I know you've already recorded the next parts, but something I think would be very profitable for your GPT is selling off your map. As soon as you got it from Portugal, in my experience, turning around and selling it to any AI with navigation is very very profitable. Given this is sid, I don't know just how much profit you could make from it. But in the lower difficulties I've gotten upwards of 15-20 GPT from the AI for a stinkin world map haha. As always, can't wait for the next part!
Any time I've checked everyone's been super broke, or I took what I could get. Even if it was like, 40 gold from England. Because the land is so crummy here and AIs build so much army, they tend to be pretty broke. And I'm already fleecing Russia, Portugal, and the incans for all the gold they have using the diplomacy exploit. Maybe I could have got some gpt from russia on top of lump sum. But I wouldn't be surprised if they were broke from paying off the portuguese for other techs.

Great game, can't wait for the next part. Still not sure if 40 elephants can win you the game considering how they got like 15 muskets in the capitals. They will also have cavalry in 10 turns or so and will be spitting out a cavalry per city every 3 turns.

@@Spoonwood Sure it's cheesy but it has certain limitations still. Technologies like Nationalism are so expensive, and you need to spend gold on units upgrades also. For all we know Portugal will get Replaceable parts within the next 40 turns and will be unstoppable up until they launch the spaceship.
It's not 1v1 though. Military alliances :) The AI stockpile a lot of units but they do send those stacks of units to fight, leaving only 2-5 in reserve in the city itself.
@@suedeciviii7142 I'm not sure if Russia and England can make a difference vs Portugal. England would likely get wiped out real fast and Russia just take your gold and stay defensive. But you still need to deal with Inca before you even get to that point. And by the time Inca are dead Portugal can kill English or Russians, or take half of Inca for themselves. They tend to want to use the units they build, from my experience. So I don't expect it to be easy=)

Can someobody clarify for me. 1. Suppose I am trading resources to a civ and my trade route depends on 1 of my road tiles. If I pillage that tile. but I IMMEDIATELY REBUILD THE ROAD in the same turn, have I still violated my agreement? 2. Suppose I am trading a resource to civ#2 and at war with civ#3. Civ#3 unit steps onto (or walks across and keeps going) my only roaded trade route, have I violated my agreement? 3. Suppose 2 enemies have adjacent coastal cities and I want to blockade their harbors to cause trade agreement violation. Do they have to remain blockaded at the end of my turn or can it be a momemtary blockade? In other words, suppose I move my destroyers several tiles and have civ#2 completely blockaded. Then, in the same turn, I use my remaining moves to move away from civ#2 and use the same destroyers to blockade civ#3. Does this cancel both civs? 4. If it takes 3 tiles to blockade a harbor, can it consist of 1 barbarian boat, 1 civ#2 boat and 1 civ#3 boat?
Hey , I have recently redescovered civ 3, and I have watched most of your videos. I can’t seem to find any other good civ 3 content though. Your twitch does not have your previous live streams, and most of the videos I have found on youtube are lower difficulty. Can you (or someone else) maybe recomend me another youtuber or twitch streamer that has decent high level play on civ 3? I know this is a rather niche audience, but I really enjoy the game, and watching other people play it. Thanks in advance! Edit: I know I can find some pretty good games on a couple of fourms, but I would prefer video recomendations.
The only other solid, skilled content creator I know of is Absolute Zero. Sorry, that's why I started this channel in the first place, it seemed like there was a void. I've started a new job recently and so I've taken a break from streaming. If someone steps up to fill the void (like someone from the multiplayer community) I'll let you know.
When you have road connection with other, made a deal to exchange gold/turn and sum of gold for theirs resources and technologies, then cut roads connection between yours capital and theirs to cancel the resource they gave you. this will also cancel gold/turn deal you made without angering them due to them unable to send you theirs resource. you can immediately use multiple workers to finished the road in your turn and scam them again but at the last deal, you must exchange yours gold/turn for resource and all the gold you can get from them, Cut the road connection. ( make sure last worker isn't the last unit active, or the turn will end and they will use the gold in theirs turn. ) And that's done.

The crazy thing is that even with the exploit, you have essentially no military, and a surprise attack from any civ would have crushed you
Yeah that's how the previous attempt at winning on sid went hahah
High quality gameplay. I'm tempted to try out that trick myself. Maybe not on Sid, but Deity.

If not, it's about even once you mine underneath.
