Am I the only one who gets goosebumps when the lights pop on near the nacelles and around the bridge/saucer sections of the ship? thumbs if you agree ;)
Right on the money! I love the combination of the basic “workhorse” design of the TOS Enterprise, along with the added Art Deco additions of the Constitution Refit. I also very much agree with the “Mr. Scott’s Guide to The Enterprise” movie-era Tech Manual, which posits the Connie Refit was such a drastic change to the ship’s design that an overall change of designation to the “Enterprise Class” was a needed method to separate between original Constition class, Constitution Refits (as well as honoring the original Enterprise Captains of April, Pike & Kirk, her crews, and successful 5-Year Mission) and Original Refit Builds which I’m sure happened after the success of the Connie Refits into virtually a new, modern class of ship as well as must be cheaper/faster to build a Refit-style from the ground up than modifying a much older Constitution-class into a Refit-style/“Enterprise-class” (and is part of my personal “head canon”).
It also has blue highlights which the movie version does not. Besides, as long as he's not trying to sell it and just made it for personal enjoyment, I don't think they can stop him from making screen-accurate models.
Holy shoot, man! Unbelievable! What do you do for a living? Something related to model building or construction? Or is this just the result of an incredible secondary talent? Either way, kudos, sir! (and btw, what's up with the 18 haters that clicked "dislike"? idiots...)

Wow.. absolutely FANTASTIC job. My father used to build RC boats from scratch, so I can imagine how much painstaking work, detail, effort and cost went into this.. amazing job. It could Easily be used for a Star Trek movie. It's a work of art and should be in a museum!

Best homemade model I've seen. This looks so stunning. An exact replica as if you brought it home from the set. Well done! Amazing detail work on the lights and interior views!!!
I made a CGI version of this model, and I thought that was painstaking to get right. Building this ship physically, and from scratch, takes it to a whole other level. Amazing work bro and an incredible item to have sitting in your man cave :)
brilliant job, thanks for sharing! It's funny, when I was a kid in the 90s I thought the original Enterprise looked lame compared to TNG/Voyager, but now as an adult I think the orginal Enerprise is the most beautiful ship ever seen on screen
The TOS Enterprise had a tough rugged look to denote the utilitarian design of early space exploration. As Starfleet advanced, it appears as if they began to add elegance to their designs and it shows!
Outstanding dedication to your hobbies turns out fantastic results. Truly a work of art. I hope a museum would like to put that on display. Even the Smithsonian
Damn with the lighting this looks just like the film model! I’m incredibly impressed and slightly jealous. If i had skill and the room to build something of this quality i would. I swear, with a model of the USS Reliant you could totally shoot the battle scenes from wrath of khan. Great job man!
That is awesome, obviously your not going t sell it after all the hard work you've put into it. I think with your talent you should create your own ships and get together with someone who does screen plays and make a space odyssey movie. Competition for Star Trek.

This is the motion picture Enterprise. It had a LOT of blue. The paint job is exact based on many reference photos. On screen you don't see them because it was shot in low light.
When I first saw this video I Have to say it was awesome how this guy built this model to exact design specs of the Constitution Class U.S.S. ENTERPRISE NCC-1701-A as it was seen in the last 2 Star Trek films featuring the original cast.
I even saw them do something like that in a video I saw called 'Bring Kirk Back' where they brought the Constitution Refit Class U.S.S. Enterprise NCC-1701-A out of the fleet museum and gave her an extensive Refit upgrading her systems including her weapons like her phaser giving her phasers similar to the Lakota and Quantum Torpedoes and a sickbay similar to the Intrepid Class with an E.M.H. that was like Voyagers and the Enterprise E until they changed it to be like the late Dr. McCoy and they showed those new weapons of the Enterprise A being used at the end of the video in a battle against the Suliban man now that was a great video great job to the guys who made it.
When i first saw your ship i was excited and i loved how you did a fine job on it , Me i have a small one i haven't it together i'm not good with models i hope to someday get it together thank you
I've seen episodes of Star Trek the Next Generation and DS9 where they show the Excelsior Class and the Miranda Class Starships still with the old phaser turrets but they fire phaser beams like the phaser strips of ships like the Galaxy,Ambassador and Prometheus Class like the Battle between the Defiant and the Lakota.
Did anyone else know that Enterprise-A was only used in Star Trek movies 4-6? I thought after the refit in Star Trek: The Motion Picture it was named Enterprise A.
Man I can't believe that the last time we ever saw the recreation deck on the Enterprise was in only 2 scenes from Star Trek The Motion Picture the first scene was when Kirk showed the crew the images of the destruction of the 3 Klingon K'Tinga Class warships by the V'Ger cloud and when they watched in horror the destruction of the Epsilon 9 station and the second time was when Decker was showing the probe in the form of Navigator Lieutenant Ilia around the ship and they were on the recreation deck where Decker showed her pictures of past ships called Enterprise and that was the last and only time we ever saw the recreation deck.
I saw this 2 part video called Star Trek Truth or Myth on the history of the Constitution Refit Class how it started originally with not the U.S.S. Enterprise but one of her sister ships the U.S.S. Excalibur that was actually the first to be fitted with the vertical warp core and from what I saw in the video she was made to look like the Phase 2 Enterprise but when the Enterprise was chosen for the full refit like what we saw in the movie her hull was made with a new alloy that we now know as TriTanium which is apparently stronger than whatever alloy was used in the ships original construction and that it was said the Miranda class was also coming into service at the same time and was being outfitted with the same technologies as the Constitution Refit Class including a shorter version of the vertical warp core.
Awesome model, gotta say I love the lines of the Enterprise A ... I still think it's the best of all of them. When are you going to make the 1/1 scale,
where did you get that version of the "The Enterprise" soundtrack? Its not the official one. excellent choice of music selections for a very well done model.
Man it would be awesome if one day we developed the technology to build ships like the ones seen in Star Trek or maybe even Star Wars now that would be a great historical moment in human history.
Who would give e a thumbs down on something like this. It goes to show the jealousy of some people. You have to be a genius to even attempt something like this. I wouldn't know here to start. I can appreciate this effort because I'm a Trekkie since 1966 and I know the beauty of the Paramount studio models and to make a 6 foot studio replica is quite an accomplishment. I can barely handle the ones that come out of the box and look at this guys effort. These talents are way above the average person so consider yourself a genius cause I have no other explanation for it!
Another thing about this video was the nice touch playing the music score as the crew was preparing the Enterprise for launch to starting up the running lights to playing the music as they awakened this sleeping giant for her return to sailing the cosmic waves of space was a great tribute to a great starship and her crew.
probably one of the most technically accurate models ive ever seen outside of the studio model. Well done. The detail on the shuttlebay and recreation decks is beyond outstanding.
How about putting it in front of a 65 in tv with a computer hooked up to it, then run the starfield screen saver. It would literally look out of this world.
The one part of this video I liked was the recreation of the rec deck from the first movie and that image of the Enterprise in front of the moon nice job.
The Enterprise-A was my favorite until the E came along. I love to see a slight refit of the constitution class in the TNG era in which they make both sides of the nacelles glow blue, and make the black strips and dots near the front of the nacelles glow red. I'd also add an updated phaser strip circling the saucer section, while still keeping the old style turrets.
Thanks everyone for the kind words!
When you shot the clip of the running lights, I really thought you used the movie version.
Well done..
