- When you think of a Loft Bed you don’t necessarily think of it also being a Movie Theater, but this bed build is exactly that. My daughter came up with a design for a Loft bed that incorporates a projector and screen for movie viewing. So in this video I show you guys how I built the bed and also give you guys free plans in case you want to try this build yourself.

This really made me cry thinking about all the time I used to spent in my dad’s workshop doing projects like this. I even got the treehouse he built me tattooed on my arm. You’re an awesome dad.
I can only dream to have a fourth of this man's workshop...
I wish my daughters asked me for builds like this, but then again I have no wood building knowledge nor a woodworking shop hell I don’t even have any daughters
This absolutely killed me
Best to start practicing now then. Chicks dig men who can build stuff. My dad made us the cutest little toybox, looked like the animal cracker box, like a cage with a Lion silhouette on it, also it had 2 drawers built in for smaller toys. But that meant we could empty it out and give each other rides because it was like a little seat and it had wheels.
He also built a custom desk for one of my sisters who was into art and architecture, TONS of tiny little flat drawers for pens and papers and things. I still love hanging around in home improvement stores and lumber yards and hardware stores.

For all the people watching this I just wanna say I'm jelly of these girls cause some of us grew up without a father and this just hits a little hard because I will never know what it's like to spend a little time with my father and u girls should be proud of ur dad since he's an amazing one... Pocket holes rock no matter what others say. If it works well then use it. Love the loft bed. The creative thinking involved in a project like this is impressive. Utilizing the window for lighting was a great idea as the underside can get quite dark (which of course makes it great for a movie theatre experience). I bought one back in college and am still using it to this day. I added nanoleaf shapes light panels to the underside of mine to give me better control over the level of lighting on the underside and have mounted speakers in the corners to get both better sound and also to get the speakers out of my way. If she ever goes off to college it'll be super useful for those small college town rooms. I'm super impressed.
She already is asking for a new bed lol. I told her she will be a old lady sleeping in it lol

Just finished putting together a loft bed for my son. He absolutely loves it. One of the best investments we have made as his room is long but narrow so giving him a multi-use space will serve him well as he continues to grow.... only problem is, now his sister wants one too haha
