Who would be your ideal signing to cover Vicario? Don't forget to subscribe while you're here!

If good enough, I'd like us to give opportunities to one of the academy/backup goalkeepers. Such as Austin.

It would be interesting to see but just not sure whether any of them are up to the task…

That keeper from Espanyol looks good. I would go for him.

    Tough one :(
Not many options on the free transfer market, so might have to put trust in Foster until January window, love the guy's presence in the team but honestly, he has past his best, really is just a dependable backup who fills the homegrown quota that is not really suited to Ange's system, then the younger goalkeepers not up for it yet, Liverpool & Leicester will not let Premier rivals get their players, Garcia looks good but if possible to buy, perhaps would need guaranteed regular playing time to convince him to move, even when Vicario is back, so the only options would be buying from Championship & buy or loan from other leagues.
So, my pie in the sky, if Vicario will still be out by January, if it's possible we buy Nauer for 1 year contract 🤣 his contract is up next year & he's going to be 39 years old after March, so if Bayern decides to not renew his contract, at least we offer Bayern some cash to buy Nauer in January instead of him leaving on a free. Elite leader mindset, brave ball-playing sweeper keeper, vast experience & maybe he likes the idea of testing himself in the Premier League before he hangs his gloves, although salary would be huge but hey, if Levy thinks it's alright to pay Werner's salary, then no problem paying Nauer, plus it's only for 1 year until January 2026 & probably we can sell him in that window to MLS or Saudi while he still 39 years old that time 😂
Second pie in the sky, is de Gea. Contract ends next year as well, plus he is still good age, although unlike Nauer, not sure if his passing game is good enough for Ange but at least he knows the league. Not sure if he thinks it would be a downgrade joining us, you know, all that "It's just Tottenham lads" from Ferguson era.
Another one I just remembered, is Mathew Ryan, decent cover, ball-playing type goalkeeper, who knows Premier League & is Australian. Currently in Roma but think contract is up next year as well 🙃
Last one, Rui Patrício - contract at Atalanta expires next year, knows the Premier League 🤓
But I think Levy will not like the of signing any players he deemed as old & with low resale value, even though short term, so he'll be going to loan an out-of-favor goalkeeper, somewhere from Europe I think 😝

Caoimhin is good enough to be a starter in the league. If he was going to still be a backup, why would he drop down the league? He will only leave Liverpool to be nailed on No. 1 or back himself to beat Mamardashvili once Alison leaves.

Yeah it's a great point and one of the reasons why I think it would be a difficult deal to do!

I think Kelleher would be unlikely. First Choice Garcia for me, then James Trafford who would be homegrown too.

It is only a crisis in your weak mind. Fraser is the only choice. Support him. Don’t moan about him before he’s even played a game. Fraser is recovering from a serious injury. I’m sure Fraser will do his very best. He was the star player in his Celtic days against Barcelona. Lionel Messi thought he was one of the best keepers in the world at the time.

Fraser is not the answer mate. Big guy is as slow as a fridge!
      He has passed his prime

What a dilemma to have though, after a statement win and the opportunity to push on. This could be a substantial setback.

Vicario is not good enough for Spurs. Caoimhin Kelleher should be brought in as the number one. Bye bye Vicario.

Get over it, every team is afflicted with key injuries throughout the long Premier league season. The keeper position is the most crucial because midfielders, attackers, even defenders are routinely subbed out throughout the season. The exception is the goaltender position. Yes you have goaltenders changed, occasionally playing in cup matches and what not. Reality is we’ve had Foster since Lloris was a mainstay and spurs have cleared out the “deadwood” since that time. Dier, Royale, Tanganga, and Sanchez just to name a few!
