LOLed at "I was inspired by some beautiful ambient pieces on these Moog semi-modulars, but I have no chill" - I was just thinking to myself "wow, this is getting strong and great!" Well done at not defaulting to ambient for these beasts, they're able to do more!
Damn. Such a beautiful arch. So we’ll designed. The development and time horizon of it is perfect. Mastery. I love the muted, dark synths still pulsing at the end after the filters close back down is gorgeous. And using the zen delay as a riser is totally next level creativity. Amazing work on this, man. Thank you for taking the time to educate us and give us a sense of what you’re doing along the well as well 🙏. Makes it not only fun to watch but I feel like I’m becoming a better producer watching you work. Total joy. Thank you!
I appreciate the kind words. I also appreciate you creating a platform for me to get paid as a musician during the non-touring era of my life, and during a pandemic. Let me know if you need music for anything (not that you would, but still). Also, your collab with Knower is a scorcher I still go back to years later!
Thanks for doing this. There is soul in this jam and it inspired me a lot. This kind of composition is what makes me stick to the journey of music and thereby influences the decisions i take.
@@kevycoldcuts why on gods planet, would You embarres yourself like this ? Not only is it totally out of order to plug your own music on another artists channel , but its not even a good tune, or Well executed 🙄
Your performances are always inspirational, energetic and extremely creative! Love the way you are always pushing the envelope (no pun intended, or is it) and the limits of the gear you use. Much love from the Netherlands 🇳🇱 ❤
I can only wish I had the level of understanding to truly respect what you're doing here on a technical level. All I know is I love it, the creativity and the different moods you're setting up and laying down are absolutely palpable. So much respect and admiration..
And this is really a brillient song...I listened to progressive electronica and I'm really loving how everything combined together and lifting to a higher emotion. I can learn a lot in your videos about how to make a song and how to arrange synths. I really really love your works so please make more:)
This felt like a trip, a travel through space and time! Great arrangement and composition, particularly for what started out as a loop and never saw you touch any of the sequencers!
Wow man. I’ve been trying to find someone that could sell me on this gear and this was it. It was the right context and beautifully executed. Appreciate you sharing this!
Wow, amazing work! How slowly you advance the filters... I can't even turn knobs that slowly. And I really love that you are not afraid to go with a little chaos in the end.
One of your best, I think! And I love all your stuff. The syncopated threes against the DFAM fours really was effective and seemed to create space for some of the "bouncing" from the other effects. I do love the Zen Delay. Very nice use of it!
This was absolutely… incredible. Just perfect, every bit of it. More inspired by the last 6ish minutes than I have been by anything in a while. Thank you for this.
That was amazing. Really great jam! Never thought to use delay like that, adds such intensity to the jam, I usually just set it and forget it. Very cool.
Just genius. Did listen to this already couple times after stumbling over the video yesterday. Pretty close to get into modular myself with those moogs. Great work!
Is ANYBODY in doubt , that this is a Jay Hosking tune !? I think not ! Again , the "Hoskingianna" shines through , to the incendiary powerfull polyrythms - Thanx mr. Hosking - what a great piece of music you given us here ,- 😘
1:32 Shakers of the future. Despite the Sub’s unpredictability, you came up with something that feels more musical than it typically does. You got the cousins together!
Oh dayumn, this was so nice. I was hooked to the screen, and the sounds! I love the little descriptions along the way. A really nice build-up and resolution. I'd love to get the Subharmonicon, Mother-32 and DFAM, but don't really want to shell out for 2 DFAMs :) It's a shame it's not more like the SH in that you could get 2 voices out of it at once, like the kick and the noisy hat you did here...
This is the greatest synth video on UA-cam. The way the Mother melody overlays the Sub - hits me right in the spine
You have good taste!

Agree 100%. Amazing.
Arch ? Like Noé ?
Impeccable. Love how clean the black background looks with this symmetrical set up.
This is masterful! The M32 and SH melodies are really beautiful.
I love the melody on that sequence and that liquid sound
This was excellent, it's strange how healing your music always is for me, thank you
Brilliant! This is the last video I need to watch to buy a Subh and Dfam, I'm 100% convinced now :)
I’m pretty sure this is my favorite video on UA-cam. I must come back to this at least a few times every couple weeks. This is such a fabulous take!

The performance descriptions are perfect. I wouldn't have had a clue of what those fingas 'n' knobs were up to.
Such a great groove. This is one of the best demos of this hardware I've seen. Thanks for sharing!
What an impressive performance and your editing (explanations) is killing it completely. Superb content! Thank you so much ☺️ Instant Follower here.
Ok, thats why these things were created. A tear is running down my eyes.
What a crescendo! That’s very impressive what you can achieve with this “limited” stuff. So powerful and inspiring.
Yea, thank god for people like him making music..... So many bad demos and jams on youtube.

This is absolutely incredible
Two DFAMs is always the right number! Superb jam so far. Still listening of course. Deploying the laser beams on the DFAM never gets old
Beautiful. That warm and cozy kick/bass is quite something.
Easily the best video of the machines I have ever seen.
You def have your own sound. Always a touch of melancholy. Love it!
This is lit! Great jam

Damn man, great stuff! And thanks for the little tutorial built into a demo performance. Nice.
Really awesome! Great demo of these pieces when used together. Keep up the inspiring work.
Wow. I really like the finale! Thanks as usual, Jay.
You just made me take my Subharmonicon out of the box again and start jamming. Thank you!
Jay, this is a masterpiece. We need more videos
This was so very good. Love to see the melodic side of modular/semi-modular.

I keep coming back to this jam. Wonderful.
Creativity, technicity, moods and colors are very impressive. This is a great piece of electronic music that deserves to be produce on an EP
2 years later, 5 thousandth play- still captivating. ❤ I wish this was available on spotify
It should be there. Song is called "Ostinato" and it's on the album Cinematic Works. And thanks!

What an amazing jam! I love the whole set you have there. But also, musically, sounds amazing

great ending sequence. really letting em roar before the soft wrapup
Nice, love the devolution into something a bit chaotic, and I might get my self a second DFAM after seeing how well a pair sounds.
thanks for sharing this beautiful, amazing piece! very inspiring.

Whoa! I can 100% guarantee that all I’d get out of the marvellous Moogs is beeps, boops and discordant buzzes. Nice work
I love the Zen Delay and its vacuum tube. Also, I love your tunes.
Man, everything with an empress label on it is amazing. As always, amazing, man. Thank you!
Legit got chills listening to this. Keep creating, man!
Love that creepy lead when the Mother 32 comes in at the beginning. 👍🏻
Wow, really a nice job! You did it just right
