You always hear someone talking about Sabaton saying they glorify war. Yet they listen to songs about Drugs, Murder, adultery, etc
Guy's, Sabaton is about the men, women and children on both sides who fought and died for their countries, Sabaton cares more about these people than the Governments of their countries.

I just discovered Sabaton 3 days ago, and in that short period of time they've gone from a band "I should check out" to probably the best rock band on Planet Earth. For me, a history fanatic and a fan of rock and roll Sabaton is perfect.

Plus he spent five years living an hour from where Alvin York grew up. Being able to share something that brings together so much of his past with my own love of metal was really special for both of us.

In Munich singing about Sgt. Alvin York - there's a decent chance (whether they know it or not) at least 1 person in that crowd's family was affected by Alvin York going all hardcore in WWI. Crazy to think about.

That show was brutal! We marched there as men and came out as a big family! We were sweaty, had no voice and saw Sabaton live!

Was lovely! Hard to find a parking space, all merch almost gone when we finally got in, but as bad as it started, the greater it ended, my favorite moment was when hordes of happy drunken people left the building, all cheering and singing:D

They were chanting "Noch Ein Bier" which translates as One More Beer. Sabaton are awesome live, got to see them for the first time last year with my wife. Metal On!

If its possbile, you can go to the 82nd airborne museum memorial at Fort Bragg, NC. To get on base, you need to show ID and get a pass. It has exhibits pertaining to the 82nd from its formation in WW1 to the present. Plus, there is also the Airborne and Special Operations museum in neaby Fayetteville, NC.
