    Have you looked at templates?,
You could have a series of templates with maximised layouts for certain brands and certain tools, the customer could lay the paper over the foam insert and just run your scalpel over the tool outline on the template, might even be able to follow the lines better.
Possibly be able to pin the template on the foam insert at the four corners for a more accurate, steady cut, or even semi stick for even better control of the paper on the foam, then you cut and peel off the excess around the tool outline leaving and easy to follow outline to pull out.
One for driver/drill with optional battery and bit slots etc, etc.
I'm sure a multi pack of templates would save a lot of time and head scratching.
If you don't have the actual tool in the way when your cutting your outline, you could create a scalpel holder that holds the blade vertically for even deeper and cleaner cut around tricky bends and right angles on the first cut, you could preset the depth on the holder and simply take the blade out of the holder to get the final required depth.
Possibly safer scalpel use for the guys notorious for being fat finger freddies.
I have an idea for a system that could be used thousands of times instead of just once.
I love the ideas from your company and would gladly help.
Sorry for the long post, the spigot of ideas got turned on.
    Keep well.

i personally am very efficient with my 2 tstak small boxes, where I don't need foam cause there are so many tools they hold themselves in place

Is there a shadow foam insert made to fit a Dewalt tstak 17803 deep drawer? I can’t find a foam insert to fit.

Sadly, once one pays for the shipping, I can buy two more TStak's.
    Good idea, good luck.
