Thanks. Once you are done with the first one the other ones go pretty quickly. Someone told me instead of doing lines they do an "X' pattern with a line on top and the bottom (sorta like an hourglass). Don't know if it's better or worse. Just depends on how creative you want to be. Good luck!
Interesting! Yeah I just basically ended up doing just as you showed. I think they are stronger than the factory ones now haha. Pretty happy with the result. And now I can easily fix more as they break! Which they inevitably will with my hooligan children.@@koyvu73
I need the strapping too for mine. I wonder if I can buy some of that web/strap as well. Heck, now I think I'm even missing the 'D' metal thing too that the spring clips on to. Arg! A new mat is also less than $100 depending on the size.
Ha, yeah, that is why I decided to try and fix it myself. Couldn't let the kids down. Seemed like a waste to chuck it. I tried other method but this one worked the best.
For me, it’s not the stitching, but the web strap is actually ripping. This is the second trampoline I’ve replaced in only 4 years because the straps get brittle/fried and rip, making it necessary to buy all new. Was hoping someone here experienced something similar. It’s almost as if there’s a chemical that’s causing the straps to rot…
These trampolines need to be reinforced when you first buy them because the stitching is terrible and pulls out so fast. The next time I buy one I'm going to fix it before I even install it because I'm tired of repairing them all the time.
It's actually not that easy to fix unless you have nothing else going on in your life. Unfortunately I'm busy with hundreds of other projects. When you consider that they're about 70 of these things all the way around the trampoline, it takes a considerable amount of time and effort when you're trying to get other things done in life! I bought a brand new trampoline mat thinking that would help in the new ones break out right away too. They're just so weak, and my kids are still small, so its not because of their jumping very hard.
Excellent tutorial = exactly what I needed- ThankYOU so much!!
@@maryadelman336 glad to hear it helped!

Ha, glad to hear it.
Very helpful! I’m gunna order one of those on Amazon right away. I got 4 to fix all in the same corner of the tramp.

I need to find one of these.....oir springs jist started tearing off.. and my kids use the trampoline witb their biddies every single day.
What's that speedall actually called? I can't search for it by description.
There are lots of types. Just search "speed awl". Just remember to get one that comes with wax string to be used outside.
