Love that you were straight to the point and didn't add a bunch of unnecessary information. And i love that you added variety of designs for different plants!
Can you show us step-by-step how to set up the green bean trellis and cucumber trellis systems? I realized it may be simple enough for some but for others like myself I need a step-by-step. Thank you.
I see you use building blocks also for your raised beds , me too , I fill them with dirt , and plant different things in them like flowers to pollinate garlic chives ect looks pretty and productive
Excellent Video. Short. Clear. To the point. My hat is off to a truly well done video in the sea of rambling chaos. You've made a subscriber out of me. If I were not unemployed right now, I'd become a patron. Thank You.
I've watched at least a dozen videos about trellises - many of them quite elaborate, and expensive. I just have to say WOW! Most of what you showed in this short video will accomplish everything that all the fancy trellis systems do for a fraction of the price and I already have most of it laying around. Thank you.
Agreed. Thank you. Straight and to the point. Those modular trellises look amazing, but I have zero dollars and have to use what I have. Would chicken wire (1") work for the cucumber trellis?
I just use a simple wooden A-frame and concrete mesh(5-6inch holes) for my cucumbers. I like it because it just folds up and goes behind the shed when the season is over.
My wife sent me this one after I had her watch your tiller video. I like you ideas, and we are going to incorporate some of them in our garden. Love your channel!
I am a beginner, and working a community garden plot for the second year. This year I am planning things out as much as possible on a budget. For the last few days I have been trying to figure out the best method(s). Also having plants, some vining, on my small apartment patio. You would not believe how much this helped ❤!!
LOVED this video! I've been surfing for a couple of hours for a video that explained trellises and getting no where. I needed to understand what kind of trellis for what type of plants. I just put the soil into my first ever 8' x 4' above the ground garden and I have seeds in a seed-growing container that have sprouted but after tirelessly tilling, getting all the new dirt into the raised garden, I suddenly realized there's a science to WHERE you plant WHAT in the garden based on how each vegetable grows! This video helped SO MUCH. Right now, I'm starting with Cantaloupe, Cucumbers, Cherry Tomatoes, Sugar Snap Pease, Zucchini, Dill, Parsley/Basil and trying to figure out 1) if I have enough space in this 8' x 4' garden and 2) Where to place them so they all get sun and 3) which vine and which don't. OMG Gardening is complex for a newbie! But it's also so therapeutic. Definitely going to check out your other videos and you and your wife's website on the items you sell (soap, etc.). Thank you thank you!
Check out the square foot gardening method- super helpful! There are also some nice planting square foot grids that show you where and how to plant seeds (think it's like $30 on amazon).
Loved this and the creative transitions as well! I was already dreading building a trellis with wood bars, but found so many more cheap and effective ideas instead, thank you! Happy growing☺️
Glad I came across this video as I am trying to grow green beans and wasn't sure if I would need a trellis and if so what kind. Again thank you so much for all you do. Have a blessed day.
It's early May here in N. Carolina and my tomato plants have already outgrown their tomato cages. So I'm like, now what? I guess I'll just stick a couple of stakes in and hope for the best.
Perfect timing! I was about to start making some designs for my own garden area. Container grow bags on pallets. I knew I was going to have to do something but unsure what, thanks!
Can you tell me why you use squares for your zucchini? I want to try trellising my zucchinis this year so I'm just trying to get all of the info I can :) great video!
Got the song ''Biscuits N' Gravy'' by Apalachee Don stuck in my ear now!! Look it up, you'll understand! This is a perfect video to show that you do not need some $500 trellis design just to grow your veggies on. Yes, even I can build these!!
Awesome video! Great looking garden to boot! I use cattle panels (cut to the size I need) & t-post as well as some of your ideas like the round tomato cages for my peppers.
Really like your simple cinder block raised bed plots. We don't have the room in our back for those so we cram a lot into a 12x20 garden plot and deal with central North Carolina clay soil. I have struggled with good trellis designs over the years and you have given me some great ideas to look at for next year. Parts of my garden this year are too grown to implement some of these this year, but I will definitely plan our garden better for next year. Thanks for sharing!
Tomato stakes aren't tall enough for the tomatoes I grow, unfortunately. The vines were SO crazy long this past year, and ridiculously productive. It was a blessing, but keeping them from hanging down and breaking was a daily struggle.
Hi. Have you ever tried taking off all the suckers and leaving just the main stem? I'm going to try that next year. I have two trellises joined overhead with the same type of fencing. Going to tie a string from there down to the base of the tomato plants and tie the stem to it as it grows. I watched Beautee in the Garden hope I spelled it right. She had quite haul of tomatoes.
Thank you. I'd love to see a layout of your 1 Acre. I have 1 Acre with house. So about 1/2 acre back yard. Also has septic sprinkler field in back yard. Maybe leaves 2/3+ Acre. Thanks for the list and I love your camera transitions.

We use cattle panels and tee posts not cheap but last forever
I am going to try the T posts and cinder blocks and wire mesh fencing panels. Thanks for the video. I never thought to use cinder blocks.
Our pleasure! :) We still use the blocks for garden beds to this day and like them.

I live in nc too. I’ve had terrible luck with the clay soil so I switched to raised bed gardening and I’ll never go back
We have clay soil also, we use raised garden beds for this reason. That soil is so frustrating!
I like cattle panel trellis
Great video. Thanks for sharing.
Our pleasure!
Some good options. I like the cattle panels they can be used in so many ways and are strong enough to last a while
Very good vid man
Thanks, this was really helpful! (even though I only have a tiny garden, I can still fit some veg in).
Glad it was helpful!
wish i would of found this sooner...
Thanks buddy, very helpful!!

Same I have to top them off around 5 feet or else I won't be able to reach them anymore lol
I like it. Good video, and ideas. Thanks for posting.
