Excellent video! The best part is that you can even do it on the field in literally 10 minutes, just need to have a file in the toolbox. You're certainly right about working with GBBs vs AEGs. In a recent milsim (a 52hs, non-stop operation on the mountains) other players were mocking me for cleaning the gun every night (really, really dusty environment), but that only took 5 minutes. Then AEGs started to get sand into their gearboxes, which put many of them out of order. An AEG mechanic was able to fix one of them... only took him 2 hours :p
AEG guys go to great length to get binary triggers, and we get this for free ! I'd say it's a feature :) Joking aside, great video. I got 3 WE GBBRs (M4, SCAR and MSK), but haven't used them much (bought them before taking a long break from airsoft), so they are still working great. But I'll bring them to the field as soon as we can play again (damn virus...), so this video will come in handy in the future !
I decided to buy a ratech steel trigger group instead for my scar l several years back, still working to this day after three years. I got tired of replacing the parts using oems, Its worth it in my opinion.

Excellent Video! Thank you for sharing this with us. I have recently acquired a M1A1 Thompson and at my first shooting test I realized that once firing on Semi Mode, occasionally it is firing two BB´s per shooting or sometimes at burst mode (allmost full).
Alternatively, working the springs that actuate on that sear or changing them for new, slightly stronger ones, will fix the issue in a more permanent fashion. In my experience the failure is not really related to wear down, but to the springs weakening over time.

I am currently trying to get the Z-parts trigger group to work in the RA-Tech box... it works fine in the stock box but not so much RA-Tech haha. I suspect its the Delayer/Valve Locker being off-spec, might drop the stock one in.
@@ErgonomicChair Yah, I personally don't see the point of getting the ra tech box. i've ran the steel trigger in my stock box for a few years now, and never had a problem with the box itself breaking. It seemed to me it would just add weight to the rifle
@@dpchief_216 It's aboot 100 grams. I was trying to fix a double firing issue and full auto issue that cropped up in my MSK. Full Auto loses a lot of power in the follow up shots and every now and then it would double fire. I'm goign to try and get the RA Tech box to work... but them making the valve locker out of spec is just bizzare. I am trying to get an answer from them why. If I can get them to send me a second locker for free, I'll try and alter it down. I think... it's the issue right now. Until then I'll jus trun the RA Tech trigger and hammer evne though its going to just chew the shit out of the bolt carrier. The Z-parts trigger is beautiful and the hammer has a roller. The tridder is moved back further on the trigger bar, and it's longer too. It's so much better than the RA or Stock which are the same location. They actually designed it so the trigger is in the 100% ccorrect location.

hey i just bought an G36 and it already have a simmilar problem... it fires full-auto on semi mode...and the weird part is when i rack the bolt manually it works...it catches the hammer, resets, everything good... when i put gas in it...it just fail to catch the hammer i took it apart multiple times already...it just works fine when i engage hammer manually...the reset is ok, there is no very short travel on trigger or so...which indicates there is more than enough contact surface, parts also look ok, not worn off....i really can't understand this... it doesn't work with gas in it, OR...if i rack the bolt very fast / "violent", just like the gas would...this is where it also fails... the only thing which i can think about is that the bolt doesn't push the hammer low enough...somehow it travels a bit higher than it should be.. any thoughts? -,-
I cannot find WE triggers for scar h (I think same as scar L, I cannot find those either). Do you know if any of the other WE rifle trigger parts are compatible with the scarL trigger box? The hammer part seems easy enough to find for me though. I'm not a huge fan of having to buy the whole trigger box just for the trigger part itself. Thank you for the video
My RA Tech set still does this when I hold down the trigger. It doesn't show when I manually rack the bolt but when I squeeze the trigger while pulling the bolt, the hammer also gets released as if it is on full auto. Any idea how to fix it?

