Quiet Riot will always have a place in rock history. Their album Metal Health was the first ever metal album that reached No.1 in the charts thus bringing metal to the masses.
Rest In Peace Kevin DuBrow and Frankie Banali I worked with the band here in Monterrey México on the Monterrey Metal Fest 1. Great Festival: Dokken, Twisted Sisters, Quiet Riot, Shaman and Dio....!!!
The 1983 us festival Day 2 (Sunday, May 29th 1983) was dubbed “Heavy Metal Day,” with Quiet Riot; Mötley Crüe; Ozzy Osbourne; Judas Priest; Triumph, Scorpions; and Van Halen. We enjoyed every minute of that day!!!!
This was my first concert when I was 13, Heavy Metal Day at the US Festival. Still remember this like it was yesterday. All the bands kicked ass. 2nd best concert for me, best concert was Powerslave tour saw Maiden at Long Beach when they rcorded Live After Death.
I was there too, around that age...all the bands were so fresh and amazing! But the heat and bathroom situation turned me off of festivals from then on. Wouldn't trade the experience tho!
Great band, great concert and festival. those were great times. Next their brilliant song "Cum on feel the noize" necessarily from the same concert. although they also played great in 1983 in Dortmund, Germany. Rudy Sarzo is a fantastic bassist to this day. Carlos is a really talented guitarist, unfortunately Kevin and Frank are no longer with us.
This is such an underrated song. This is what 80’s metal is all about. It’s about having fun, head banging, playing air guitar, and rocking out…and of course sex & drugs is recommended. This is the anthem to 80’s metal/rock music. If this doesn’t get someone fired up, they’re definitely suicidal or DOA.
Quiet Riot were in my opinion the kings of party metal. They were all talented musicians and had a raw and unrehearsed showmanship (something missing in a lot of performers today).
1983, the year I graduated high school. It's mind boggling how much talent came out in the music world in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I'm sorry, but we'll never see a span like that again I'm afraid.
🤘🤘 Metal Health, Iron Maiden, Ratt Out of the Cellar, and Motley Crue Theater of Pain were my first Metal/Hard Rock cassettes for 8 year old me!!! Sounded fantastic out of my Ghetto Blaster!!!! 😁❤✌ 🤘🤘
When that tour hit I was 21 years old Rudy sarzo is always been one of my favorite bass players he not only played with quiet riot Ozzy Osbourne but also white snake and here in the lineup they had for that show man I would have loved to have caught that tour that's a hell of a lineup
This was the craziest concert I'd ever gone to. Got the worst sunburn of my life! but what a ride. See that teeny speck out there about a mile away from the stage? That's me! The concert was put on by Steve Wozniak, the co-founder of Apple computer. I think I had a contact high for like 3 days after.
Aaaahhhhh....... I needed that.. Oh Baby. I needed that... Yes. TRUE... I Saw QUIET RIOT perform LIVE. In Wichita Ks October 1983... With WHITESNAKE Opening up... Oh Baby. And YES. I Got My GLOW in the DARK Quiet Riot Concert T-shirt.....BANG YOUR HEAD......!!!!!
Cool reaction to a fun song. Has such a great intro. You guys are awesome. Suzy looking absolutely stunning as always. Keep up the awesome work you two. Quite enjoying your reactions.
This came out as a kid at 11 they opened for Ian Gillan (Deep Purple) singing with Black Sabbath. Only tour Black Sabbath did Smoke On The Water. (1983)
I was there. It was awesome to see so many great groups in just a three day span. I remember that Van Halen was was late to take the stage because David lee was drunk and kept forgetting the words, and Eddie had to pickup the slack.
Quiet RIOT was the first heavy metal band to recieve air time on the radio, all over the United States. 79/80, I was 14/ 15 years of age. My mother heard me listening to this: she said I'd go to Hell. STILL WAITING MOM.
Great band, Great album. Check out a couple more from them "Slick Black Cadilliac", "Condition Critical" and a couple of early seventies Slade covers "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" & "Cum On Feel The Noize".
Those were some of the first riffs i ever learned on the axe! One of my favorites on the radio growing up! And lets not forget Randy on the guitar! One of the greatest metal guitarists ever!!! Played for Ozzy too
US Festival 83. I was there. Memorial day weekend. I was 19. Left on a Thursday night with friends and didn't tell my parents. It's what got me kicked out of the house.
