I'm going to look in to the KWC model now, but they only do the 4" barrel version, so no luck for the naval or artillery fans. WE do seem hit or miss with quality, they seem to do some of the best & worst pistol designs out there.
the bb fly's out of the barrel because u are cocking the slide twice. Before you put the mag in otherwise it won't get in the gun (same with mag release). I have the 8 inch version and it works really fine :).
Like the Tanaka Luger series, you have to cock it prior to removing or inserting magazines. if you force them in or out without making sure the pistol is cocked you can damage it.
Zero problem with mine after 300 shots. I have the artillerie one. Just moded it with aeg barrel + half modify rubber just for the entry of the bb and S-hop with sugru. It shoot precisely 0.33gr bb at 50m
I have the same pistol. After firing about 200 shots it started to break down. The screw that holds the barrel got loose which caused it to fly out of the front. By worning out some of the inner parts the cocking has to be done slowly, otherwise the trigger cannot be pulled. Also sometimes the gun switches to full auto until the mag is empty. Yeah and all of my mags are heavily leaking.
It’s actually not just the magazine but also the hammer. There is a catch spring which is supposed to hold the hammer back, but after 100 rounds or so it will fail causing the gun to shoot in full auto. You need to either replace the spring or shave down the catch. Either way it’s a big bother.
yah, it's a really, really old airsoft design and (unlike more popular models) they never bothered updating it. Great as a novelty / collector's item, but not skirmish-worthy at all. Magazines are *VERY* prone to leaking, as any mag that uses pins to hook the magazine base to the body. It also develops a very frustrating failure to fire in just some hundred rounds of wear down. That can be addressed by supplementing the connector bar, but it's an issue that simply shouldn't be there
Mag leaks are really easy to fix and it's surprisingly accurate up to 10 meters after which the bb drops far enough that the hand holding the barrel obscures the target. Completely. Bought this (the black one) for a friend who is into re- enactment and as far as I've heard the only time he's had anything bad to say about it is when they've tried to use it for shooting at opposing players at more than point blank. It looks beautiful, the action is snappy and loud like one would want but the hop is lacking.. My rating is 4/5 if you want to make some noise while looking good in the process or 2/5 if you want to actually use it in a skirmish.
The lack of a hop-up is really quite messed up, however I found a workaround: Shove a piece of a shaped ereaser underneath the "bucking" in the chamber, so that it's jammed between the bucking and chamber, creating a hop up function. Adjust the inverted hop function on the P08 so that it holds the BB's in place (took a few tries and corrections before I got it just right). Now you got a fixed hop. Find the BB weight that gives the best trajectory., my P08 Navy lobs .25's pretty nicely. Would confidently shoot at player sized targets 30 meters away. The mod takes 10 minutes, can be done with stuff you keep around the house and is real easy to do. Don't know if this is a widely known fix, would actually be kinda suprised if it wasn't.
About Hop-up It is actually hop-up but inverted(idk how to call it). They used same system on Browning Hi-Power. Screw pushes on rubber that create tension on BB and as It flyes thru rubber BB gets rotation from upper side of rubber. I managed to Hop 0.20 on my friends Browning. With more pressure It jamms. So no-hop or 0.20 hop or jammed. Not good system at all. :)
This system makes the bbs rotate in the opposite direction of a traditional hop up which creates a downward force on the bbs. The more you screw it, the faster the bbs will hit the ground
Bought one from kwc for a whole 100 euros cheaper and its just generally better, it shoots better and very accurate, the construction is very rigit and feels high quality, so far i didnt have to deal with a single malfunction. You should definetly try it.
The WE Luger is well known to be the laughing stock within the ww2 airsoft community, and that says something given how finicky almost all ww2 rifs are. Even without the hop up problems, the gun is made out of very pliable metal, and thus critical components get worn down quickly to the point the weapon stops operating properly and becomes unsafe. In fact WE even sell replacement parts, as they are well aware of this fact. To add insult to injury, as others have stated the mags also degrade quite quickly to the point where leaks become common place if not part and parcel in owning this rif. A much better airsoft luger is made by KWC, which uses Co2 cartridges, and is known to be very reliable. Infact I reckon Ive put well over 100 mags through mine, and it still runs great. The only problem is you have a fixed hop, and the outline of the weapon is not 100% authentic, as the grip is widened to accomodate the co2 cartridges housed on the magazines. Another reason some people still buy the WE Luger is the fact it can accept 50 round trommel mags, and comes in the artillery luger configuration with the longer barrel.
I’m so confused with the airsoft stuff. Why do some companies make spot in replicas and other ones don’t? Why cheap out? I got told WE are a good manufacturer?
@@kylethedalek R&D takes time and money, and the WE luger is a very old design which itself was a copy of the Tanaka one. There is so little competition out there when it comes to ww2 airsoft, and as I said the bar for most enthusiasts is so low anyway, they probably can't justify the investment it would take to retool the factory & fix the issues, or probably the price hike this would mean for the rif itself. At the end of the day, 80% of people that buy this will use it as a paper weight, and maybe shoot it in their garden once or twice, there aren't that many people willing to skirmish in ww2 gear.

No, the hop up does not work. I made a custom fixed hop up by inserting some tape between the rubber and inner barrel. My artillery Luger now shoots .28 at 30 meters. Would I take to a match? No, WE Luger is display replica that actually works, nothing more. Fun backyard plinking though.

This is the only we product I've had problems with mostly the sear not catching and becoming a 1 mag automatic burst (which with the 50 shot snail magazine is fun and annoying in equal amounts) have managed to fix it by doubling up a stronger spring inside the original sear spring. My tiny we colt cub .25acp replica we ct25 works perfectly all the time and kicks much more than you would think for such a tiny thing. looks like this WE thing is worse...doesn't even have the cut in barrel for hopup...so it's not just wrongly mounted...
i'm glad that i don't buy expensive things just for the looks...
this misery for over 200 eur?!?!?
just 2 words ... :
NO THANKS!
yup, I feel the same. Thinking about returning it but given the fact that I do youtube - it's a good eyecatcher so I might keep it. If it wasn't for youtube, the gun would be long gone by now.
:)))) I worked with that type of replica and is a totally trash :)) I prefered to buy the replica from the custemer and tell him I can't repear it and after that I trowed the replica to the trash(where it's they place)
just do not buy WE .... EVER !!! you'll be happier :)

@@pega-luke8053 WWI converted to WWII luger actually, but still, no one wanted you to say this.

German with a german gun very cuwel
Oh dear
I'm not going to lie, I gave this video a dislike. You seemed very hesitant to say anything bad about this nightmare. You showed images on screen but didn't actually say much in that regard. If a weapon is not working this terribly out of the box it seems a bit shady to not express your opinion clearly in your own words.
I mean some things don't really need to be said when they are blatant obvious just from watching.
no problem, I don't mind the dislike.
This video was made just like I was discovering problems, i.e. it's chronological. I found out about the websites as I was editing it, not before. That's why I don't talk about how companies scam you by saying adjustable hop.
@@JosefMucha100 this does have adjustable hop up like many have told you.

Disappointed because you literally f@cked it up by not reading the manual so it's on you 100%

I've never had or seen anything by WE that has impressed me
The WE desert eagle has been pretty good so far :)
their MP5s are amazing
@@facundocorradini the little tiny we ct25 is a pretty solid gun
G36, Deagles, MP5s are good, maybe SCAR after steel mods. My GHK M4 is a freaking tragedy. But, It's just GBB, they're like that I guess.
