(Food war crimes aside) Also knowing his backstory, I do think he deserves to be on the nice list I also can't help but giggle at the fact that Pomefiore are 3 for 3 nice list contenders while Octavinelle's the unholy trinity of naughty (though I would say Jade is worse than Floyd)

Okay I have to defend Lilia, see he gave his whole life to make sure Malleus hatched (200 years), he gave him all his love and magic and raised 2 boys and trained one. He lost friends and someone he loved very much during the Silver Owls conflict. The happiest moment of his life was Malleus hatching, so happy he cried. What's more pure than being happy someone survived a potential life threatening situation. He's prankish, doesn't cook very well but he puts his heart into making sure his friends and loved ones are happy. I think he should go on the nice list.
I am pretty sure Malleus would be on the naughty list. As much as people like him, just imagine being in-universe. He is known to electrocute/threaten students for small things that sometimes only he sees as a problem. He also does not put the effort into actually understanding others because of his own biases. It is like saying, "I don't get why they are mad at getting punched, I would be fine if someone punched me." That just does not fly. So, he threatens students, kidnaps, and nearly gets people killed. He also loves to complain about no one wanting to invite him to things when he pushed others away first. Yes, he has good aspects, but his bad traits overshadow his good ones (also I doubt people would be afraid of Malleus because he is the Prince of the Briar Valley as they do not seem to really care about these things, Malleus likely keeps doing things to scare people).
Those are absolutely fantastic points~ Malleus has a lot of growing up to do and as he stands he really is much more naughty than nice. I intended his, and a few of the other sections, to be bits more than researched arguments. Malleus's in particular is much more sarcastic as his actions throughout the game have been, and continue to be, less than stellar regardless of motive.
I'm sorry Santa... but Sebeks on the nice list for me. While Sebek does have quite a few negative traits that were listed, such as being loud and overbearing, as well as his name calling towards humans, he genuinely means the best towards the people he looks up to most, Malleus and Lilia. This is seen most prevelantly in his hard-work, his dedication to studying and training to be the best guard to his liege. Furthermore, many of the characters in twst are cunning and deceitful, but Sebek is always honest even if he can be stubborn. If he doesn't like what you did, he will tell you, and if he finds you talented, he will praise you, even if you are human (as seen in some vignettes). He makes his intentions fully clear every time. His honesty is seen additionally in his truthfulness to himself. Sebek is, to put it plainly, passionate. He is passionate in his interests; reading, training, and Malleus, yet also, his emotions. He smiles brightly when he's happy, pouts and furrows his brows when he's angry, and gets tears in his eyes when he's moved. Personally, I think that being able to show your emotions loud and proud is such a good characteristic that many (especially twst characters) don't have. Finally, Sebek is just adorable (This is totally objective and not subjective) While he is very loud and can often fail to see how his actions can affect others, I don't think there's a naughty bone in him. Sebek is truly a hardworking, genuine, and passionate boy. (also he would cry and call himself a failure if he got on the naughty list and I just can't let that happen to my oshi ❤) (also sorry for the rant I just love Sebek so much. I could have gone on but I decided it probably would be best to not get too long + merry Christmas if you've read to the end! 🎄)

And with the whole "he's lying by getting bad grades", it's canonical that he does it because he's expected to do worse than Kalim because of the master-servant relationship. That's not his fault, and is literally part of the reason he went off the deep end in his arc. Sure, Jamil isn't an angel, but his circumstances should give him leeway.
You do make a good argument there, and the context is important for sure! That part was thrown in as a last minute justification tbh, and I do think a being like Santa would probably factor context in, but even though it's out of Jamil's control it's also doing damage to Kalim since he never has to face failure. In a more objective sense it'd be Kalim's father on the naughtiest of naughty lists for forcing all of these things to happen to the two of them.

Rook is a stalker who invades people's privacy on the regular, even if he is not necessarily doing nefarious things because of it. He stalks Leona especially, despite Leona not wanting ANYTHING to do with him. He intentionally provoked Malleus in one of the vignettes. Not to mention... he got Rose banned from Tiktok xD Malleus may have been overwhelmed by grief, but he STILL created a worldwide crisis- and as others have pointed out, he's known to threaten people and shoot lightning when mad, and has not made much of any attempt to get to know humans aside from the MC. Lilia, however... he may be mischievous, but simply spooking others by popping out of nowhere because he is the nocturnal fey he is, is not worthy of the naughty list. though his cooking may violate the geneva conventions as chemical warfare, it is (usually) not done maliciously and he does not force anyone to eat his concoctions. Lilia should be on the nice list, dang it!

Lilia's only crime was his bad cooking honestly, cause the pranks could go either way. However I think if I could give myself a bit of slack, the naughty and nice list as I've always understood it is a year by year basis thing that doesn't necessarily factor past actions into it. If it did, there would be no way for Lilia to ever be on the naughty side of things. Malleus and Rooks sections were both there for the bit mainly, but I'm loving all the discussion points being brought up because of them~ Although I think of the two it's easier to argue Rook either way because yes he has the worst stalking habits, but he's also directly responsible for negating two very major incidents, things that probably wouldn't have happened if he didn't have those awful bad habits. I suppose that doesn't quite negate his actions, as he keeps them up after those incidents, but it is an argument that could be made.
Another dead giveaway, Rook, Kalim, and Silver are based on heroes instead of villains, so it makes sense they’d make the nice list (Rook as the hunter can be slightly debatable, but he DID save Snow White’s life, so I guess he’s a hero)
Additionally, Rook always tries to see the beauty in everything, and he’s loyal to Vil. Unlike Kalim though, he isn’t oblivious and sets standards (like not letting Vil kill Neige), and he literally risks his life to save the OB victims
