I am a South African and there is a seven hours(more or less) difference between us and USA and on the day of the verdict I stayed up to see it. This case has affected not only Americans but the human race as a whole and indeed the world was watching that day. So proud of the prosecutors and the jury.

I'm glad the world saw this the way most reasonable thinking people in America saw this inhumane act.
Hi there from a fellow South African in the US. Can you imagine how that affected us here?
🙌Yay South Africa!!!🤗💖 The prosecutors and jury were awesome.👍💪🙂
I watched the documentary "District 9". That's all I need to know about SA. Your country fell off the cliff when apartheid ended. Now you can just suffer and blame every woe you have on the white man. How's that working for you?
Why did reasonable police officials allow chauvin to be a police officer after 17 internal affairs issues???? Puzzling
Not puzzling at all, a baby could fit those pieces together in a minute!
Because they were unfounded allegations, possibly? I know 17 is a lot but those allegations need to be proved. Doesn’t necessarily imply some sort of impropriety.
@@kt5661 But bear in mind that they need to be proved to THE POLICE, specifically internal affairs departments, whose findings can often be expressed as "We investigated ourselves and found no wrongdoing". Harder to find a bigger structural bias and conflict of interest.

Hats off to you gentlemen! In a so very obvious and blatant crime of killing, it is mind boggling how you guys explored every single avenue , to make sure you have an air tight case, and you prosecuted it beautifully. An amazing team of professionals!
Amazing! They made sure they plugged every potential hole! They’re closing really ties every single lose end, and their instructions to the jury was just impeccable! So glad he made the distinction between a hate crime and a hateful crime. Could not prove racism, but something wicked was definitely present.
Its just incredible how during the video, Chauvin looks down at George Floyd multiple times and reassuring his knee placement on his neck! Like he really really was enjoying that moment and how slowly but surely George was losing his life! All the way to the end when the ems people came to check his pulse, Chauvin still had his body weight concentrated on that damn knee! Yeah, I believe Chauvin enjoyed that moment when he took George Floyd life! He was convinced that he was going to get away with that killing. That's the only reason why he stayed on George that long. And that is pretty scary, because who knows how many times he and or his colleagues got away with something like this in the past. God does not ugly, he's finally exposed and punished for his evil heart. Stay safe everyone!!!

@Ohio State Limiting the verdict to possible uprisings seems to me an analysis that does not do justice to everything that happened in these three weeks. If people, of any color, are treated with dignity and respect thing will get better. US needs a serious transformations on the criminal justice systems. Your perception that the jury will make a verdict of guilt because the people do not rise up to demand respect and equal treatment is nonsense. It was virtually impossible not convicted Chauvin. Doing nothing and look to the other side is the way some people perpetuate abuse and mistreated. Let’s have a more intelligent look to this.
@Ohio State jurors are currently being intimidated by chauvin supporters
@Ohio State
Uh...I think it was the video of chauvin murdering a man... played the ONLY part in their decision to convict.
@Ohio State Talking about the situation. The whole situation. Let me explain to you something. I saw every day of the trial and every piece of evidence possible. The instructions to the Jury where clear and clarified by the Judge Cahill as many petitions as presented.
The arguments of the Prosecution Team were highly rational and logical. Is not my perception. It was the evidence and the absolute conviction of the jurors of the fact.
I disagreed on your perceptions. Saying that reports where the reasons for the Jury convict Chauvin, is unfair and minimize the time, efforts and understanding of the magnitude of what they were doing. They made history. There’s no doubt about it.
I love these two gentlemen, they did a fantastic job in those closing arguments and throughout the case. I watched the entire court case.

It was as the people of the crowd first started pleading with *Chauvin* to get off of *George,* that *Chauvin* copped the attitude *_that he's a COP and he doesn't take orders from an unruly crowd._* This can be plainly seen in that still photo of *Chauvin* with his knee in *George's* neck and his hand in his pocket.

