Really don't know how my life would have been without Gracie Jiu jitsu! I was in a toxic relationship for a while and was also dealing with debt..Gjj gave me the power to break off the relationship and weathered the storm until I was able to pay off my debts, it gave me the comfort in Chaos mindset. God bless Ryron and Rener. I am in a much better place now and I owe it all to Gracie Jiu jitsu.
uche nwokedi love how many ways jiu jitsu can positively influence our lives without having to apply technique 😂 for me it has given me more confidence to stand up for myself and less anxiety in a public setting.

That's awesome!!! Luv hearing stories like this
@@MAN_FROM_BEYOND
Lol. Yeah bro, she really had a devastating mental mount on me. Crazy right?
Started training 1 yr ago at 58yrs old and love it.
I started last May on my 56th birthday. I'm addicted to BJJ. :)
@@rickluoni9763 proud of both you guys! That's awesome
Amazing 👏
I started almost 5 years ago. In my 40s. Hang in there. Its worth it.
Well good. I don't feel so bad starting at 46. :-)
I was 48 when I started BJJ. Remember you don't have to end up in a UFC cage you just have to have fun and god forbid, get a little fitter.
I started classes with Rener and Ryron in my 40s. I took classes for two years.
I am 57 and still training, Keep at it!
well most KW said that all martial artists should end up in UFC.
Im 48 and started 6 weeks ago! Thanks for commenting. I'm having a lot of fun. And losing some inches off my gut
One thing I love about this channel is the fact that in one single video you get two senseis to impart you what they know.
LOVE your senses of humor. Made it enjoyable to watch the entire video. Thanks for saying older and fatter people can do this.
Started at 67 years old. I’m loving it.
started after first complete lockdown, aged 67.5 weight 160 lb , 5ft.2ins with one artificial knee ( due to a RTA). Solo drills only possible due to covid, but love it. wish had discovered it years ago . Cant go back so looking forward to next 20 years with GJJ. ( proved not ready for a care home yet! )
By losing the arm lock, you gain the opportunity for another submission like the triangle or omoplata. Like in life, losing something creates an opportunity to gain something else. Great video, guys.
45 start at 30 I call self defense workout these guys are awesome I want tcity to win because they teach great love learn from tayan and Renner hope when 260 over will see coach Brian on occasional
Had 1 yr of BJJ at 49, life interceded with career, moving, divorce. At 54 I returned but couldn’t take the constant beating by the younger guys. Found a local Gracie School (Sault Ste. Marie) and am loving the different style of curriculum. I’m actually learning technique instead of dreading class. Can’t wait to see the 31 Principles come out soon.
Wow, we just got a free lesson. I love How fun they make it. Keep it Playful is their motto. I really appreciate it. As I am 49 and these guys understand it is not age. It is supposed to be learning and keeping it fun. Thank you fellas.
I'm 36, 50kg started bjj 4weeks before lockdown death its too late to start anything new, I also signed up to gracie academy during lockdown lol ❤ cheers guys from New Zealand
OSS bro
Started at 44 im 58 and grateful for being able to train and keep improving my technique and growing oid gracefully
41, 290 lbs (130 kg), starting Gracie Combatives with my two sons to complement Korean kickboxing. Goal is to make the trip from Philly to Torrance for my 20th wedding anniversary in four years to test in person for my purple belt.
I started Jiu Jitsu seven months ago and go three to four times a week at the grand old age of 69,
Never too late. I started three weeks ago, and I’m 47 yrs old and loving it!
Thank you for this online seminar. You guys are awesome.
28 and 68kg. Started jits at 26 and yes, I too thought I was starting too late! It's a natural feeling when you find something as powerful and fulfilling as juijitsu

The best! Thank you Gracie family!
Started on 200+lbs. Very little muscle.. Now 170 feeling healthy 😁 martial arts have many benefits while you're "play fighting" just enjoy the game learn and grow
I’m 35 right now but I started to learn Jiujitsu at the age of 33 and I have a heart condition and my weight before is 90Kgs. But it never restricts me to learn Jiujitsu and MMA. Thank You to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ who strengthens me because I love God first, then started to love Jiujitsu and have the passion to do it. It’s not to late to start while you are still alive and breathing.
