Hi there, I'm a very new subscriber (today) from Adler Farms. I'm glad he introduced us to your channel. It is so fun to watch the cattle moooooving along for you (bad joke there, I know). I hope you and your loved ones have a happy, healthy, content and safe 2023. From my home to yours, I wish you well. Heather🇨🇦
I am an Indian foreign exchange student studying veterinary in Texas and my roommate is from south dakota and he suggested me this channel to binge watch during my break sem break , i ve seen one video and i ve subscribed and liked the video this is so amazing and the voice over and video quality is amazing.Thank you for showing ppl like me wat the real America is .
Love to watch you guys round those cows up and ride those horses I sure hope you get a good price for those calves if you sell any buck 85 a pound for feeders here in Michigan those Angus bring good bucks they are great animals to use to cross your jerseys with you when you’re milking a bunch loads of love do you guys I wonder are you a daddy yet keep up the good work and we just appreciate you guys so much will find out tomorrow Tuesday is election day we want to see our country return to our God blessings always goodbye
Obviously I’ve seen things like this on television (cowboy movies) but you really don’t know how time consuming it is until you see it in real life. Great job on the video. Has to be kind of challenging while riding a horse, looking for and pushing cows in a snow storm. Looking forward to the next one.
Thanks for the question and the encouragement! It does depend on the amount of snow but We were able to move the cows about 2-3 miles/hour in this storm!
Just found this great channel and think you have really good videos, very natural and interesting with no hype. I hope you keep it up. Thanks from over here in New Hampshire.
Watching from Somerset UK. I breed Sheeted Somerset cattle No where near the scaleof your operation and never been on a horse! How many head do you run?
Good day from Ontario. 1st of all why chaps? 2nd how many acres do you guys own. We use to get a magazine called "Farm & Ranch" from states with alot of ranchers. Thanks interesting.
Chaps for warmth and protection from tree branches. Probably other reasons too. In the ranching community asking how many acres are owned is like asking how much money you have in the bank so not generally done. Good question tho. You don't know unless you ask. He did mention this set of cows was running on a 17,000 acre forest permit. Ranchers near federally owned forests are able to apply for and get permits to graze cows for the season which is probably about 5 months. It can vary but somewhere around May 15 to October 15.
Thanks for the question Don, yes we use chaps to protect our legs from the tree branches and brush rubbing on them! They are also very warm. We mostly run our cattle on forest service permits in the black hills so that is government owned land!

In the snow how fast can you move the cows, miles? Found your videos tonight and enjoying them. Thanks for showing us what you do.

Thank you Jack, I really appreciate that!
Great photography
You gotta love rounding up cattle in the woods! Lol
Oldie but really good
Cows never listen. Still nice scenery, but cold.
Great video! Thanks for sharing. Do coyotes ever bother your herds?
Thank you Bill! We’ve had them bother our calves during calving season but that’s the worst!
Beautiful and frigid looking out there
Great to see ranchers still using horses instead of 4 wheelers
Adler Farm recommended you. Blessings.
I know this is y’all job but I would love to do that. So much of this scenery should be on a postcard.
I would like to do a roundup like that some day. We like in Missouri our pastires are a lot smaller than yours

That sounds very interesting Andrew! At the moment we have about 700 cows that will start calving very soon and about that many yearlings as well
Amazing
Exciting 🇺🇸
