You should try reacting to Lazy Purple's "How It Feels To Play" series. It'll give you a better idea how to play 8/9 classes, and are genuinely fun to watch. There are also Krunkidile's Team Service Announcements, they're silly short animations with tips in the description on how to play the game.

Oh and he does traditional TF2 game play which he tries to do stupid gimmicks like pacifist spy who is only allowed to place sappers on buildings and can not kill or even attack enemies
Honestly, even though, yeah, it's your first time playing, ain't no one going to be an expert immediately, but I noticed how much better you were getting as Demo after just a few PvP games. I'm sure the more you play, the better you'd get, and sooner or later, you'll be using stickies much more too. Stickies are the true foundation for Demoman.
You guys are mean! You let the poor little rabbit spend so much time without getting her to change some of the simplest settings! It's a shame that I wasn't present for this stream. First thing I woulda done is gotten you to turn the hitsounds on. The numbers are serviceable but I know you would have INSTANTLY stopped shooting the übered players once you noticed your bullets stopped making funny dings when hitting the shiny dentist.
Finally managed to watch this one! Since everyone in the comments is giving tips, I will too, but my tips shall be unique and stunningly useless! 1. You can press 'T' when facing a surface to spray the surface. In most servers this is disabled (I mean it's the internet, of course it's full of booba) but there are some servers where you can see other peoples' sprays. There were a lot of funny sprays back when I was big into the game 2. If you go to the server selection menu from the main menu you get to pick which server you want. Most of them are regular servers operated by either valve or large clans, but there's also a lot of variant games and community-designed maps in there. For example, one I was really into way back when was a modified version of the Payload gametype which was changed to be a balloon race. You and your team would load onto a sort of zepplin skyboat thing, the enemy would do theirs, and you would shoot at each other as the payloads raced around a track, your balloons speed was determined by how many players were alive on the balloon, it was a lot of fun! 3. TF2 culture is rich and complicated, but one of the more simple rules of conduct is that, prior to the match, taunting back when taunted by another player is good manners. :) There are also group taunts (I think those are denoted by the handshake speech bubble you might've noticed above the dancing guys at spawn) that you can join by doing any taunt while near to and looking at someone doing the group taunt. For example you can do a conga line, a high five, stuff like that. Sometimes people will be peaceful and just stand around taunting - it's considered polite to spare these guys. And finally, some taunts can kill enemy players, like Heavy's "POW!" taunt, or Demoman's groin-flashing "KA-BOOOOOM!". As you might expect, getting a taunt-kill is a pretty proud moment for any player. 4. Wear a hat. If you are unhatted, you are naked, newborn as they come and easy prey for wolves in the dark. Without a hat, you shall see no respect, for you are big baby. It's absolutely imperative you wear a hat immediately, the minute you receive one. In fact, wear two, or three, or even four! The more hats adorning your shameful unhat-like figure, the more meaningful and adult you are. Wear hats on your head, your hands, your feet, and of course, your hat. (note: some hats are noob hats, but they're still less noobish than no hat at all)
Sometimes it's funny from nicknames that people invent themselves in this game. For example, in the last rounds Chip, Dale and Gadget played against you, just nicknames were written in Russian ("Чип", "Дэйл" и "Гаечка" respectively).
Literally was screaming (not really) through the entire video for her to just use the 1, 2, 3 buttons to switch weapons easier than scroll wheel. Also, I recommend watching Soundsmith to understand certain classes weapons to know how some can function. Jontohil2 is for if you want to get good as spy and how to deal with spies with his Spy Psychology series, but that's only if you just want tips on how to deal with spy and how they may think

