In the remote corners of Portugal, we stumbled upon an intriguing abandoned palace steeped in history. Erected during the beginning of the 18th century, this regal residence once sheltered a noble Portuguese family, known throughout the town for their boundless lands and benevolence. The family's patriarch, Joao, and his spouse once nurtured their four prodigious offspring within these opulent walls.
Yet, in 2007, the palace's grandeur faded into desolation as the descendants diverged on their life paths, forsaking their ancestral abode. Despite its historical eminence, the palace bears silent witness to the family's dispersion.
Today, we invite you to embark with us on an odyssey through this time-honored relic, unveiling the hidden narratives and lingering echoes that endure within its stately chambers. As we traverse these hallowed corridors, the past whispers its secrets, revealing a tapestry of lives once intertwined with opulence and charity.

Hey dear Maureno and Remon, What an exceptional explore in that absolutely amazing Portuguese palace! Thank you for sharing
that adventure with us viewers. - This historic location was literally filled with antiques and beautiful original furniture. So very
fascinating and interesting to see! - Once more I found it a pure pleasure to listen to your introduction. You have such an advanced
and educated choice of words in your formulations, that I can only say: Respect bro!
I hope you are happy, well and healthy, my friend, and so I wish you from my deepest heart all the best, peace and kindest regards.
I love how this place was preserved in time. It looks like a place you would see in the movies
Fantastic guys xx
Look up Joao de Castro Knight Templar. You opened a book that had the de Castro name. It could have been the family history. He was active in the 1500's.
Yes I saw their coat of arms hanging up!
The coat of arms with all the dots is the Castro family. Found on wikipedia.
The one with red field and white cross is Periera.

How are you guys always keep finding such treasures? Absolutely incredible again!
This is the most intact abandon home of it's age I have ever seen. Truly a treasure. Your film should be a documentary!
Hello Maureno and Remon! Amazing exploration, Mansion and video for today. Absolutely time capsule. Only sad of the decayed conditions will to be continue in the future ❤😊🤗👍
The decorative muti-colored rock table top @39:41 is "The upper Oxfordian (lateJurassic) Arrábida Breccia is a unique lithological type in Portugal and probably in the world because it was formed through several particular geological influences acting simultaneously. The rock is a conglomerate composed of carbonate pebbles of different colours, cemented by a red, ferruginous, clayey carbonate. It is the expression of a fossilized a karst that marks one of the major unconformities of the Lusitanian Basin, which was associated with the early stages of the opening of the North Atlantic." according to UNESCO Geology Paper. Beautiful!! Great Explore, thanks!
*My favorite channel this one. I love all, they videos most because they are not just videos, they are 24K Gold, videos because their value, in descriptions... and it seem you guys go deeper and investigate why, a house was left. Nowdays everybody can do videos but not all, with a strong" roots-foundation like you guys, do. And that is well appreciate it because your videos are not just any video" You take the time to know about the past to compare the present of every property , and because the way you explain... and, obvs, Portugal is like a cozy country that make us, feel like you we are part of the country. Make us, feel like home.* ❤❤❤
It is so dismaying to see such a beautiful home fall into such disrepair.
A sad beautiful Castle.....Its a shame that The Government cant fix it up as a musuem or event hotel. so many pictures anf personal stuff left behind...Now only memories and a crumbling ruin of a Historical building. Well filmed and stories told....Great video....❤
It’s not government but privately owned; it isn’t a “crumbling ruin”…
Incredible journey through a beautiful old palace. I just love watching you exploring what I would never get to see.
Thank you so much for your appreciation and lovely comment! Many more beautiful places to come in the future. Keep an eye out on the channel :)
Amazing place. So very historic. A little frightening with holes throughout, but a real treasure. I loved all the chairs with leather. There were several different patterns embossed in the leather. Just lovely!
I watched another explore this place. He hardly showed anything. So glad to see yours!!
Hello Hello!!! ❤🤴❤🤴
First of all, i wanna wish u a happy birthday my dear Mo! I hope this new chapter of yours will be filled with more amazing explores and adventures 🥳🥂🎂
Now let's get into this comment! This place is for real a museum 😳 I just loved everything. The furniture, the amazing ceilings, the colored stained glass, the medieval vibes, just everything!!! The entrance is something else... And my favorite two rooms in this castle are the kitchen and the main salon 😍 But you know what caught my eyes? The cute chairs with a heart on them 🥺 And what i loved the most in this video? That you wrote Ex with the feather ❤ Tbh i really love these old stuff, i wish we still use them nowadays! For real i like to put them and other antique thingies in my house as decoration ☺️ I wanted to see the place from the outside really bad, but i am glad you guys are keeping this place private. It was a really great and long adventure my boys! Glad i was able to explore such a unique castle through your third eye 😉 See you next time, bye! 🤗🤗🤗🤗
Hi Maureno and Remon! Interesting video. I noticed a chair in the upstairs bathroom is the same as the chairs pictured in the old photo in 37:54 where a man and woman are sitting in the foreground. That's an old chair indeed!!
This is beautiful. Great exploration, Maureno. ❤
Portuguese Templar descendants house it appears! Absolutely amazing..makes me want to fly over and come along!!
1:25:44 This item is a carbide lamp. It is/was primarily used by miners. We have several. Also the item you stated was for holding a game looked more like a travel desk. They were common in earlier times.
This place had so many fabulous things. The furniture was divine. Great find and excellent explanation. Thank for this adventure. Cheers.❤

