They are on the rebound 👍 . The companies have found ways around the Chinese laws by establishing themselves in Singapore and still teaching Chinese kids. I think it's great to have a company while going independent so you can take your time to build your private business

I have a follow up question if you have a chance - so my wife teaches online (reading comprehension) and would like to build her private business, but her company doesn't allow her to exchange info with students (I imagine in part so teachers don't poach students away). How would someone like her extend her teaching relationship with those students, or branch out and find new students? Thank you!

@@soorinrinn That is wonderful. How are you currently learning English? I ask because you may be able to offer basic beginners level classes to students in Malaysia and work your way up. However to work privately or for a company you MUST be fluent in English.

Hi Charelle 👋 yes, there is a schedule to follow. The course is organized in sets of lessons and quizzes. If you pass all the quizzes you will get your digital TEFL certificate that you can download and print out. It's pretty simple and straight to the point. Hope this helps 👍

Remember that a TEFL certificate is essential for teaching ESL online so anyone can acquire it without restrictions. It is like getting a diplomat at an entry level.
