Proof that there is no perfection, even in paradise. For sure, everyone will have different experiences based on their own must have/must do lists, but it is great that you took the time out to share your pros and cons with us 😊
You should! Indonesia is planning to create a digital nomad visa hopefully the bill passes and we can all move to Bali for up to 5 years. 🙌🏽 It's still in the works so let's hope so 🙏☺️
@@christinaclesca1384 excellent, if only that Ralph Mouth guy could make videos as well as you do. If you ever run into on the island please help him out.
Very similar to Vietnam in many ways. Lockdown just ended here in Saigon which I am very thankful for. But omg you can really feel the difference in the noise level. One of the pros of lockdown was no noise except an army of 1 million frogs a night. Now you have construction, traffic, renovations, karaoke... lol. Trying to find a good pear of ear plugs. Might move to Bali next year. Still stuck on either Thailand or Bali.
Oh wow 😮 i remember the "ban bao" sound too lol but yeah Bali is nice. I only visited Thailand so i need longer time to experience it but the food was very good 👍
Christina! I miss yoooooou! XOXOXO I love your video! I agree on everything you said. I think the hardest thing for me when I lived in Bali was the lack of privacy. I was up in Amed, so it wasn't as busy; but everywhere I went, it felt like there were always people watching me - many times, people would even follow me! I missed that feeling of anonymity. Ultimately, more pros than there were cons! I miss the magical energy and chill vibe the most!
Yes, you hit the nail on the head with all of them. All the pros and cons are exactly that. I feel the worse for me was the 100,000 IRD. I absolutely hated having so MANY paper bills when paying rent. Plus, the limit you can take out of an ATM was 2.5-3 million IRD. That just irks me because my bank charges for each withdrawal taken out.
It’s quite funny when you mentioned about the road, because I found the road in Bali is pleasant for me. Maybe because I live in Jakarta...🤷🏻♀️😁 Well dont take shortcut then...because the main road is okay
Bali is so many things to so many different people. However, I believe the truly unique aspect of Bali is it's culture. Sure it has nice beaches, great nightclubs, resorts and restaurants, but the most unique and visit worthy aspect is Balinese culture. The dances, music, village traditions, wet agriculture, story-telling still thrive in an authentic setting. Unlike Cambodia's Angkor Wat, Peru's Macchu Picchu, Burma's Bagan and Java's Borobudur or Egypt's Pyramids, the Balinese culture that created the rich architecture is still alive. Whereas the Incas, Khmers, Burmese and Javanese are not 'living' in the culture that created all those architectural wonders, the Balinese are. From an anthropologist's point of view: if you wanted to see the peak of a prosperous ancient civilisation, like the Egyptians, the Maya or the Mesopotamians, it's not possible anymore. Bali is one of the last places in the world where it is possible.
A lot of these cons are related to living in Canggu, more of the exception than the rule to "Bali"- especially during lockdown Id think! Have you experience Canggu prior to the Pandemic, it's crazy! Great channel, excited to see how your opinion changes of Bali in gen real if you guys decide to move out of Canggu in the future! Be well!
Hi Josh, 👋🏽Yeah i realized it is very focused on living in the expat area 😂however with the pandemic, when we visited many places after lockdown there just wasn't enough activities so that is why we choose to stay here for now. However we plan to visit all over Bali 👌🏽
"pros and cons" adalah "equalibrium" dalam hidup. Sering dalam "cons" adalah kesusahan. Sering dalam "pros" akan membosankan. Menikmati pros dan cons dalam ukuran yang seimbang justru membuat hidup menjadi lebih "hidup"
Hi Tamie, well there are lots of dogs but i think everything else about Bali can make you love it. This is the reality about moving abroad and traveling. You will always have something that you don't like but can tolerate and things you will love. It's all about weighing the pros and cons. Overall, i still would live here and am loving more and more 🙏🙌🏽
Hi Georgiana, 👋 for privacy reasons I'm not sharing the name of my villa. Hope you understand but here is a video that can help you find villas and apartments when you come to Bali 🙌👇🏾 ua-cam.com/video/wbVqVak_wmA/v-deo.html
Thanks I am excited to try those new places however even if there are cons in Bali it doesn't mean I want to leave. I know there is not perfection so wherever i go there will be somethings i like and some i don’t. That is life lol 😆

Yeah I know it will be different for everyone but I wanted to clarify that. Thanks for watching 🙌🙏
Lol 🤣 I live in Winter Park Florida thinking of taking the plunge!!!!

Nice video Christina!
Thanks Rodney 🙏👌
Thanks for information
Anytime my friend 👌🙏
Do you have a video about the living cost in depth? Like the type of co-living villas?
I don't but my husband Ralph made an in depth video about our cost of living. Maybe this would help ua-cam.com/video/NyvzXetlZO0/v-deo.html
@@christinaclesca1384 Wow you both are a UA-camr, that's awesome, I just signed up for his channel as well, thank you for the reference!

I wish it was that easy but taking the shortcut is inevitable if you live in Canggu. I understand your perspective coming from Jakarta 😉
Agree ☺️

Saya setuju.👌
Great video, Christina! Just want to get a general idea ... What is the rent per month you pay at your villa?
Thanks Yanni I pay about $350 per month
Great video. Love from Jakarta
Thank you! 🙏❤️
I don't like dogs I plan to come to Bali would that be a problem for me

Hey I am moving to Bali soon as a solo traveller and I love the sound of the shared villa you stayed in! Can you please send me the link to villa? Xxx

Haha I soooo know the gecko 🦎 sound 🤣
I know right 😅 I am form the Caribbean and the lizards there are not loud at all🤣 only in Bali
It's not bug sound but tokek sound.
Thanks I mean gecko sound
That's because Bali has too many tourists. Try other places in Indonesia like lombok or toba lake
