For the majority of springs you can pull them with the mat and hook into frame however there is a point where there is no more give in the mat, at this point we used the strap and then it doesn't matter which way you pull the spring. For those who say they can put these things together with one hand, blindfolded, you are most welcome to come and give a demo because on this trampoline at least, there is no chance! ;-)

A better way is to put the spring in the eye and then pull back and attach the spring to the frame, much easier and faster, :)

Which is how we did most others, but when it gets to the point that the mat won't stretch any further it doesn't really matter what you do!

The Restoration Couple the mat don’t stretch it’s the springs. So putting the one end in the eye and the hold on half of the spring and pull it to you that way you don’t try to pull 200 springs at once but only the one you are trying to put in ;)

Pizza Pizza No you can’t, the springs do stretch but it hurts your hands so this guy showed us probably the easiest way.

We can’t get to the outside to pull as there’s a wall so this is ideal thank u

Levers work wonders, make an offcenter cirkel of plywood with a lever plugged onto it, put a couple of hooks mounted on a belt and twist the cirkel with the lever and you should be able to pull the eyes close enough to the spring you can hook it on.

This is from my sister: So we found an easier way, we take an old spring and attach it to the end of the other spring and use it for the ability to pull it further. It worked so much quicker and we were easily through this and we are in our 60s.
On the above comment, I forgot to include that we prayed for wisdom from the Lord, and the Lord gave us this insight

We’ve honestly put together and broken down trampolines, BUT later discovered 🤦🏽‍♀️🤷🏼‍♀️🤷🏽🤷🏽‍♂️……. All springs GO ON MAT FIRST!!! Reason being is the mat stretches to the frame. We were putting springs on frame , then stretching to mat……….. no bueno lol. This way you use different muscles. Start in the beginnng EVERY 10th spring , then continue number 9. Then 8 , so all is distributed!❤

Pull the spring from the mat towards the frame and then just hook it in !

Shouldn’t you have uploaded this video on April 1st? Of course, I mean that affectionately because I think you’re great and I love your videos but if you had to move a heavy chain 20 metres, would you push it... or pull it??? Hook the spring on the mat then use the spring ‘puller’ and ‘pull’ the spring towards you to hook it onto the frame, easy peasy! ;-)

Yep, works fine for th majority, but when you hit the point that the mat cannot stretch any further that no longer works. Perhaps other trampolines can be easier, or maybe I am just weak!

Yes Tim, I’m sure you’re correct. Mine are probably much easier because I’m pulling the springs on our 12’ trampoline at waist height but I am tempted by your ‘come and have a go if you think you’re hard enough’ challenge... only you’re too far away ;-). Luv the vids, keep them coming!

You are supposed to attach the springs to the mat and pull into the frame. This way you are stretching both the mat and the spring at the same time. My wife can easily do it like this

Nah go every 10 springs then goes every 5 then should be easy as. But you hook the spring onto the mat and pull the mat mate. You went the hard way.
