Somi, John Beasley, Ben Williams: "House of the Rising Sun" | International Jazz Day 2023

The International Jazz Day 2023 All-Star Global Concert on April 30, 2023 opened with acclaimed vocalist Somi and her remarkably unique rendition of “House of the Rising Sun” with John Beasley (piano) and Ben Williams (bass) performing at Meridian House in Washington, DC, USA.
The International Jazz Day 2023 celebration included thousands of jazz performances, jam sessions, master classes, education and community outreach initiatives, and other special events in 195 countries and all 50 U.S. states. Additionally, @UNESCO and the @HancockInstitute of Jazz presented educational programs in five languages.
Major support for International Jazz Day is provided by the @DorisDukeFdn, with additional, generous support from the @FordFoundation. Air transportation and additional support for artists and educators is provided by @united Airlines, the airline partner of International Jazz Day.
