@@DirpyDirt oooh nice! Anything from Silent Storm is badass. Maybe taking the Ascendant Justice from Halo First Strike or the spartans defending the generators
Absolutely fantastic! Seeing Mega Construx with more realistic scenery is great, and you really nailed the open world feeling. You've got a real talent, hope to see you make more!
this is all around brilliance. I can't even go into how great this is, I was almost immediately invested by the thumbnail, and then the opening animation. love seeing pre-existent lines used in these, it just feels so authentic. I sincerely hope you continue with this stuff. if not this same story, or these same characters, stop motion in general. looking forward to what you produce next :)
Bro, this comment is amazing! Thank you so much ❤️. I am very happy you enjoyed it and took the time to tell me about it. I will definitely continue to make stop-motions in the future. Thank you 💖
I really liked your animation, the movements of the marines and the effects of the bullets and projectiles are well done I hope that more people discover this amazing animation, keep it up and greetings
The part we’re the banshees are chasing them, that’s from Fall of Reach novel, were private Walker freezes up. Good inspiration dude. Good job, on the Animation.
The first part reminded me of the first part of a halo music video I don’t know the name but the first line is “we’re low on rounds with grunts in bound but here you are our savior now with you around with master this campaign we’re glad you came we’re glad you came”
The bois are back to another if only this happen in the game it would have been cool to see our favorite ozzy kicking ass and taking names with the chief making the banished pay for everything them have taking
Really good job man! The sets were detailed and very complex. The vfx work for composites to just muzzle flashes were done excellently. The music also added a lot to the piece. The animation could have been eased in and out a bit more although. This was super creative and well put together! One of the largest scale aniatmjkns for mega construx I’ve seen. Great work I subscribed
man, this was incredible! The use of effects felt seamless, the voice actors felt like they gave it their all, and the animation work itself was great. I look forward to seeing more of what you can do!
I've always messed around with stop-motion and that sort of thing, but yes this is my first for real stop-motion film I've uploaded. I appreciate the feedback! Thank you very much 👌
Fantastic! Easily a 9/10. Only nitpicks is the Banshee bomb doesn’t come from the “eye”. And the main character should’ve had another shoulder piece imo
Ok so if the fps was increased a little bit, then this would be even better. But my overall thoughts: incredible. Effects were used very well, set pieces were great, action was good, everything about it. Just added it to my playlist of awesome halo animations. I cant wait to see more from you. This was very good
Really good. Love the effects and the set. Not sure, even with blu-tack, how you got them to stand up. :-) Great colouring and image quality as well. I'm guessing you've got quite a large area to animate in. You do make it count though. Great sense of scale. Is this going to be a one-off or more stop motion on the cards?
I had used a putty like substance to keep them standing up right. And I was fortunate enough to have a dedicated room to film in. Thank you so much for the comment! 👌And judging from everyone's feedback, I might be making more in the future!
Thank you! I was able to collect voice lines from the game files using a program called "foobar2000" (it can also be used to get sound effects) Then I just collected my sound effects from either in-game, or the internet.
Absolutely amazing work. Loved every second of it. If you ever need a wide range of voice actors, we have a whole stop motion based discord server if you'd be interested
Absolutely Fantastic work! So creative and great dialogue! I’m getting into stop motion but I would love to know how you create the background and have the great sound effects. It’d be awesome to learn from such an amazing animator, though I probably won’t ever be this experienced I’d love to know. All I have is a iPhone, a tripod and a LEGO board for my figures to stand on. If you have any tips n’ tricks plz let me know! Thank you!
Amazing comment, Thank you so much! I'd love to help out in any way I can. I think it's amazing that you are interested in stop-motion. Although I'm not as "experienced" as you may think (This was my first big stop-motion project), I have learned a lot and I'd be happy to share, so here are a couple of tips I would give. Keeping the camera consistent: Keeping the camera secured and consistent is always my top priority. Since you are on a phone this might be a little more difficult for you. I would make sure your tripod keeps your phone as steady as possible. And I would find an app that would allow you to control your camera settings (to prevent a difference in each frame). Finally, I'd try to find a way to take the pictures without touching the phone, or touch it as light as possible. Basically, once you set the camera up you don't want to mess with it. Don't get frustrated: It's easy to make a mistake, and your scene starts to fall apart and you get frustrated, we're only human, so if this happens just step away for a few minutes and then come back. Unfortunately, this happened to me in a couple of scenes so just keep an eye out (I definitely will be for the next one I make) Having consistent lighting: Using a lamp or flashlight rather than the sun, or light that will change over time, will improve the look of your stop motion, and remove light flickering between each frame. Keep watching more: Watching videos about stop-motion, or even watching stop-motion can really help you absorb and use new information. Stop-motion can take a long time as well. This video took me around 6 months, (but it was on and off work to be honest) But at the end of the day, just mess around and have fun with it. I look forward to what you have in store! 👌
Annnddd, to answer your question about the background, I actually used my tv. I put an image on it and it turned out pretty well. And for the sets, I had followed some miniature landscapes tutorials on UA-cam.
How’d you find this DLC trailer leak?! This is perfect! It’s so amazing, especially the use of in game voice lines that actually sounded like intelligent conversation!
When I saw the thumbnail I thought this had a chance of giving the same feeling as the classic Mega Bloks animations. It absolutely does. Well done.
Bro, I'm so happy to hear that! Thank you 👌
The marine with the Australian accent always reminds me of the legendary Chips Dubbo
love how you used the halo ce marines dialogue. truly some of the best writings for marines in any games
Thank you! Couldn't agree more. 👌
So glad that Chips Dubbo was the one in charge during this whole thing. My man finally getting the respect he deserves
