. OK, spotted some gold in some of the quartz. In the second image, the gold looks crystalized, which made me think it formed in voids in the quartz. The flat pieces of placer likely eroded from the quartz as flakes and deposited in the loose matrix. I suspect it was found around the area where the quartz strata was.
Thanks for another excellent share, Jeff... Learned a lot and enjoyed greatly. Best wishes from the Gold Hill mining district of southwestern Oregon. Stay safe, cool and free. ⛏️⚒️⛏️
I have to drive an hour or so to even have a chance at finding gold. "Channeled Scablands" don't have any "fun" rocks unless you can get below a mile or two of basalt. I know a few have found traces of placer in some of the coulees, but rarely more than a few flecks. Cross the Columbia going North, and BAM! chance of finding just about any mineral or gemstone. Hour and a half north (if the ferry is running and you don't have to drive around) is Republic, which historically is a hot spot, and has a new big mine project started back up now. A hop skip and jump further and you run into Dan Hurd territory.
Thanks for this one, found a rock that me and my son broke open that looked like it had that gold ore looking stuff in. It, it doesn’t look like mica, where do I take it to get checked
Great video Jeff I've been working a river up in my area for about 6 years I'm getting old so guess who's going to start figuring out as double bucket zipline rock on buddy ✌️❣️😁 from Southeast BC British Columbia
Nice video Jeff, It's about time you take a break fom them holes in burro country! Be careful, I think I saw Nevada Jack watching you from behind them thick trees.....

Excellent Information Jeff 🤠👍 ⛏️ The place I found on Lake Superior, pushes 50 pound rocks up on shore...... That's where I found several meteors ☄️ Thank you for taking time for us. God Bless 🙏
The gold was looking rough and had quartz attached to it so I'm guessing it is from when you were digging in the river bank, approximately 6:43 in to the video. If it was from the river it would probably be smoother, maybe more like flakes, and wouldn't have as much quartz attached.

I'm itching to get back to the gravel bank I'm finding flour gold in. My problem is I'm below the stream level and dirty waters coming in through the gravel and I can't see the bedrock below. I might just dig the trench out into the stream so the water clears itself and I can see better.
