But even with that ISI-Kolkata background it is not everyday that one finds a gentleman way past his prime so distinctly remember an apparently dull and drab dialogue of a nearly 50-year-old movie that despite having such deep inner meaning doesn't make so much impression in an ordinary mind!

Swamy is intelligent. He was the person who fought against the emergency.
But he helped toppling Atalji's government.
He was working with Narsimha Rao in the commerce ministry and he got lucky there. He opened the route to kailas .
He and chidambaram did equally badly in the ministry.
But you have to doff your cap to Swamy for chasing corruption by the congress.
But he wanted the finance ministry. He didn't get it because Modi considers swamy to be a traitor as he had helped to topple the Atal government.
Remember Swamy had recommended printing currency during the Covid 19 outbreak. That is what the European and western governments did. We see now that all of them are going down the drain.

Swamy is not a team player. He is NOT a politician i.e. good politician. He should have engaged in electoral politics,even if he loses on occasion. Party cannot carry his weight without benifits. He isn't much of a use in Rajya sabha,say unlike Jayashankar. If he tries to carry his own weight by involving in electoral politics, party organization, party administration etc then he would have been a valuable asset to the party i.e BJP. But he being a loner and not being a team player, his value is limited.

Dear Sree, it will be great if you can request prof to answer the following queries (1) de-dollarization - US is misusing it's dollar position and poor countries suffer as a result. Dr Ankit tells us that dollar's role will diminish very soon. What are the Prof thoughts on this ? (2) Udhayanidhi stalin talks all anti-national things, goes and meets PM in T-shirt & jeans etc. He seems to be showing his middle finger to everyone.
