I think he was actually talking about the problems he had with label when he decided he wasnt gonna stick to commercial stuff anymore... Every true Jesse Jagz fan knows that he was the brain behind most chocolate city hits as a producer and he's a rapper too.. but when he decided not to go commercial anymore and just make music for fun and the love of it, then his label started being funny.. his album was delayed and stuffs and he left.. he went missing for a while and his troops still followed him(he has a very loyal fanbase of which I'm one) then he returned with the album that track is on..
My own perspective though..
Jesse jagz does it all
Concept
Hard tracks
Party jams
He is universal AF
Im suprised you messed up the Nephilim bar.. he said trembling remembering.. then listed the giant warriors known by Gods/Titans and man.. Im not sure where your mind was but you missed that bar by a long shot.. everything was connected in the stages of human and divine warfare.. Kindly listen again and 'catch it'
According to the bible a nephilim is the child of an angel and human
So "dawn of a nephilim" "spawn of a cheribim" (which is an angel) actually makes sense
And then he said somethings about serpent and fruit of the tree which are also bible stuff
Please go listen to Jesse Jagz - Pedal to the floor. Its 6mins of pure 🔥🔥🔥
U educate and enlighten me so much about rap... I'm a fan of your works...
Same here ✊
I love seeing yall say things like this in the comments. I try to make the channel more than "Thats dope" or
Thats wack" you know. I know i dont get a chance to comment back on everyone but know that i see these and appreciate them
The trinity MI n AQ
Jesse Jagz - Pedal to the floor
I love how real you are with your reactions. Nice critic bro 👏👏👏 By far the best rap music reaction channel.
Finally the highly anticipated reaction.Good job Steve,we appreciate you for what you do.
Wonderful analysis Steve. I also learnt something from you.
Jesse's dad was a clergyman and he had always been some sort of a rebel in comparism to MI. Rapping wasn't entirely illegal where he came from but his general orientation was... He talked abt it more in one of the songs off his EP "GARBA"
Oh, pls react to Trinity by MI Ft. AQ
Salute 👌
Trinity is nice
Good job sir, thanks alot, I really enjoyed it , plus it was a very honest reaction. Jesse jags is not really a commercial artist. he's a conscious and nerdy rapper. he drops an album without fanfare, no promo or videos and he goes D'Angelo for a while. he is constantly evolving and experimenting with sounds through out his career. you may wish to check out the search (radio), G, the case, a new world, brother, louis, wide and blue among other dope tracks... keep up the good job big man
A new world is crazyy
The flows in wide and blue is fireeee
A real jargo fan right here.
I love that you are a nerd about mythology. I feel MCs have to be really knowledgeable about a lot of stuff. I'm huge mythology head myself.
Seraphim are 6 winged angels. Cherubim are 2 winged angels.
Like you said Nephilim can be interpreted under different contexts. But having one of the parents as an angel is always consistent.
Yet another incredible job there..
This is one of my favourite track from Jesse Jags, and all those years i have listened to it, i didn't catch some of the things you talked about here..
Super educative one...
Thank you..
That brother, Jesse Jagz, he's got no business with commercials or fanfares, he just loves to make music.
You should check out “the case ft sdc"
Great reaction man, God on the mic is a song i always love to hear
Jesse jagga is very deep, sometimes you need to replay the sublime to understand the connection
Wow Steve I respect you bro..💯 . Good job nice reaction ✊🏽
That's a fair score. The song has highly intuitive lines... I guess that's why most Jesse fans love it!
You really good at what you do, wished I discovered your channel sooner but better late than never!
Well this is my Favorite Jagz track
I like your criticism
Seduction by eminem is a typical example of a concept song. He spoke metaphorically about rap music as though it was his girlfriend whose attention other rappers wanted.
You're really good at what you do bro. I'm hooked
The only reaction I look forward to..
#GSgang
Thats love
Facts
You missed the fly and play on Newton's gravity which was totally dope too. Good reaction though
I'm learning a lot about Nigerian hip hop from this channel, thanks Steve. #G'sgang4ever
Always love my guy. Did you see your comment on my collab video with seun T where we responded to comments? Always been a real one #GSGang
@@SteveBussaGS I'll have to catch it my man ddnt see it one love.
Brother. Keep up the good work.
🙏🙏
Great reaction score... So on point! 👍🏾
Jesse jagz kanye moment well documented in this track...he ain't joking. god on the Mic is some dope ass super creative writing.chills every time I listen
#GSGang you no what it is......When are we getting MI Abaga-Everything Reaction...we are waiting for this
The next MI thing i was planning on doing was a full album review of Illegal music and see how people liked that but im still working on the format. Ideas?
