Hi, i hope you do a summary video for the dsg swap, i got a 2002 golf mk4 1.6, and i am about to convert it to 1.8t bjx (150hp) with a dsg gearbox, but i am very lost with wiring, i am from Egypt, and i don't know if we have someone to tune the gearbox, so i was asking if it is necessary as I will be running it with a stock engine, with a stock ecu. Thanks for your help
Yeah i heard that aswell😂 ive ran 2 bar witout issues but then i removed it 1 time and probably didnt clean properly so sent of as soon as i hit Max boost so welded a flange on it so it stays haha
Havnt driven it enough yet so i cant say, yes they are long but im also bigturbo so it pulls alot when in revrange but also got very low tourqe down low so i have to shift down to make anything happen 😂 not sure how much better the shorter ratios would be down low but my guess is abit better. Tho at 90kmh im at like 1800rpm so pretty fuel efficient id guess🙏🏻😂
@@RedBaronGarage what turbo do you have and at what rpm the turbo starts to spool? i going to run a borgwarner EFR 7163 twinscroll on my 1.8t on lowboost, i think it going to spool at around 4000rpm.
Yeah ive been working on that for like 2 months… only have a w10/11 desktop and laptop and cant get it to read eeprom… if you have any advice thats apreciated🙏🏻
@@baremats91 got a blue kkl cable and vag eeprom programmer 1.19, think the problem is im running w10/11 because i can use the cable on vcds lite No problem

Hairspray on the couplers of the boost pipes you won't blow them apart trust me, mine help up 33 psi didn't blew up 😅😅.

How does it drive with tdi gear ratios?

Should you take a dsg from 2.0 tfsi or tdi?

@@rkstuntz5278 got a gt2871 at 1.8 bar. Got spool at like 3k and ~1bar at 3.5k 👌

@@RedBaronGarage if you can run it on vcds, have you set the cable in dummy mode in vcds before exiting vcds?