Kevin's last tour I saw them in San Diego. I was up front center stage. Awesome show. During the opening bands a woman off to the side of the stage and I were making a lot of eye contact. During the QR set I wasn't paying attention to her anymore. At some point someone tapped me on the shoulder. When I turned around, it was her. She leaned in like she was going to kiss me but instead gave me a little headbutt right on my forehead. It was so awesome! Then she turned around and went back to the side of the stage again. I turned back around because I wasn't giving up my spot at the stage. Carlos Cavazzo was looking at me from the stage wondering what the hell just happened. Went home with her after the show though so that was far and away the coolest experience I've ever had at a concert. A random woman seeking you out to just headbutt you out of nowhere. Just awesome.
That was the second day of the US (not U.S.) Festival - I went to the third day but we were staying with some people close to the venue so I know Van Halen played til 4am - the third day was mostly mud in the area close to the stage because they were spraying water on the crowd to keep them cool - luckily I was a +1 on one of the risers they had set up for people with disabilities - they also had a field hospital set up for heat stroke victims and injuries - Day 1 was New Wave - Day 2 was Heavy Metal - they originally had Joe Walsh on that day but moved him to Day 3 which was Rock - started with Little Steven and the Seven Disciples of Soul (Silvio Dante from the Sopranos) at 6am and ended with David Bowie who took the stage at 2am - I did see Quiet Riot twice later when I lived in Reno once at a Postage stamp sized place that later became a strip club - life's crazy but I had fun ;)
RIP Rhandy Rhodes Lead Guitarist! He died at a young age and he was going to be a all time great! He played with Ozzy after Ozzy broke up with Black Sabbath and after Rhodes Ozzy sank into a huge depression and drug beign if it wasnt for Sharon , Ozzy would of been dead along time ago!
What a great, larger than life ERA that was! Now I worry about bad knees, fatty liver disease, heart disease, hair loss, and an appendage that won't work anymore!
Watch the video by whitesnake the song is called still of the night, the guy plays his guitar like a violin but you have to pay attention because they only show it twice.
This was my favorite guitar players first band. Randy Rhoads. The singer, Kevin Dubrow, and the rest of the band had to convince him to go try out for Ozzy. The rest is history. Randy recorded the first two Ozzy albums and we had the new Quiet Riot. A little side note, my second concert I watched live was Ozzy with Randy Rhoads in San Francisco CA in 1980. Just months before he died. My first concert was Van Halen same year. My first two concerts I watched Eddie Van Halen, and Randy Rhoads. I am a blessed man. Love to guys. Love your reactions.
Lol. Just like a lead singer. “I don’t have enough attention. I know, I’ll go spotlight myself during the lead guitarist’s solo for just a little more.”
When Quiet Riot started the Famous Guitarist Randy Rhoads Helped Create this Band before leaving and joining up with Ozzy Osborne Band, after Randy Died Quiet Riot wrote a song as a Tribute to Randy the song is called "Thunderbird"
Rudy Sarzo, Bassist has played in most iconic '80's bands such as this band, Ozzy and I think Whitesnake too. As some mentioned both Kevin Dubrow and Frankie Balli died while Carlos and Rudy still today
🤙💫👌 Love you GuyZ . Today i have brought my cellphone to repair . The card of the battery rescharge has broken and not for may fault so I wasn't alle to comment ! 💙💕 9'47"-9'52" So true and deep concept !!
Quiet Riot will always have a place in rock history. Their album Metal Health was the first ever metal album that reached No.1 in the charts thus bringing metal to the masses.
Don't forget that they also were the first Metal band that knocked off Michael Jackson!
Yes I agree 100% and I feel that these guys deserve to be on the ballot 🗳 for the Rock 🤘 and Roll Hall of Fame!
that bass player Rudy Sarzo also played for Ozzy Osbourne. he is 100% legit.
Rudy has played with everybody. Randy Rhoads suggested Rudy to Ozzy. Of course Randy is the founder/original guitarist of Quiet Riot.👍
He also played for Whitesnake as well...
And he is back in Quiet Riot. He just rejoined.
Played for Dio as well.
I'm 52 years old. Graduated in 1988. QR was the first cassette (yes I said cassette) I ever bought. Absolutely love them!
Same age, found out the Lp,didn't buy it.Had this as an ending song of Theatre of pain by Motleys on tape duplicated.
I have the vinyl.
Pasha Founder Stephen Proctor produced the album
Rudy NEVER missed a single note when he was playing his bass upside down. Amazing
Never realized what a superb baseline this song has and Kevin Dubrow delivers on the vocals.
Rudy Sarzo Bass. Carlos Calvazo Guitar. Frankie Banali Drums. Kevin Dubrow Lead Vocals.. Band formed by Randy Rhoads
Rest In Peace Kevin DuBrow and Frankie Banali I worked with the band here in Monterrey México on the Monterrey Metal Fest 1. Great Festival: Dokken, Twisted Sisters, Quiet Riot, Shaman and Dio....!!!
Rest in Peace to both of them, i didn't know Frankie are RIP too 😔