I purchased the ra-tech steel trigger set for the scar H because I think there is no scar l set from ratech. I knew before I purchased that the sear would not fit however I’m going to take some measurements of both the scar h sear and scar l sear and see if it is possible to file down into the shape of the scar l sear.
Are you talking about the trigger not resetting after each shot, so that you kinda have to flick it forward to reset? If this is your issue, I also had the same thing happen after replacing with steel trigger group. My fix: i shimmed a few layers of credit card plastic underneath where the trigger springs rest on the bottom of the box. Basically put more tension on the trigger springs (one shim on each side).

Hey Josef, my problem is slightly different. My Scar works great in semi, but in full auto, major of the time, if I release the trigger, it continue firing in full auto. I have to put the selector on semi to make it stop firing. Any idea ?

i got the same problem but my safety is locked on semi/full auto, i cant push the safety selector to "safe", and cuz of that i cant remove the safety outa the trigger box, how do i fix this?
Hi, this has been a well know issue. Sometimes it's not an easy fix. What I do however is shimming the bolt catch's side wobble with regular gear shims. This could help.

I don't buy new guns since there are plenty of good second hand ones on the market. Therefore, I cannot tell you. Just buy the parts now and you're good to go.
Can i just replace the trigger parts you mentioned are wearing out? I think its parts #50-52, part #54 and #57. Or just replace the whole trigger box? Very helpful video, thanks!
Pls help I have a cycling problem with my well ak74. It shoots out faint bursts on semi. I removed the top, and the bolt just bounces back against the hammer without clicking it into the trigger. The bolt only travels half way. Mag works fine, also nozzle. All lubed. It’s clocking at 400 FPS so gas is working ok. Is this a tigger issue?? I can’t quite grasp why.
did you find a solution? i recently got a Well AK74, was thinking about replacing the whole trigger assembly with RA-Tech steel parts, also do you have an NPAS valve in your gun? for some reason my NPAS valve blocks the gas, so only the bolt moves, but the BB's stay in the hopup chamber, the stock nozzle valve works fine, so i've changed back to it

Josef Mucha I removed the firing pin delay(silver piece with spring) and it works a lot better.it has me puzzled.im going to continue filing the trigger part and hope it comes back to life.lol thanks for the fast reply.
I replaced my stock triggerbox with RA-Tech steel box, works like a charm, it also feels so much snappier to pull the trigger now, it's a bit expensive, but worth it in the long run

what do you mean with sticky trigger? if you mean that it doesnt reset (you have to push the trigger manually), then in that case you need to file down the hook of the sear a tiny bit (dont do too much). or you could increase the tension of the trigger springs.
I got a we m4 used a couple of month ago. Has one of the ra-tech steel trigger boxes in it. My gun started doing the exact same thing today. I am just sitting here honestly a bit dissappointed by the fact that this happens to steel parts, really dont know what to do from here. I could modify it or buy a new hammer but in either case it will happen again at some point, I was hoping that the steel parts would make that "impossible"

I sanded off some material inside of the trigger box that makes it fire full auto. So now it's semi only gun which results in higher limits on some fields nearby.
What would cause my trigger not to reset? Sometimes it works fine but more often my trigger gets stuck to the rear, but the slightest pressure forward on the trigger will reset it.
Shim under the trigger springs on either side, where it rests on the tabs of the trigger box. Basically giving it more tension. I had same issue and this fixed it.

When it comes to a part where u cant trim anymore you buy metal epoxy, put it there wait 24h to dry and trim it again. Like that you can forever repair that part 😂 follow me for more recepies hehe
Yeesh, one problem after another, so!!!! My gun's not cycling properly, and it was just a day ago!!! I think it started happening when I adjusted my npas. I sprayed it down with silicone, put airsoft grease on the seals, and it seems it only wants to cycle proplerly when i hold the gun upside down. Is it my magazines? Inspect valve locker (delayer) on the right side if the trigger box. It's silver and shiny. It might be broken in half. If not, I woukd change the hammer spring. It might be too weak to knock the valve all the way.
@@JosefMucha100 could you just bend the hammer spring slightly to increase pressure? i had an issue with the trigger staying stuck to the rear after being pulled, and i did this to the trigger spring to fix the issue

