    This video is outstandingly informative! This the first time I've seen someone modify the pulse transformer to change the output voltage of an SMPS. This video shows the depth of your expertise and the level of your experience. I wouldn't dare try such a thing. Not at this moment, but perhaps a little later. You're the undisputed champion of SMPS circuits!

      @@TYGAMatt I watch DiodeGoneWild too, but I think Haseeb Electronics is a little bit more practical in showing the actual repairing process in addition to describing the schematics. Nothing wrong with DiodeGoneWild. Both channels are great.

    Great video; thank you! You bypassed the zener diode. Why did you not replace it with a 12V zener diode?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 роки тому

      thanks a lot
      if we replace zener 12 volt,
      then there is no working region for TL431. as TL431 VKA (voltage cathode to anode) range is upto 40 volt.
      so there is no need to connect 12 volt zener
      just Current limit resistance, optocoupler, TL431, and voltage divider resistance is a good selection to build feedback circuit

    Hello Haseeb. I would like to find out , if you had just modified the feedback circuit withought re winding the transformer, would you only then have 12.4v @ 0.54 amps at the output?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 роки тому +4

      NO,
      we cannot adjust output in so wide range. from 57 VDC to 12 Volt it is impossible.
      as at maximum input line voltage the PWM IC will switch at minimum duty cycle i.e around 4 percent. so if we adjust just feedback circuit, then the PWM ic cannot decrease more duty cycle, if we will try to adjust it, it will lead to fluctuations in output, because IC will move in RESTART mode

    If we wrap 4 turns on winding we get one side 14volts ,reversing directio get 5volts but in both cases current is very low(4 wires in parallel)remain circuit is ok.perhaps this winding should before auxalary winding or another reason.hope ur answer.u r practical and theoratical expert thanks

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  Рік тому

      if turns provide required voltage
      that means the turn ratio is good.
      you need to consider input power, and primary turns and wire size,
      might be proper magnetic field is not being generated.
      try sandwich winding method for primary winding. and observe core gap as well
      i will try to explain it practically

    • @GannDolph
      @GannDolph 2 роки тому

      16 v was full duty cycle with no feedback/regulation in place. Then he created a voltage divider to take 12.4 v down to 2.5v and feed into the TL431 shunt reference regulator. That operates the optoisolator which provides feedback to the input/switching stage, thus regulating the output to approx 12.4v

    Can we modify voltage output without changing transformer? If I can adjust output by changing switching frequency ,so it it possible?

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 роки тому +1

      No we cannot change the frequency, of we will change switching frequency, it will increase or decrease BMax, which will increase losses. And power transfer will not acceptable which will cause to lower efficiency
      Transformer core will heat up or winding my damage

    • @HaseebElectronics
      @HaseebElectronics  3 роки тому +1

      In amps design
      First priority is transformer
      Then frequency
      And then the remaining circuit
      So if we play with 2nd or 3rd item
      The first item will effected directly