@@bryanh5701 Bryan how can you say that, four and a half minutes pressure on his neck, begging for his life, when he realised his pleading was falling on falling on deaf ears,he called out for his mother
Debatable for certain. His lifestyle choices might have shown otherwise. I hate that this escalated over a $20 bill. The expectation bar is set a little too high for white police officers and honestly way to low for black males.
@@philipmcguire5039 No that’s not what i meant at all. Of course Chauvin killed him, i don’t think there’s any doubt. i’m just saying it was over a year ago, anything could have happened since then. Especially the type of life he was living.
I would like to mention that, Steve, you mentioned that, George ,was afraid to get in the back of the car because it wasn't very much space back there I was glad to hear you say that that's what I had notice also ,and that's the only time he was resisting when it consisted of getting in that car. IT there was more people in this world like you to lawyers this would be a much better world thanks for your service and God bless you .
Then why don't you read up on panic attacks/ anxiety attacks and what it does to breathing/ chest pains/ and how serious it is. All this before Chauvin touched him . 🙄
Lies . He started resisting when they tried to put the cuffs on him . Falling on the street. Not to mention the 100 lies he told. 😏
@@Zevanno2021 Then imagine how compounded & accelerated it was for 9 mins & some seconds. Thanks for helping to emphasize the point.
blacblackwell first of all he died at 8:25 41 , so I don't know why you are including the extra minutes . Second, he was on his side for over one minute when placed down. He was put into prone because he started kicking .
Dr. Tobin's testimony was all speculation. Why did Dr.Tobin cut off
Nelson when he said hypoxia affects the lungs. Tobin said it was only one process affecting the brain & heart .
It does affect the lungs. His breathing should have been rapid and respirations elevated . Not normal at 22. He mislead the jury on other things too. Nobody proved Chauvin killed Floyd. 🛑🛑🛑
The man said what the state vs was.. NOT the state vs the victim that had his life crushed out of him by a psychopath that was aware or cameras in broad daylight. Look at the head nod when found guilty.
What i saw was a hate crime. And the judge should throw the book at him.
I agree. Give him the max due to 'aggravating factors'.
The feds are investigating that. The DOJ is investigating his kneeling on a teen. He's being investigated for tax evasion. Don't you feel sorry for Chauvin?
@@carolynblair7688 he has been a low down cop for years and its time he be dealt with.
A Tribute in Memory of Mr. George Floyd
Don't close the door please let the light shine in.
Whispering sounds that echo off the walls.
Straps laced too tightly no room for me to move.
A blinding glance confuses me.
Words can't express the pain of false bravado.
Piercing stares from the tormented few.
All sides suffering
Can't take this life no more.
Nothing to chance for a man to break free.
I only need one eye to be open.
One ear to listen to what I'm trying to say.
Just take a moment to come inside and stand with me.
Everyday's a nightmare
I need someone to come save me.
As I lay distressed pleading please help me mama.
I see no beacon my life's growing dim.
Robbed of tomorrow can't help those who were chosen.
It's up to you where we go from here.
If I could rise I'd speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
There will be no tomorrow if we don't unite to be free.
The violence that follows will only fuel their hate.
Take the path that carries your voice of change.
Let's lay to rest and and put an end to this shame.
Be the hope your children need you to be.
If I could rise I'd speak up for my freedom with every breath I take that God has given me.
Come take a chance and take a stand in harmony.
Everyday's a nightmare I need someone to come stand for me.
There will be no tomorrow if we don't unite to be free.
Rest in Peace Mr. George Floyd

Yes indeed. Thank you so much for reading humble poem.
That was quite a nice poem. It put a tear in my eye.
It takes a long time and many hours to prepare for a case in this magnitude. That's why it's important to get the evidence right and get the questioning and especially cross examination right. It's all about convincing those 12 jurors because it's up to them find guilty or innocence.
Important fact: Not all trials are tried by a jury. Ever heard of a bench trial?
@@goldenvulture6818 bench trials are very small percentages and not done in high profile cases like this. Plus for Mr. Chavin a jury trial favors a defendant compared to a bench trial.
@@redmustangredmustang You're wrong. Both kinds of trials have advantages as well as disadvantages. They're both equally risky. There's no national law saying that a high profile case can't be tried in a bench trial.
@Musa Mansa Had he not had a trial, it would have been almost?as wrong as wrong as murdering Mr Floyd.
Why this case gained so much attention is the saddest and frightening aspect of this.
The prosecution was terrific and received Guilty verdicts for all 3 charges
There are good and bad police and this trial was a perfect example 🤔 we saw GOOD and BAD !!!!
All individuals either love or hate the police

Exactly.

Darnella🏆 and Judeaha🏆 were both # HERO'S🏅🥇💪 stood up for humanity, Chauvin bully!
A hateful crime indeed. Was race a factor? We'll never know. But just as Attorney Blackwell said. His white friends know something like this would never happen to them. My white friends say the same thing. But even as an attorney myself, I know for a fact that this could absolutely happen to me.
Say the latest name: ANDREW BROWN, Elizabeth City, NC. 10 officers either fired or retired already 😡😡😡
When your dealing with hateful behavior in people you get hateful crimes.
Thank you GENTLEMEN ✊🏾✊🏻
And WOMEN. The entire team were amazing!
In Derek Chauvin's mind he had only done what his fellow white cops had previously done with impunity. Hence the lack of remorse.
A prosecution of murderer not a police.
I truly believe had George Floyd been white he would be alive and I'm white!!!
I am trying to organize a Racial Healing Zoom Gathering in May, honestly I need help, what are your thoughts?
Absolutely loved these 2 gentlemen. All the way thru the trial, they were professional, consistent and left no stone unturned! Now, all that's needed is for the other 3 officers to get their just desserts. In the words of Tracy Chapman "finally the tables are starting to turn, talkin bout a revolution" 🙌🏻😁🎵✌🏻🙏🏻
I am trying to organize a Racial Healing Zoom Gathering in May, honestly I need help, what are your thoughts? ❤️✊🏽❤️ will you help me with invitations ? and ideas ?
These prosecutors shouldn't patting themselves on the back. Verdict by mob is not how our justice system should work. There is no way this was a fair trial and they know it.
Fairer trial then George Floyd for sure
“When you first heard the word guilty what went through your mind”? GOT HIM!
Making threats of violence against the jurors, the defense team and cities across this country if they found him not guilty really works.
"NO RIOTS" is what I thought. We all knew it was "guilty" Justice was done to this creep but not really the "best justice". DID Chauvin ever badly hurt any whites or only blacks? Seriously I can't find it on the lying web and I am just curious.
Tears Of Justice!!!