@sue17gandu nope. It only happens once per game day so I have just accepted it as my gun's little flaw.
I have the same issue, sometimes my WE KAC PDW sends 3-4 rounds with a very high ROF on semi. I didn't find a solution yet....
You could probably also use cold weld metal paste. Form it, apply it, let it harden and then file it if necessary. Cheaper than a new trigger box.
A RA Tech steel trigger box and group could damage other standard WE parts?
The real issue is not just design but material used. It’s a soft aluminum. Upgrading to steel will resolve the issue

You have no other option than to continue filing. If it doesnt help, just order a new part.

I would say they are. Molds are expensive, no reason to make them different.

I have a sticky trigger on my we m16a1 and after installing the ra tech trigger set 5 times it still hasnt worked, what do i do?
what do you mean with sticky trigger? if you mean that it doesnt reset (you have to push the trigger manually), then in that case you need to file down the hook of the sear a tiny bit (dont do too much). or you could increase the tension of the trigger springs.
Is that same with vfc m4 gbb?
I got a we m4 used a couple of month ago. Has one of the ra-tech steel trigger boxes in it. My gun started doing the exact same thing today. I am just sitting here honestly a bit dissappointed by the fact that this happens to steel parts, really dont know what to do from here. I could modify it or buy a new hammer but in either case it will happen again at some point, I was hoping that the steel parts would make that "impossible"

@@berndmaier915 i was thinking in buy a WE M16A3 and upgrade it with a RA Tech trigger box, mapple bucking and stay with the standard WE bolt and nozzel, but now, i don't know with i should buy the RA TECH trigger, cuz it wouldn't avoid the problem
@@paulovitor9388 it seems the problem is unavoidable so I'd say use the we trigger till it breaks and then buy a ra tech

Nice vid, how do you make it fire in only semi? have no full auto even with it on full auto
I sanded off some material inside of the trigger box that makes it fire full auto. So now it's semi only gun which results in higher limits on some fields nearby.

No. Some parts are compatible but not the trigger box shell and not the trigger itself. The whole trigger box is not compatible.

i was wondering why my we was shooting in binary...
What would cause my trigger not to reset? Sometimes it works fine but more often my trigger gets stuck to the rear, but the slightest pressure forward on the trigger will reset it.
i know this is late but i had the same problem. you just need to bend the trigger reset springs so they apply more pressure.
Shim under the trigger springs on either side, where it rests on the tabs of the trigger box. Basically giving it more tension. I had same issue and this fixed it.

Airsoft shops. But seriously - depends on your location. In czech republic it's not hard to find them. Not sure about other countries.

probably yes. Molds are expensive and I don't see a reason why they should be differet. But, double check that.

Will a ra-tech trigger box break as fast as a we-tech?
It will most likely work for years. Assuming it works in the first place. Never tried it as it's not necessary if you have spare parts.

full auto sear won't solve it. It's the hammer and trigger.
I wish someone would make steel replacements for the hammer and trigger and this shit would be resolved permanently or at least going without replacement for far longer

When it comes to a part where u cant trim anymore you buy metal epoxy, put it there wait 24h to dry and trim it again. Like that you can forever repair that part 😂 follow me for more recepies hehe
Yeesh, one problem after another, so!!!! My gun's not cycling properly, and it was just a day ago!!! I think it started happening when I adjusted my npas. I sprayed it down with silicone, put airsoft grease on the seals, and it seems it only wants to cycle proplerly when i hold the gun upside down. Is it my magazines? Did i screw up my nozzle? here's a video i uploaded of it happening. Please help!!!

Inspect valve locker (delayer) on the right side if the trigger box. It's silver and shiny. It might be broken in half. If not, I woukd change the hammer spring. It might be too weak to knock the valve all the way.
@@JosefMucha100 could you just bend the hammer spring slightly to increase pressure? i had an issue with the trigger staying stuck to the rear after being pulled, and i did this to the trigger spring to fix the issue