This song never gets old.
80’s Rock totally amazing talent! GREATEST
Now it's wussy music it's true, but so true I'm 54 yrs old good stuff, being in 1980s better then than today's crap

This was the first album I ever bought. Made me a metal head for life! 🤘🏻. Love your reactions
Me too!

Wasn't at the US Festival, but yeah...Powerslave was a bad-ass show. Not the best I ever saw, but for sheer ass-kickery, Powerslave was a mother!
this album was number 1 when i was in 8th grade in 1983...great album
Great band, great concert and festival. those were great times. Next their brilliant song "Cum on feel the noize" necessarily from the same concert. although they also played great in 1983 in Dortmund, Germany. Rudy Sarzo is a fantastic bassist to this day. "Cum On Feel the Noize" is not theirs, it's a cover. Originally from Slade.
US Festival 1983 was badass. 300,000 plus in attendence , San Bernardino, CA hot-AF. Brutal but great day.
I was there. One week after my 17th birthday 15 crushed rows from the stage. 350,000 metalheads it was a great day
FUN FACT: Singer Kevin Dubrow (RIP) was the older brother of famous plastic surgeon Dr. Terry Dubrow from the show "Botched."
This is such an underrated song. This is what 80’s metal is all about. It’s about having fun, head banging, playing air guitar, and rocking out…and of course sex & drugs is recommended. The entire 1983 US festival should be reacted to featuring Quiet Riot. Whole show was amazing!
I was there 🤘🤘🤘🤘 I was 16 year's old 🎸🎸omg the best times of my life! I was so sunburn hah but it was so worth it 🤘🤘🤘💯💯
Killer performance. The raw guitar was insane.
That reaction when Rudy play his solo was priceless, love your channel 🤘🤘🤘🔥🔥🔥💛💙💛
Bass player Rudy sarzo is the living legend. He's played for QuietRiot Ozzy Whitesnake DIO and The Guess Who.
Oh. And YES.... QUIET RIOT Wichita Ks. Was my First Big City Concert... Kansas Collosium... EPIC.....!!!!!!!!
Quiet Riot were in my opinion the kings of party metal. They were all talented musicians and had a raw and unrehearsed showmanship (something missing in a lot of performers today).
I was there for that show! Best day of rock ever!
I love this reaction video. I think I've watched it a good 50 times already. Bang Your Head and rock on 👍👍👍
750,000 people in the crowd at the US Festival. Incredible
1983, the year I graduated high school. It's mind boggling how much talent came out in the music world in the 70's, 80's, and 90's. I'm sorry, but we'll never see a span like that again I'm afraid.
It seemed liked a Banger album dropped weekly, you couldn't keep up with all the great music...
You should check out the documentary about Frankie trying to keep Quiet Riot going after Kevin's death. His struggles were immense.
YES! I love that doc. I bought the dvd from Frankie's website as soon as it was released.
🤘🤘 Metal Health, Iron Maiden, Ratt Out of the Cellar, and Motley Crue Theater of Pain were my first Metal/Hard Rock cassettes for 8 year old me!!! Sounded fantastic out of my Ghetto Blaster!!!! 😁❤✌ 🤘🤘
Kevin DuBrow is one of the most underrated vocalist of any era.
When that tour hit I was 21 years old Rudy sarzo is always been one of my favorite bass players he not only played with quiet riot Ozzy Osbourne but also white snake and here in the lineup they had for that show man I would have loved to have caught that tour that's a hell of a lineup
Still one the best riffs in the world. Instantly know the song.

