Really don't know how my life would have been without Gracie Jiu jitsu! I was in a toxic relationship for a while and was also dealing with debt..Gjj gave me the power to break off the relationship and weathered the storm until I was able to pay off my debts, it gave me the comfort in Chaos mindset. God bless Ryron and Rener. I am in a much better place now and I owe it all to Gracie Jiu jitsu.

Had 1 yr of BJJ at 49, life interceded with career, moving, divorce. At 54 I returned but couldn’t take the constant beating by the younger guys. Found a local Gracie School (Sault Ste. Tendonitis set in on elbows and wrists. My body could never acclimate and I was living on ibuprofen. I think I will restart at a different gym now that I've recuperated after years of cessation. It’s going to be very hard given your size, people in the gym or training center are going to literally crush you, but don’t give up. Just focus on the basics and surviving at the beginning, then you can get into the fancy stuff once you have fundamentals down.

Kinda late to this party but I remember catching someone in the armbar once and it being very uncomfortable in my groin area. It was a 90% roll situation so there wasn't much time for adjustment. What are some ways to mitigate this?

Wow! That whole section starting around 1:06:00 reminded me of when they teach sales negotiations: After giving the price and asking for the sale, THE FIRST PERSON TO SPEAK LOSES!!

And 1:23:00 section about determining where did you make a mistake 3-4 moves prior to getting caught in an armbar, reminds me of chess: When you’re about to get checkmated, you usually made a mistake many moves prior, and that should be where you learn from.