So much content. GOLD, thank you Rener and Ryron!
Thank you so much for this share guys!!! What an awesome blessing
Thank You Sir Rener and Sir Ryron for this lessons. More of this lessons and take care always. I am from the 🇵🇭, more power and God Bless! Oss! 🥋

No age or weight limit for gracie jiu jitsu. Just learned that beginner mount escape (to guard) this week at 30yrs old 230pounds, 5 ft 8
Thanks for the free lesson's,I don't have a partner so I will try it on my dog.
They don't line up right for Armbar. And they lick and bite
I've just started, I'm currently doing Gracie University classes. So far it's Incredible! I fell in love a couple of months ago so started training properly and it's Incredible. Have a long way to go but I'm so excited about that!
Hilarious!!!!!! This was great!!! Thanks for the great lesson and the great analogies!
i absolutely loved this seminar, thank you
You guys are awesome and inspiring , thank you.
I just started and I’m 45. I love every moment of it when I’m conscious.
Thank you so much for time and effort, you guys are awesome teachers, at 47 and 66kg I've had 4 lessons, but learning more from your videos, you make it so understandable and fun. Respect from UK🙏
Sir’s, thank you. I’m 51,81kg and been training for 10 month. I train in Plymouth England. This is the best and most informative video I’ve watched to date. Hugely inspiring.
I live in Plymouth too - have you got any recommendations for where to train BJJ :)?
The_ Techno I train at FLO MMA Gym in Plympton. Excellent gym.
@@kennethdonnelly4885 Thank you - I've heard good things about FLO. 👍👍😊
Thank you these live lessons help especially with the terminology you use to be up to date for GST instruction
Started this year age 58 and blind, and loving it
I started up with BJJ after I learned that All Bundy had stardet up around my age (48). No I am 50, love to train BJJ, and I also got my Quick flip in the mail this week. I hope we can start training BJJ here in Norway at the 15. of June.
Excellent masters!!!
👏🏻👏🏻
Started GJJ twelve years ago. Now as a black belt I still get as excited about each lesson as I was when I was a white belt.
God I love the Rener and Ryron banter
Love you guys thank for the knowledge.
Great seminar!
Valid choker😂😂. Beautiful seminar. Respect🙏
72 and 10 months into jiu-jitsu. ARMBAR GUARD (19), MOUNT (9).❤
Thx for Finland - Ahjo Training Center! Blue belt under Delcio Pereira. Great seminar!
Amazing tutorials !!! I feel like I’m there with them !
The noises Ryron makes when he is in trouble are so funny xD they remind me of myself... lmao
Wow. What a seminar! People pay a pretty penny for something like this. These guys offered it for free!! Unreal
wow at 1:13 amazing wisdom, we are always in a rush to escape. I just realized this today, to just be, be in the moment and wait for the setup before just reacting.
"...And then my hand join the party..."
-gracie
Thank You.
Just started, I’m 71 with 6 major surgeries last year. Really love it even when I’m too tired to get out of the car sometimes!! Did get my elbow sprained last week with a “flying” arm bar thrown by a blue belt nut. Wasn’t enough time to tap! Still not going to quit. BJJ is too important to stop.
Dude should have more respect flying armbar! No one in my academy would do that. They would let you dictate the pace of the roll. 71 respect 🙌
Great video and philosophy....
“As long as you have two pillars to pivot on, you don’t care whose arm it is” 😂
You guys together are great teachers. Everything you have ever done or ever experienced has brought you to, and I belive was meant for you to play one of your greatest roles of that as teachers and purveyors of Gracie Jiu Jitsu. How beauruful is that? Thank you, your Grandfather & Grand uncle and everyone in berween that has helped mold both of you 👃
great stuff! thx!
Hit the Americana switch to armbar twice on my cousin the other day!
I HAVE A GREAT DEAL OF RESPECT FOR YOUR FAMILY. I CREATED A GROUP CALLED OUR FAMILY FORUM BASED ON RECOVERY FROM SUBSTANCE ABUSE AND GRACIE JIU JITSU AND JOING JIU JITSU AT AGE 54 AND THANK YOU.
This was epic
AWESOME
chur brothers ricky marsh here from new zealand top notch brothers cool to learn from use man keep it up
I love these guys.....lizard tail....haha You guys should get your own TV show.