I have only seen Rudy pull off the upside down bass move. So bad ass . On a freakin' bass! And he NEVER missed a single note.
I will always know this song as the intro to the movie "Crank" and that's awesome!
God damn I was waiting for you all to do a reaction to this performance! This is as good as it gets in metal!
I was there. It was awesome to see so many great groups in just a three day span. I remember that Van Halen was was late to take the stage because David lee was drunk and kept forgetting the words, and Eddie had to pickup the slack.

Great band, Great album. Check out a couple more from them "Slick Black Cadilliac", "Condition Critical" and a couple of early seventies Slade covers "Mama Weer All Crazee Now" & "Cum On Feel The Noize".
And the Randy Rhoads tribute song, "Thunderbird", for the feels.
Those were some of the first riffs i ever learned on the axe! One of my favorites on the radio growing up! And lets not forget Randy on the guitar! One of the greatest metal guitarists ever!!! Played for Ozzy too
Fact Sarzo and Cavazo have two brothers which played in the band Hurricane.... key song "Over the Edge "
I saw them and the scorpions, fastway, and one other band I can't remember right now, at Legend Valley outside of Columbus Ohio back in the day 👍
Lead singers younger brother is Dr Terry Dubrow (sp?), he's a Beverly Hills plastic surgeon and has a tv show on the air chronicling it.....
80's was a great era for music 😎👍👍🎶✨
Yeah! 😜🎸👍
This was the band where Ozzy found the guitarist Randy Rhoads and bassplayer Rudy Sarzo.
US Festival 83. I was there. Memorial day weekend. I was 19. Left on a Thursday night with friends and didn't tell my parents. It's what got me kicked out of the house.

Kevin Dubrow was phenomenal... His Lil Brother is the Plastic Surgeon on the T.V Show Botched
I went to 6 or 7 QR concerts in the 80’s but was not at this one. Great group to see live!
Now this is a concert like the THE TEXAS JAM BEEN THERE 2 times 1984 and 85 !!!
Carlos Cavasos could shred on the guitar 🎸 🎸🎸. Sarzo is legit slso. He played with Ozzy Ozbourne after Quiet Riot

Somebody probably already said it ,but Randy Rhoads was in this band briefly before joining Ozzy Osbourne.
The Lead Singer, Kevin Dubrow, is the brother of Dr. Terry Dubrow from the plastic surgery reality show "Botched."
When Quiet Riot started the Famous Guitarist Randy Rhoads Helped Create this Band before leaving and joining up with Ozzy Osborne Band, after Randy Died Quiet Riot wrote a song as a Tribute to Randy the song is called "Thunderbird"

The bass player, Rudy Sarzo joined Ozzy. He and Randy were great friends. Man I miss these days.
Yeah, old Scholl music from the 80s 👍
If I was a wrestler this would be my entrance music
If you were the Missing Link, you did