There are certain tracks of MI that are huge fan favourites. We local fans already fuck heavy with them but will like to see what an outsider like you think of them
1) Do you know who you are?
2) Not just ok
3) Everything
4) Brother
5) Phase 2
6) Do I move you? Etc
Nice reaction, Steve. It's almost criminal if you still haven't done a reaction to "everything" by MI Abaga. You'd be wowed with the schemes in-track..
I'm here for the honest opinions and the education. This channel is something different. Big Ups Steve.... I will suggest Nigerian Gangster, (G and A from his latest EP GARBA). In G he was real vulnerable about his life growing up and his family. Worth Checking Out. In A, he talked about putting on for his city J-Town(Jos), which used to be one of the liveliest cities in Nigeria till religious bigotry and terrorism diminished it's shine.
Nice reaction as always, looking forward to the next one.
Respect you man you know the culture so well
Which makes your breakdowns and interpretations so damn clear and you do teach a lot great work I always hit the like before watching already 💯😁👌🏽
Bro, do Pedal to the Floor by Jesse Jagz next. Nice reaction by the way.
Best reaction channel ever. Check out these when you have time.
1) Summertime - Jesse Jagz ft. M.I Abaga and Ice Prince.
2) Everything - M.I Abaga
3) Can I talk - Ice Prince ft. Joell Ortiz and M.I Abaga

You are the best.
You can do Jesse Jagz Sex and Scotch or Jesse Jesse jagz ft wizkid
Yo!!!!! I just got the epidermis fog in the night racism line. Shout to your dope self bruh. You are really really dope and enlightening
First time here. And I really love this video. You’re really truthful. ❤️❤️
That Nephilim part you missed really hurts me 😢
Now I’m addicted to your channel 😍
I think the story is that of hercules
Not an exact fit but interesting interpretation for sure
Think over the years, all the popular gods have similar storylines just a few distinctive features here and there but still basically similar stories
Also, 13K! Love to see the growth!
He wasn’t talking about rap, all he said made sense
Loved it. You're doing the Lord's work bro
Kindly react to Jesse Jagz "Murda dem"
Dope song
big fan of your channel bro even if I think most times you kinda miss the point but I let it slide bcos you actually make the effort. you a hip hop head so I roll with you
React to Jesse Jags ft. Burna Boy - Violation
Please react to M.I Abaga's Everything I Have Seen & Do You Know Who You Are
Jesse Is a volcano flame in lyrics.and when it comes to rap his a monster with a the mic his shit are really dope💥💥💥💥and inspiring💚
Dude is a freaking nerd, got a reference from Devil May Cry 🤣🤣
Proud nerd sir!
This is great reaction coming from a well-informed reactor.
M.I, Jesse Jagz and Young L- Roses... Bless your Ear Drums... I guarantee a minimum of 87
This is what I love to see!! #GSGang add your own scored to the comments etc. Imma add this to the list just cause I love the way you asked
You did great
I like the criticism
But I think you got the nephilim concept wrong tho
Great reaction bro
Thanks for this, I requested this and I appreciate
Im getting some push back for a few different reasons on that section. Im open to interpretations just remember that this is a reaction video which means its just what my thoughts are when I hear things without any indepth research. Thats what the comment section is for!
@@SteveBussaGS yea you said "depending on where you get your mythology from. So yours probably gave you that reaction to his bars. We basically get ours from the Bible. So it was a very great connecting bar. Jesse can't make those mistakes. He's probably (with his brother) the most intelligent rapper in Nigeria without even trying
@stevebussaGS no issues bro
One love ❤️
Please react to 100 crowns cypher “the coronation “ by jay pachino, hitman, Gemini and hollyfield, 🔥 🔥 🔥
Its up
Please react to this, next Nigerian rapstars
Top notch reaction, the critique and scoring was fair. I wish it was higher but that's just me being biased, good job Steve.
I know you are a fan of the Rah-Rah, bar heavy style but if you want to listen to something deeper and a bit artsy, try MI Abaga's "Self evaluation of Yxng Dxnzl". It's an introspective piece of work
I love hip hop heads and you are one
When he says "clothed in Armani, returned to the mountains, the place where they found him"... That could be a reference to Jos, the city he grew up in Nigeria.
Dunno about mountains but there's hella plateaus there... Hence Plateau, Jos.
He said education time, take a knee guys. lol #GSGang
Jcole’s lost ones was a concept rap too
Love it
I believe the verses have deeper meanings prolly from a whole different perspective plus he produced it too
Keep up the good work, this is dope, react on Jesse jags- new world.
Jesse jagz is one of the best rapper in Africa
Hi Steve, When are you doing the kaligraphy Jones vs blaqbonez diss tracks?
