Great result.. needed that one. That was a 1st half performance to give a boost to morale and confidence ahead of a couple big matches over the next week.

It really does feel like next two games are very crucial for the season and Ange's position.... get back to winning ways vs Southampton and follow it up with a win vs Man U in the Carabao Cup suddenly things start to look a bit different with a bit of confidence coming back in the squad... right now that's looking a BIG IF, so fingers crossed.

The fact that Spurs are still in the mix to win 1-3 trophies gives me reason for optimism but it’s hard to believe this team could pull any off.

Tottenham Hotspur have to look at themselves and see what went wrong and analyse just that. Forster was outstanding, I don't think he's had a dismal performance as a keeper for a while. Here's how I see spurs: a circuit. We have Ange as the battery, trying to find ways to turn spurs on. Our new players, Lankshere Gray, Moore, Bergvalle, they're our light bulbs. When we switch them on, they perform. But with every circuit comes a switch. And our switches are Maddison and Sonny. And for reasons we need to exploit, those switches ARE ALWAYS OFF. We need to switch them on right now. Because at the moment, Kulusevski, Solanke, and Forster are providing too much voltage in our circuit that at some point it'll run out. Everyone has a job at Tottenham, and that's what they need to do.

Spurs are getting close to a breakout game, hopefully the turnaround starts this week.. a good finish to December can really get the season back on track on multiple fronts.. it's always darkest before things turn around, and it really feels like the current reaction is reaching it's top.

Bentancur looked shaky against Roma, but he will start for sure, with probably Dragusin and VDV/Gray at CB. I would like to see Spence start a game, either as RB, or even at CB with Dragusin (if they want to rest VDV), and move Gray in the middle with Bentancur and Bergvall. Rangers is really dangerous offensively, they have a lot of good forwards, but without Hagi and Danilo, I think Tottenham has the upper hand even if they are missing Romero, Davies or Vicario.

One of our biggest downfalls are set pieces. Defending them and attacking them! Most of these games we’ve lost would be won or at least drawn if we didn’t concede silly goals from corners. When we are pressing high and winning corners we never score from them. Look at arsenal and they score nearly every other game from a corner. Once we get a set piece coach in I think we’d look more stable and convincing but it’s so infuriating the way ange won’t change that

Yesterday I watched an awesome 48 minute vid about Ange. What a character Ange is. He is the exact kind of trainer/coach I would have wanted in my active years. I am 100% Ange all in. Sustained success is a marathon to create. When you're starting from where Spurs are, it's an ultra marathon. If Levy is even thinking about sacking Ange until the end of the 2025/26 season then the dog will return to its vomit.

Give him 4 years and re evaluate. Sacking a manager every 2 years obviously doesn't work.

Sacking Ange will be the kind of distraction that Levy uses to placate the fans. Our current situation is the result of 5 years pre-2022 of terrible planning and list building.

I want Ange to succeed. I detest our hard core away fans abusing our Manager, but can understand their/our anger and frustration. I am not asking Ange to change his way of playing, but every football match is different and you have to be be adaptable. Against Roma we were 2-1 up and had 5 minutes to play of injury time. You are not changing your ideals by saying in these last 5 minutes just clear the ball, see the game out, slow the game down and break up the play, but Ange doesn’t do this. Also set pieces, attacking and defending are crucial a part of modern football. He got it exactly right against Man.City, the defence played a little deeper and defended properly, our one touch passing was spot on, our pace and pressing too and our finishing was clinical, but does he stick with that formula…no. Our central defenders are all out with hamstring injuries because they have to sprint back half the length of the pitch to cover. Most importantly our attitude and mentality against the mid/lower league clubs is a massive problem. Ange always says it’s down to me to fix it, but I can’t see any evidence of that happening. Against Leicester and Newcastle we played well and lost, now we are not playing well. I want to be entertained but first and foremost I want effort from our players and I want us to win. I hope he can turn this around when all the players are fit again and we get some quality ones in the January window, but once the home Fans start turning on Levy then Ange will be gone and he will have nobody to blame but himself and his stubbornness not to tweak/adjust/ adapt. The fact the squad is not set up to play a high intensity game across multiple competitions, is the very reason Ange needs to compromise on his system. We need to be more pragmatic and be harder to beat, whilst saving energy, at least until the injured players start coming back. Either way we should see the season out and see where we’re at then.
