The total package! You just don’t see this anymore. Billy Strings does a great rendition of Ole Slew Foot, and they’re all very technically proficient musicians, but they just don’t have the same feel.
They were a top band because they deserved it. Naturally talented, yet hard working. Anyone know what year Jim's Martin guitar was? How about Garland's banjo?
everyone one you mentioned a guy who could go higher without getting louder. they would get louder when that worked best for the song, but they didn't have to like us mortal do.

I'm a rocker but these guys are great! I remember hearing them back in the 70's... never expected to see them on youtube.
