My main issue was around the skilling outfit as well. No point in even releasing an outfit if you're removing the entire point of the outfit and putting it into a single goggle. While I completely understand why and could definitely support this... it lends itself to the OSRS community straight killing content before it's even released which is becoming a precedent, sadly. You hit the nail on the head in that we should have to unlock the entire set first before we can get the full bonus from a single item such as the goggles. If they don't do that, then there's simply no point to ever unlock that or anything of similar nature in the future, unless you're clogging. But then the standard player is going to bitch about unlocking something that does nothing anyway.
I really don't get why people are focusing on the outfit bit. It's not actually something like graceful, where it has a ton of generalizable use cases and can even be used in niche bossing situations. It's just a skilling bonus. So long as the goggles are expensive enough that it takes a similar amount of time to get them as it would a skilling outfit, it doesn't matter at all whether it's an entire outfit or a single item. Although to be fair, I don't get why people were upset over it being a full outfit either. Who cares what you wear for a noncombat bankstanding skill? The entire argument just seems like 2 sides being stupid at each other.
@@ethanomihombre you're missing the point. It's not good to kill content before it's even in the game. Additionally, they're trying to actually make the skill interesting. Bank standing a 99 is incredibly boring.
@@TS-uu4hp I really don't think they're trying to kill their own content. If the content is fun with decent rewards people will do it. So long as the goggles give the same benefit as a skilling outfit at a similar price to a skilling outfit, people who would have done it for that outfit will still do it.
Maybe the goggle changes is for those wearing graceful?

They're so hard up for keeping the classic "Herblore" experience. It's such a garbage skill to train for how important it is. The classic Herblore experience is what needs to go. The actual potion making part is easy, it's the needing to save up days/weeks/months of Herbs and secondaries to get anywhere.
All they need to do is make it so we're not using our own herbs. These are to valuable to blow on a minigame that's not going to give equal value in EXP and reward back.
Um the goading potion absolutely seems like it can be used to crash? Sure the things you currently have aggro on can't be stolen, but as soon as you kill and they respawn the goading person passive effect is going to grab that enemy probably faster than you could.

Also the skilling outfit only being the goggles is so stupid. You came up with a better idea in 2 seconds of at least needing to buy the full set before you can combine them. Again this seems a step in the wrong direction

i wish they would stop fucking making everything easyscape. not everything has to be changed and updated. theyve been moving too fast for a couple years now. even as an iron seedpacks made 99 herb a joke compared to what it was.