If Tori does read UA-cam comments: - Demoman's strength lies in his secondary weapon, the Stickybomb Launcher. Despite it being a secondary, it should be treated as a primary weapon since it's just as strong if not stronger than the Grenade Launcher. You can plant multiple bombs in the same spot or area to create a Sticky Trap, which can deal a lot of damage if done right. - If you see a character and a Medic duo ominously glowing bright red/blue, that means they are invincible thanks to to the Medic's Ubercharge. Medic's healing comes in several flavours, but for now the default one gives you invincibility. Despite this, knockback still applies to them, so something like a Pyro's Airblast (M2) can push them back and make them waste their Ubercharge.
Of course I read comments! - I was told by chat to use the sticky bombs more and sometimes they actually would also give ideas on when to use them! It still takes time for me to fully understand their potential and correct way to use. It will take some time but one day I shall learn the secrets! - I have realized it a bit later into the stream but good to know that knockback still applies! Do my bombs create knockback?
@@Torineesan Yep. In fact, any form of damage can cause knockback, with explosions by default being the best. There's also Scout's Force-A-Nature (a sawed-off double-barrel shotgun), the aforementioned airblast and to a lesser extent, Heavy's miniguns and Engineer's Sentries. Just a lil bit more: - If you want to check if someone is a Spy, walk into them. If you collide, that's a Spy. Another way is to damage them, as friendly fire does not apply to your teammates. Pyro is the best class to Spycheck, where by puffing fire everywhere, a Spy could be lit on fire even while invisible or disguised and reveal himself. - "Demopan" refers to a Demoknight armed with a Frying Pan. The Frying Pan is infamous for having nigh-guaranteed hits despite sharing the same stats as the other basic melee weapons. Demopan specifically is a pirate Demoman who wants to trade a Stout Shako hat for 2 Refined Metal. Imagine minding your own business when all of a sudden you hear a loud battlecry from the side and get rekted with a loud CLANG! That is how a Demopan do. - Speaking of Demoknights, they are not meant to be played like a Reinhardt. Instead, they are meant to be played like a Genji sort of, flanking around enemy lines and charging at people when they least expect it. One weapon in particular, the Eyelander, is a sword that reduces your HP by 25 in exchange for gaining HP and Movement Speed with every "Heads" (kills) you collect. At 5 Heads, you outrun the scout and have more HP than Soldier, the second tankiest class in the game.
A few things about the Sticky Bomb Launcher. If you hold down the fire button the gun will charge up and launch the sticky bomb farther. Not only are you damaged by your own sticky bombs, but you are also knocked back by them. This can be taken advantage of by standing on your own sticky bomb and detonating while jumping to jump higher and/or farther than usual. Experts at this technique can easily jump across the map. There's a technique called sticky-spamming where you quickly tap both the left and right mouse buttons in succession to make the sticky bombs detonate as soon as possible, but keep in mind this doesn't cancel the arming time of the sticky bomb. This is often done because the sticky bombs will explode sooner than the pipe bombs from the Grenade Launcher if it hasn't hit anything.
Just a little personal theory of mine to know, in my experience, the crosshair is slightly off center for Demomans Pipes, meaning you have to aim slightly more left or because the pipes come put a little to the right of the crosshair.
@@Torineesan It's ok, one tip. If you air blast an enemy on his feet at a really close range he will fly in the air. Then you can do any kind of combo you want.

You should watch "OVERWATCH vs TF2, but explained with food". You might get a better idea of the overall arcs of both games being compared to each other, since you're more familiar with OW.
Blud shoot 5 gernades at a heavy teammate while standing still and miss 3 of them and hit 2 of them to the heavy but still dont know things, like Medic once said "You are, STUPID!"
It's nice to see a new player get into TF2. Despite the many cabiats, bad default configuration and valve problems like muting f2p players. But, if you're willing to learn what configurations smooth out the experience, it's always a good time to play it when you see it as a constant source of slapstick comedy.
Tf2 the game you can't play properly without watching 3 tutorials on youtube first. Using console commands to run the game smoothly, changing the Pov so actually see as much as possible and fine tuning all the advanced options.
@@Torineesan I've only made it 20-minutes so far (life keeping me cruelly busy), but I do have some things to say: first, the TF2 tutorial isn't great; it's serviceable, but it came out in 2007 and hasn't been updated since, so even minor and passive player buffs like increased shooting and switch speed aren't accounted for. second, the bot names (CryBaby, The G-Man, Archimedes, etcetera) are all references to Valve or Valve games (TF2 Heavy quotes, Half-Life, Meet the Medic). third, the Coconut.jpeg is a myth, and was confirmed to not exist... kind of; because the 2Fort wood cutout of a cow (and footstep sounds, for some reason) are necessary to keep the game running. no idea why, but they're in a data cache integral to the game launching... for, some reason. Soldier/Demo friendship was apart of the WAR! update, one of the first times the game got new weapon unlocks, with the "mysterious" (for the time) Gunboats going to either Soldier or Demoman, based on how many in-game kills the other class racked up within a timeframe. Soldier won, giving him the Gunboats for increased rocketjumping, while Demo got the runner-up reward of the Chargin' Targe and Eyelander; thus giving birth to both rocketjumping sports and the respected/feared Demoknight. oh and I don't know if anyone told you about Fast Weapon Switch or Auto Reload in advanced options! it gets rid of having to confirm weapon switching, and Auto Reload reloads for you if you're not actively shooting!

You did well as demo, but I dont think demoman is good for you, a fresh new player. I suggest the next time you play tf2, pick Soldier! His rockets fly straight so its easy to fire with, has decent health, has shotgun so you can fight mid range without hitting yourself with your own splash damage, and is overall the frontline of any team. Just aim the explosives at the feet of enemies, let the large splash area help you, and you are already winning.
I know that soldier was meant for beginners and chat was recommending I start with him but after trying him in tutorial I have decided that this type of weapon isn't really my thing

Once you get down to the basis of at least four classes you're going to be loving it non-stop I joined last October and became a level 70 last month.
I plan to find a bit of time to enjoy the game more! For now I am still a bit confused about certain aspects but eager to learn!
