Jonny Evans in the background who's still putting a shift in, fair play
Been surprised with how well he’s performing
More of a state how bad United are
If ‘putting a shift in’ is all you have to do to be good enough then I’ll play for United
Tough as nails typical northern Ireland man lol.
Should never have been sold way back then, but he's past his best now. Had a few good games this season though.
that "AIG" kit was something else.
Legend
He could have won 10 if he played more games in 07/08 and 10/11
He looks older here than he does today
Cant believe the baby wasnt interviewed .......thats ridiculous.......baby!!
Ridiculously underrated player, too modest
Couldn't play today nowere near trent
He'd be a centre back today
@@JoshGraham-l4bTrent is a poor defender though, midfield material
@freeandrewtate886 poor defender so was nevile then just watched video of him getting ripped but one black right and scouse two most hated things so People lie

Winning the league and looking forward to a Champions League final as defending European champions. Feels a lifetime ago.
That Gary Neville is a legend in my book, hopefully he becomes a pundit for Sky Sports!
😂
@@samiul01 He is arguably the best RB the premier league has ever seen and realistically at worst he is 3rd.
@@click8708💀💀💀
Don't think he will make it as a pundit
I predict he and Carra will have a love story bromance
😂😂😂
he looks healthier these days with a bit of weight on
he is hardly healther now than he was as a footballer..
@@ACGWander" looks" healthier
I'm like that. If I get lean enough that my abs are showing my face looks really hollowed out like I'm ill.
Footballers are incredibly fit; most aren't healthy
Someone send this clip to Gabby Agbonlahor to show him what a successful career looks like 😂
Nah... "Gobby" will say he still scored against GNev
😂
I’m a Villa fan and Gabby is just clueless as to what it takes to be a winner.
It’s more about determination and passion than talent
@@SuperGoatGazerwell said. Hence Micah Richards being a person 👍 as a Villa fan I’m sure you agree with this lol
Hey Gabby Agbonlahor, notice the video title. Last premier league title..how many did Gabby win I wonder
What's your beef with Gabs lad?
@@crichton66 Gabs thinks G Neville was shite, basically.
@@crichton66 I believe he also thought Vidic was overrated. To paraphrase, I believe he said he never struggled taking the ball past him or something to that effect.
@@hnnsygabs was probably one of those players who went home and thought I played great against man united and then goes missing for the next 5 games small time mentality.
Just get down the tunnel
Great lad, love the fact that he acknowledged Federico Macheda
For everyone in the comments asking. Neville played 3 games during the 2011 season before retiring on Feb 2nd. Wouldn’t have played near enough games to win another league title that season.
Yep can’t believe he did that, coulda waited until the end of the season
@@mattholt2451 because he knew he was finished.
@@89kilemal he could’ve sat on the bench and made late appearances till end of season
@@mattholt2451 Maybe but what for if they didn't win
@@89kilemal They did win mate
Didnt he win the 2010/11 season medal as his last?.
Played only 3 games that season. Until 2011-2012 you had to make 10 appearances to earn a medal. After that 5 appearances are required to receive the medal
People don’t give him the credit he deserves cos of the shite he talks but he really was a top player
He talks the most sense out of pretty much any pundit.
@@sammyhill69Carragher
He knows he was an ok player but no way near underrated or Great.. he is fairy rated at his level an excellent ok player just like Nacho at Madrid or Lucas Vazquez they are not SUPER great players but they do their part/job..

Overrated player who played for a great team. Like roy keane said, he was the only right back at the club. 🤣
Good thing they rested players for that Barcelona match!😆
He's an absolutely brilliant commentator and pundit, and was a solid team player.
Much more than a solid player. He’s comfortably the best right back the prem and England has seen
@@24sumodefinitely not the best right back more like the only right back, couldn’t win in the Euro or World Cup definitely not world class
@@CEO786 He was absolutely world class. Your think a right back can carry his team to a World Cup? loooool what?
@@CEO786ok city fan😊
@@24sumohe was an average player. He had world class attitude. He played in a time where there wasnt much competition in that position and that position wasn't really used as well as it is today.
Kyle walker is the best English right back England has seen. I'm not a city fan either when I say this. But no one is taking Neville instead of walker. Neville has a case of being England's 2nd or 3rd best right back.
Wait Macheda didnt get a medal that season? Thats so sad man he literally handed them the league with the wonder goal that season
8 prem titles he won that should be illegal 😂😂 im a gooner and hated United with a passion broke my heart so many times 😂😂 have to give credit tho waht a team and fergie is the GOAT please dont mention pep to me hes had an open cheque book at every club hes been at

He’s better than people remember him being.
Did he not win the 2011 title? He retired half way through?
Yeah he retired before the end of the 2010/11 season
Only made 3 appearances, not enough for a medal
@@manutdrule09 He got so embarrassed in his last game vs West Brom in January, that's what forced him to retire
Very underestimated as a right back

HAPPY BIRTHDAY LEGEND
Proper red, committed and fought for the shirt. Never the most talented but always dependable
Gary Neville had the humility to know he wasn't good enough anymore and packed it in around this time. Today is totally different where we are stuck having to field and pay huge fortunes to players like Casemiro. If we can all see his legs are gone then why can't he? This is the difference between Gary Neville and Casemiro.
Back when Gary Neville was playing he faced almost no criticism whatsoever from the fans and there's a reason for that. He was a very consistent player and a brilliant defender, but not only that, he used to get down the wing and cross it in and his crosses were dangerous. Imagine Trent Alexander Arnold then add 15lb or 20lb more strength and far better defensive capabilities and you have Gary Neville. What I mean is, Neville played in a time where players HAD TO defend. These days the back line is pressing so high up (like with Liverpool and all credit to them for playing that way) the defenders, at least on the 2 wings, don't really need to defend much, so people like Trent at Liverpool have it a lot easier, he doesn't get exposed or have to be strong, like Neville did week in, week out, along with attacking too. Neville is in another league entirely to people like Trent.
In todays game he would easily be a £60M+ defender. He was solid and all the playing down he does about himself just shows what sort of ego he has, a humble one. He is certainly a Man United legend and played so many games for us, never putting a foot wrong. The model player.
I wonder what happened to him would have made a decent pundit
He is a pundit

In the 2010/11 season Manchester United won the Premier League
That’s a fact
Gary's pundit friends like to joke about him not being on the same level as them or having the same importance as them.
He himself is humble and doesn't consider himself to be a "great player" by any stretch of the imagination, and probably downplays his own role in that Manchester United team.
And I think that just goes to show what a character he is and what he provided to that United team, because he was there for the entire period where they were at their best. We all know Ferguson could have swapped him, but he didn't. Because I believe Gary had unwavering loyalty to Fergie and United and would probably play any role given to him, to help the team.
Great asset for Man United at the time and a great sportsman, in my opinion. And for what it's worth, I am an Arsenal fan.
