Sorry, Russia didn't stop the US in Syria. Syria came about because of Obama and Hillary. When Trump won he had already made the decision to end the caliphate and get out as quickly as possible. Russia backed off after Trump allowed the US military to kick the crap out of a Russian effort to attack and inflict casualties on a small contingent of US soldiers along with Kurd allies.