Love these guys... I was disappointed I missed it live... thanks for doing this... Please can we have less Ads though, too manyy.. every 2 minutes breaks the concentration. Thanks.
Yes. Was at too many ads.
Holy adds Batman
Gotta get paid though. Think what they'd normally charge for this seminar to the same number of viewers.
I dont like the bowing or the ancestor worship but I love these guys enthusiasm .
Just an FYI at 29:25 audio cuts out 😣 but it comes back anyways good video I learned a lot and reinforced what I learned in my first day of class ✌️😁thank you
Great video!!! Are there video on how to be a smart defensive opponent? I appreciate the armbar tip to tap out early. #6 The Acceptance Principle.
If you are having trouble getting and maintaining an armbar, see your GracieUniversity.com (these people are the best)
They ALMOST sound identical. ❤
Amazing
Great explanation easy to follow, would like info on zoom plans please Jacki
My age is 78 weigh ia 168 pounds. Been taking jiu jitsu for 4 months.
Just found this. Guess what I'm doing this Memorial Day weekend. Stay safe everyone!
You do have to find the right gym. Every session, my joints aged exponentially bc they trained in a reckless fashion. I learned skills but I couldn't run anymore. Tendonitis set in on elbows and wrists. My body could never acclimate and I was living on ibuprofen. I think I will restart at a different gym now that I've recuperated after years of cessation. Be picky about your gym!
I’m 468 pounds. I carry most of my weight in the stomach area. So idk if I could ever train with anyone. I’m trying to lose weight so I can learn one day.
I'm 45 just started, to join my 12 year old in his 3rd year.
Cheers
I'm 56 and I started last year
31 years old white belt. I’m short (5’4) and very light. Love rolling with the bigger mates.
38:35 - 38:45 ... So is it safe to say that the leg spin difficulties are a positional problem?
I love you guys, street defense instead of sport is needed in alot of schools in england.. victim of an unprovoked attack from five, took it down no choice, I got kicked and punched in the head and now I have no forehead, no smell forever, all work on sites, and basically Im heartbroken... Stay safe and always run if it's ever more than one, even with no choice
Run even if it is only one, even if you are a master 👃
35, 240lbs, started at Gracie Academy in August
38:32 Rener is too much!!! LOL
Keep the mount for a different view and nothing else matters.
Ther was an offer of 28:17 videos
Age 39 an 140llb I’d love to do this to. A true fights sport
Apache Moonshine23 I’m also 140lbs. Been training almost 10 months now. Try it out for a few months and see if it’s for you. It’s going to be very hard given your size, people in the gym or training center are going to literally crush you, but don’t give up. Just focus on the basics and surviving at the beginning, then you can get into the fancy stuff once you have fundamentals down.
lamp leather way da go mate 10 months in respect. I’m normally 9stone but I’m on medication that’s making me to 140 I’m extremely flexible tho as I was a gymnast for many years in my teens but all ways stretched when I race bikes to keep flexible. Don’t get me wrong I’m not as flexible as I once was but it’ll all come back. And yes these trained guy would wipe the floor of me. How old are you if ok to ask
136 lbs here - been training for 3 years now. Highly recommended it, best decision I ever made was to just go and check it out
Apache Moonshine23 20 years old
so go fucking do it...????????!?!?!?!??!?! wtf...........
Kinda late to this party but I remember catching someone in the armbar once and it being very uncomfortable in my groin area. It was a 90% roll situation so there wasn't much time for adjustment. What are some ways to mitigate this?
Do a breakdown of Bryce Mitchell v Charles Rosa ufc249 !
Done 1.5 years of jui jitsu so far may be testing it tomorrow against someone’s hopefully not tho.
68 and just starting.
32 principles
I learned that in karate
40 yrs old & 145 lbs 🥰
Wow! That whole section starting around 1:06:00 reminded me of when they teach sales negotiations: After giving the price and asking for the sale, THE FIRST PERSON TO SPEAK LOSES!!
And 1:23:00 section about determining where did you make a mistake 3-4 moves prior to getting caught in an armbar, reminds me of chess: When you’re about to get checkmated, you usually made a mistake many moves prior, and that should be where you learn from.
