In 1982, Jim and Jesse visited Casper, WY where I lived and worked. There was a schedule mixup due to promoter error and they played to a small crowd. They were true professionals, as was their fiddle player, Blaine Sprouse. I was pleased to have Jim and Jesse at my home for dinner. Also, by working at a Hilton hotel, I was able to get them a couple of free rooms so they had a break from tour bus travel. Such a great memory for two of bluegrass music performers. RIP Jesse and say hello to Jim!
I grew up hearing Jim & Jesse, amongst others, on momma’s kitchen radio. Her and daddy had cassettes that they played so much that they eventually broke. There was always music in our house, either by radio or by mine and daddy’s guitars and/or banjos. This is back when music meant something. Pioneers in music! Thoroughly enjoyed this, thanks for posting it.
Born and raised in Brooklyn, New York and I have been listening and grooving to the Master cross-picking Mandolinist and his brother Jim for over 50 years. Superb "Blood-Harmony". I love Jim & Jesse; long live this excellent Bluegrass music. Thank you very much for posting this great tribute.
Jim and Jesse Mcreynolds are Awesome 👌 👏 👍 ❤🎉😊
80年の来日公演を見に行ったのが昨日の事のように思い出されます。彼らのようなデユオは二度と出ないと思います。❤