Thank you so much!! ❤️
Hola maureano, hola Remon, greetings from Brazil 🇧🇷,good vídeo palace fantastic👍
Wow! I think this one is my favorite. Perhaps the place next door that's inhabited is "family" ? I just can't imagine people just walking away from these priceless treasures. Although, I hear that a lot of people walk away because the government inheritance taxes are so high and if the government takes anything they have to pay the descendants auction prices. It's sad really... a perpetual loss for all. Those blue barrels with the chains are food grade storage containers and probably have corn, wheat, hops etc for making "spirits" 🍾 because that was part of a "still" in the room where you found the newspaper on top of it.
I agree, this one was a museum! Thanks for taking us with you two! Blessings.
Maureno and Remon... wonderful explore!! Thank you for taking some of us with you to places we could never go! Lovely and amazing!❤🤠🤠🐕🐾🐾🥰
What magnificent ceilings they have. And all the colored glass. I really love colored and stained glass.
Happy weekend to all 😊 thanks for sharing your awesome videos ❤
This has many things that previous explores in Portugal have, but this person had taste everything is exquisite. The carvings are delicate, the porcelain is lovely and the collections are timeless. This would have been spectacular in its day.
This Castle is absolutely breathtaking. Thank you for sharing with us. Bless you.
Wow! What a beautiful historical home, love the kitchen, it’s my favourite, lot of space in the kitchen ,and high ceiling , feel like going back in time , I love the ceiling in the living room and dining room , many antique things around the house, beautiful place indeed, a lot of abandoned places in Portugal are incredible amazing to see , thank you for sharing

It was incredible beauty! Thank you for this cool excursion! 😇😇😇😇🤩🤩🤩🤩🧐🧐🧐🧐🥳🥳🥳🥳
What a fantastic exploration you took us on! Thank you!
Looks like Knights Templar crosses. The Knights Templar settled in Portugal in the 12th century to help the first Portuguese kings in the Christian Reconquest and to continue the Crusades.
I am leaning towards agreeing with you. I also believe it's some true ancient symbolism! Even deeper and older than the Templars
Let the folks at Oak Island know! 😂😂
Wow! This place should be restored to its natural historical beauty and then used as an Airbnb or a bed-and-breakfast. Wish I had the money to do so
thank you both for bring these videos I realy enjoyed this one
This was awesome, great job..alot of the stuff needs to be in a museum, for the temples.
Wow😮 I love this place!! Well done Maureno and Remon 🥰🥰

The antique furniture is ti die for❤❤❤❤ really stunning
Thank you for sharing a wonderful video, 😊❤ stay safe. Much love 😊😊
Loved this video. I haven’t seen anything like this one.
The long video did this place justice. I wish families could at least collect pictures and personal papers. Some of those antiques would be perfect in any home, but now they will crumble to dust with the rest of the place. It celebrated its family while it could. I'm sure it will take too much to restore and maintain now, sadly. - Sincerely, Mari Kay Whitney.
Absolutely Amazing! ❤️ Thank you guys! Much love from America. Stay safe and keep exploring. 🙏❤️🕊
What an amazing time capsule! Hey, I think the green stone you found at 57:49, could have been a copper nugget.
Great find thank you again😊

Wow guys i love that kitchen it is a master piece thru time! Again im speechless thru your eyes i love this Time capsule, i even love the decay it really tells the hole story how been left alone. I wanna thank you both for this one of a kind Time piece places it is jus like walking in a Museum . All the detail you showed i love it. Thanks again my friends love you both . Friend Barbara NWPFL. USA baby
Some clues makes me believe that there was a fire in a part of the house that causes a collapsing because of water damages. It would explain why they seems to leave fast leaving all behind.
Whatever, it’s an amazing find and explore ❣️
Maravilhoso! Esplendido!😘😘
This one is definitely in your top best list!
So sad to see everything lost to history 💔
Hi guys this explore was amazing to watch! Much love from Durham North East England 😊
Hello, Maureno and Remo, always keep safe❤
Hello I love this explore thank you for sharing . From 🇺🇸
That was an amazing explore nice one
The red crosses you keep finding look like Knights Templar crosses. Maybe the secret buried on Oak Island is in one of the books in these palaces. It seems like I have seen it in other properties you guys have shown us. That cross is all over Oak Island (off the coast of Canada). It truly is a small world.