He decided to break character
Nephilim, seraphim, and spawn of the cherubim can be cross-referenced. The book of Genesis mentioned all this. Also, check out the book of Daniel and Revelation. By the way, he grew up around theology and Philosophy in the hills of Jos. I think you missed him there.
Jesse jagz is highly intelligent
He’s not taking it out of the concept with that line. The god is himself. The story is basically about him and so he can break all the walls he wants.
I'll love to see you react on omo alhaji freestyle by jasse jagz
Thank you for doing this. You do know your stuff.... I mean that's why we are subscribed.
Long post alert.
Yep! It's a concept track and you're right with the perspective of a god he appears to be rapping from.
Back story, Jesse was in the same label with his brother -Chocolate city- where he release his first studio album, Jag of all tradez. The album catapulted him to limelight and explored his depth both as an artiste and a producer. He got accolades for it. Few years after that, he left Choc City Ana started his own label, Jagz Nation. He released Jagz Nation Vol 1 where this track is from. It was rumored that he left Choc City (or was forced out) due to some in-house debacle. Some said he owed money, some said recreational drug use. However all of this was debunked so we really don't know what we do know is that this track kinda referenced that situation in a concept as you rightly put it.
Replay value, yeah maybe not so much but once in a while I go to it and I'm still awed. Maybe I'm too much of a fan. Actually the first time I listened and with the knowledge of that back story, I was blown away!
Finally I see people have passed comments on the Nephilim bar so I won't talk about it.
The award he received was "Lyricist on a roll" which I would guess spoke more about the delivery on this concept track compared to other songs out there in that era (in Nigerian Hip-hop scene).
Keep it coming!
Oh yeah.
I forgot to add. He left Lagos and went back to Jos (where he grew up) for a bit. I'm guessing that's where he wrote the song or whatever. All of that played out in the concept, particularly the first verse.
Sorry, my thoughts coming together in short spurts.
Also in this second studio album there are tracks in it that kind revealed the references to the rumors on why he left Chocolate City which lends credence to the stories. One of such is "Burning Bush" which metaphorically referenced recreational marijuana use.
Jags Nation Vol 1 was also well revealed and further cemented his place as probably the best rapper in Nigeria and he returned to Chocolate City for a while and he's has now left again.
Okay. I'm a Jesse Jagz "groupie" #Unashamed Lol 😂🤣
It's funny you mentioned Nas. Jesse's mini brother sued Nas a few years ago because he felt Nas turned in a subpar verse on a song he was paid for.
Thats either hilarious or saddening
Nigerian Gangster by Jesse Jagz
I like the fact that you are open minded. I am a fine
When are you going to react to kilograph Jones- Best rapper in Nigeria.
I’ve been pleading 🥺
Its actually part of a 4 part series doing that beefs back and forth. It will likely be after the LJ series
@@SteveBussaGS Thanks 🙏
I’m anticipating
Once you do this don't forget to do the reply Green blaq green by Blaqbones
No nigerian rapper with such name... He's Kenyan
@@olayiwolaseun4112 We know duh 🙄
That’s why he said seraphim spawn of the cherubim
Nephilms are angels who fell down to earth and had children with humans
In the bible, the sons of God(angels) had sex with the daughters of men to birth the Nephilims: Genesis
There's also a book of the Ethiopian canon of the bible, 1st Enoch or the books of watchers, where some angels are told to watch the people on earth, instead they have sex with them and they also taught man the art of metal works and so on. It's a more detailed account of the genesis Nephilim story.
So, Jesse saying spawned of a cherubim (angel) isn't just picking random words that rhyme together, IMO.
Nice reaction too💯
I like this
Dawn of the Nephilim (Fallen Angels)
Beware of Him
Cherubim and Seraphim are both Angels.
So I don't think you got that part. All 3 words actually track. They've already shown that he fell from the Sky. That qualifies him as a Nephilim.
Jesse is deeper than what this Steve guy understood
How so? Your statement provides us with 0% useful information. Educate us instead of leaving useless comments family
You're missing it. He wasn't talking about those mythological characters to tell an ancient story. The entire song is about him being the god of rap, came in the game and ousted other wack rappers and gave back good music to the streets. The use of the mythological characters was in other to establish himself in celestial ranks with known great gods. Don't ruin a good thing because you lack clear understanding of it.
Not my favorite of his I've heard thus far but further makes admire his versatility for sure.
Hadn't even watched before I liked....#GSGANG
If you like concept tracks, maybe you should check out Vector's The man with a Gun. It's dope.
They are not 3 different things! He is making sense, read your bible. Hahahahah, U funny but I still appreciate your work.
Bros Well done
