You guys should do a Broadway album. I would totally purchase it, and I have a feeling many others would too.
I think they can do covers but not sell an album though. Since, producers would copyright it unless they make a contract with PTX.

@@hypnoeyes4454 Well the Broadway album would have music from different musicals in it, not all one musical. Plus, I feel like it would almost be easier to get permission from composers of musicals than normal songwriters if they needed to do so.

The more that I watch the videos of PTX, the more that Matt is growing on me. As a fan, I would like to thank Matt for filling in such challenging shoes that Avi left. God bless to Avi in following his heart. Matt, keep up the great work in continuing Avi's legacy and at the same time creating your own brand of bass sound for the PTX family. This is so typical of Pentatonix: They handle this song so flawlessly and beautifully, it's easy to forget how notoriously hard to sing it is! Those people never fail to stagger me.
I watched a video of a concert where they did shallow and a few others from that album but not this one. I guess they don't have a live version of this :(

Scott’s upper register, Mitch lower register, Kevin singing and beatboxing in this (and adding just the right elements of harmonization), Matt’s bass woven perfectly through the whole song, and Kirstie blending it all together and also that held high note that served as a transition (like WHAT?!). Those were all of the things that made this arrangement for me. I’m gonna listen to this another five times and then the rest of Dear Evan Hansen now bc this was all it took to get me sucked back into that soundtrack
I've never seen Scott SO emotional during a song. He looks completely exhausted and you can tell he was having a rough day. I'm so proud of him, going to that vulnerable place, letting us see that, and ending up with an amazing performance. Thank you, Scott for having the fortitude to do that. It takes great courage and we are so appreciative. May God continue to bless your path and yes, Scott....We hear you.

Scott has always been able to sing pretty high notes - even during the Sing-Off. He just doesn't do it very often.
My friend, Scott Hoying is not a baritone. He is a tenor with an uncommon ability to reach low notes.

UHHHHHH Mitch gave me CHILLS. Kirstie's higher notes DESTROYED me!! I loved that Kevin was singing above Mitch in the beginning. Scott sounds really good, as usual. I loved Kirstie & Mitch's (lower) harmonies. MATT KILLED THE BASS. I'm just so proud of the group.
This came out of nowhere. I LOVE
This is just another example of how versatile Pentatonix can be. They can be amazing at emotional songs like Hallelujia and sound of silence, they can sing fun upbeat songs like Come Along, they do great medleys and mash-ups with their evolution videos, and they have amazing originals. This is another whole new style for them and I LOVE IT. It literally lights up my day when I see Pentatonix post and I just want to listen to it over and over again.
I LOVE SCOTT! Need to say that right up front... his facility, investment , tonality are an inspiration to singers around the world. That being said, I would pay good money to hear Scott open up his instrument, not always be holding a piece back to facilitate the vocal gymnastics. It’s all there, just a shift in process and we’d hear all the glories that are just under that fantastic surface!!!

I know he puts sooo much into everything he does but I can see your point. It’s like that last little knot that holds him back from showing us EVERYTHING he has.
I can't speak enough about this cover! Matt gives this song the weight it needs to hold it down. Kevin shows once again how versatile he is, which gives the cover two completely different moods, which is a feat in its own right. Mitch and Kirstin both sound phenomenal on the harmonies, but their solos are out of this world good, Mitch showing off a more human part of his range, and Kirstin taking a solo that reminds me of Hayley Williams of Paramore. And Scott, all I can say, is you bad boy, you badddddddd.

That was beautiful! I was not expecting to hear Mitch's lower range and to hear the emotion coming from Scott! Kirstie slayed her part of the second verse. Matt and Kevin were amazing(as usual)😊. My 7th grade chorus class did Waving Through a Window as one of our Spring Concert songs, and it was such an amazing song to learn! Keep up the good work, PTX!

I’m not sure how I hadn’t heard this already but know, it ripped right to my heart and soul. Decades of depression, anxiety and apparently some social fears was split right open with this song. I’ve lived in the “is ANYBODY waving” sooo long that I’ve gotten myself into a place where there isn’t anyone. This was a great reminder that I have to put myself out there if I ever want to have someone to get close enough to even have a choice of staying, driving away or just waving out the window (a goodbye and a hello I’d hope).
BTW, congrats new parents Kirstie and Ben. She is precious.

Love that they have grown as a group and now are showing us more of what they can do individually and together. I have always loved Mitch's lower register. It is absolutely beautiful. When he uses both his lower register and his high notes, it truly shows him to be one of the world's greatest singers. Love Scott showing us he can do different registers. He is truly bringing it. Matt and Kevin showed how well they can keep the beat going together and it was perfection. Kirstin killed it also. Love how Kirstin's and Mitch's voices blend together.

I really like this arrangement. Scott's passion for this song shines through in his performance, Kirstin and Mitch's harmonies are really cool and blend so well and Matt and Kevin kill the rhythm section.
