Of all the Horror we've seen on this channel, nothing will ever be as chilling as the thought of being caught and grounded and not being able to go to Jessica Robins' Summer Party
Jessica Robbins* is my friend's older sister. Those kids were acting dumb and loud while we were trying to play FFX on the Playstation. They made a big mess but I got to draw on them with marker.
I got to admit, I think in terms of actually skillful role play on this channel, this team is killing it. Trotts character is heinous and I love him, Ben and ravs have such personality with theirs and Lydia feels realistic
The first mistake Weyland Yutani made was not sending their "A" team of Mr. and Mrs. Miggins for this salvage op. If Aliens taught us anything, only the power of love can stop the Xenomorph tide.
dying to see mrs miggins get facehugger'd and mr miggins lose his absolute shit when a chestburster explodes out of her, i can see him letting off a grenade and closing his eyes like matey from Aliens
Or a wall of firepower if Fireteam Elite is an y indication. Robot Carnival is a fun card to take on the level where you're running from the queen. The robots will spawn into the same area that the Xenos will while you're (over)powering up the reactor and standing your ground against waves, which means that the robots and the Xenos will fight each other which ultimately makes that part of the level much easier.

Oh man, I'd honestly like to see more of this type of thing, I'm not a super freaked out by horror person but I love the powerlessness that people kinda have versus Xenomorphs and this is really great. Hope the engagement helps.
This system is as cool as I'd hoped it would be after hearing how great it was for years... obviously helps having Tom MOMing it up alongside a great cast, but the atmosphere created by the mechanics is quite choice.
I enjoy me some fantasy rpg stories, but occasionally some sci-fi from one of my favorite series is just what the doctor ordered! Thanks for this series!
Love all the one shots on this channel, but seriously this run might be the best one you've done so far. Incredible atmosphere and good RP from everyone involved, and the production value is perfect. Wonderful stuff
Very fun episode. I'm enjoying everybody's roleplaying and OOC jokes. ("Load-bearing wall" is the sort of low-brow genius my own table hopes to rub out.) It's difficult to make Cham's unrelenting goodness interesting, and the player's doing a great job. Miller's is killing it as captain; it's such a tough line to walk, telling people what to do, while simultaneously allowing them space. I'm really looking forward to a certain big reveal.
All that mold, they must've broken into J.K. Rowling's house! Another great episode of another great series. I'm enjoying how much people are playing to the tropes, and getting into their characters. Felt like a very human moment when they were suddenly concerned for Trott's character, that whole "I hate you, but I'd still hate it if you died" relationship with the annoying coworker. Tom's also super in his game with this, the atmosphere and tension he's able to build with his description, I feel like I've actually seen inside this ship.
It occurs to me: one of the more unfortunate things about the Alien franchise is that the Xenomorph is just so overpoweringly interesting as a concept that it's difficult to imagine doing anything in the universe that doesn't involve them. Yet the ruthless corporate politics, near-human androids, the loneliness of being a tiny crew on a vast haulage ship, the distinctive 70s computer styling, & the idea of the great unknown being full of terrors is *too good* to constantly keep coming back to Xenomorphs. It's like Call of Cthulhu: going back to Nyarlarhotep, Dagon, & old squidface himself almost seems stifling against the possibilities. So far, it's possible that these beasties might not be directly related to everyone's favourite Giger child, but it's such a shame that it feels inevitable all the same.
I'm running this next weekend with some friends as we're all huge Alien nerds. Loving watching you guys run the scenarios. Some really good stuff. It's going to help me. The crew themselves? They'll need a lot more than help....😲
