I don't care if it's low XP per HOUR, but if it's low XP per HERB then this will be dead content. As an Iron I'm already starved for herblore xp. Hopefully it's like Mahogany Homes, where it's slower XP but more efficient per plank
ur right about that but regardless if tht was the case id just play till u get rewards and thats it. im happy with the reward selection they have at least. lets hope they dont do much to take some of that away...
This sounds similar to giants foundry, like using combinations to fill the order but with herbs instead of bars, also I really think you should be able to use torsol
i def agree with the "play the game" point. i feel like that could be applied to a lot of things, i remember as a kid doing MM to weild a d scimmy or desert treasure for ancients was such a cool feeling, but its sort of lost in the way that you dont need to do BCS to weird a fang, or a shadow and stuff like that. theres still some aspects of it like the Bowfa being locked behind SOTE, but still, more untradeable or quest locked content is never a bad thing.
I think that the minigame should allow you to use unfinished potions as well and just call them "solvents" instead of the herb paste, and keep them equivalent to one another
Considering that they're just herbs in a vial of water, you should definitely just be able to dry these.

Herblore on osrs is crazy because it takes a ton of money or makes very slow money. On rs3 there are countless ways to make good gp with herblore.
To be fair rs3 just recently became profitable for herblore like a year ago. It was a fat loss for a long time too. Waited to do 120 til I had enough proteans 😂
yeah i did 200m herb a couple years back making vuln bombs on dxp and made bank as well as like 15m xp/hr

Why would they make a low xp herblore activity and force you to use your own herbs when the rewards are bad (a potion pack that is made up of the potions you would have made but less exp) and herblore is already ass to grind

TBH I think every skill should have a mini-game for it. It should either require more focus with decent xp or afk with lower xp.

Only good from this is the bank saver reward, and the herblore set, the rest is all garbage content.
They should make the herb set be like the smith set making faster pots sometimes as well...
I just think it’s crazy that they removed the effect from the outfit just because people who this content isn’t even for complained that they’d rather wear their torva and do herblore while bankstanding instead. I know they are moving the effect to just the goggles but cmon now, we’re really about to start killing content before it even gets into the game?

This change is relatively unimpactful but no one is asking for more cosmetic robes, you know, since their feedback was they don’t even want to wear them. Horrible precedent to set for future updates

Herbs are too important to squander. Asking people to blow their ranarrs, snaps, etc, on this minigame is awful. I see you get Potion Packs. If they're not giving an equal or greater reward to what you put in then it's garbage.
The "Classic Herblore Experience" is exactly whats wrong with the skill. It's expensive in time and money and if the rewards of the Game don't reflect that then you're asking people to take a hit.
But you can put in Avantoes and get super restores out of it... I'm pretty sure it will give more exp per herb compared to traditional herblore, but just slower as there are more steps to it. Similar to what mahogany homes did with planks.
the rewards seem like they might make up for that in the long run also this could even make potions more profitable. im sure they will rework it anyways.
Yes this was my concern as well though I thought that this might be a good way to use up worse herbs to buy potion packs and get premium potions.
