As usual a great video again. I am glad that you explained that a charterboat has its bennefits, and most of all the company. Being with a bunch of lads contribues to the fun of fishing and making new friends. Love from Holland
Im an Angler from coastal Texas and watched your video was very interesting, especially your rigging and baits. I also liked the cool fishing weather. Its over 100 f here , day after day!
Three cheers for the barefoot fishermen in your video. Brave move with so many people are on the boat. Certainly have to trust that nobody leaves any hooks or other sharp objects on the floor of the boat.
Yet again another great and informative video. A recommendation of a great charter is Orca Charters (Stuart Pike) who fish’s out of Beer, Devon. Can’t recommend him highly enough, always very helpful and forthcoming to share his local knowledge, as well as fishing knowledge.
Sea urchin 3 skipper Andy Savage great boat from whitby so helpful to new and experienced anglers would love to see you fish out of whitby on the wrecks
Shame about the rain John, but lots of fish!! I like Minehead, except for the Butlins camp which looks like a Bedouin tent. Thank you for the upload, sadly I was in bed when you uploaded it, regards to the family, greetings from Cyprus. 🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟🐟
Absolutely brilliant on the turbot I don't know if you recall the story I told of me rigging n baiting for my m8 a he reeled in a plaice about the sizes, same thing no bite indicated I thought the bait much have come off come off but it had just slowly engulfed it and stayed still. Brilliant catch
Great video John!!! Can't beat those days when the unexpected species turn up. Shallow uptide fishing is one of the main tactics I use when fishing my local marks around the Humber, you should give it a look in the winter for Cod fishing on the charters.
quality video. Top skipper. took us for a steam over to south wales a couple years ago and i got the ray slam. small eyed, blonde, thornie, spottie along with hounds and eels
Would that be 'minehead' has just been to the barbers? Sorry John couldn't resist that, I'll get me coat! I've recently been watching a vid on up and down tide so not at a total loss! p.s. nothing wrong with the British weather, just the wrong clothing, or the wrong bait, or the wrong rig...lol. Another enjoyable vid thanks to yourself John, your mates and the skipper.
@@TheFishLocker The weather this summer has been disappointing, but I much prefer it to the furnace like conditions in Southern Europe. I think it got up to 48c in Sicily one day this week, which is close to unbearable.
That’s one of my places that I go bass fishing from and it’s never fails to produce. A good variety of fish and very educational with all the different tackle methods. Great video John and I spotted a fish locker sticker on the side of the quay next to the little tackle shop on someone’s piece of modern are depicting a fisherman holding his rod made from a recycled gas cylinder
Hi John, be worth looking at buying sharks of the world a complete guide 2nd edition. The amount of different dog fish that live around the UK is pretty incredible!
Hi John, I've been following Andy Savages channel "Whitby Wreck and Reef Fishing" for a while, love to see you doing a trip up there. Like you ,he explains things really clearly.
Great video as always John. Alas, you guys made it look so easy. I think you need a bit more of a challenge so I look forward to seeing you in the Canaries on a marlin boat charter. Ha ha.
John have you ever tried eating dogfish or the other,, here in the states sale cats are very good to eat ,, just wondering , James is learning a lot,, you are lucky to have a son like him ,,
Minehead is only 40 minutes away from us. We went out sharking with Andy from anglo dawn last Wednesday and what a day we had!! 8 sharks alongside the boat. My partner tamed a 100lb beast😳 😳 we went out with Lewis from zephyr charters as Andy’s boat is not very well. A day to remember forever! Some nice rays and what a nice bass. Thanks for upload.
@@TheFishLocker We’re going to make sure we come back when Andy’s boat is sorted. We couldn’t of asked for anything more. Now we’ve felt the strength of those blues we’re hooked. Tempted to book up a big game session next year also for some bluefin 💪
Best cod charter I fished in UK was in Brighton from the marine fish after fish beautiful emeral green water and the pollock and cod were biting like crazy on jelly worms and sidewinders 10 miles out in the channel in July!!!!!my biggest cod was 21 pound and 19 pound Pollock ❤ love you channel keep up the great work John

If you are after Tope I can recommend "off the Hook" out of Wells Next to the sea. I was with him last week and we boated 26 Tope and lost nearly as many.
Some of those bullhuss had the loveliest leopard-spotted hides~☺ I know they're not your target, and a bit of a pain in the tailfin, but at least they're pretty🥰😅
many moons ago i spent a few months working on the strengthening of the minehead harbour wall and we did the plymouth yacht club harbor on the hoe as well we drilled holes from one side to other and then sent through long bolts and mounted timber baulks on both sides
Thanks for that, John, well done. Some nice tides coming this week but looks a bit windy too, which is so often the way. I'll perhaps try lures from the beach down at Whitsand. Keep 'em coming.
