On Brittany Broski’s newest podcast episode she literally told everyone to look this up. She has a point. This was great
I'm about 10 years older than her but when she said there's a great cover of House of the Rising Sun I dashed over
literally came here from her video too lol, I'm so glad she mentioned this, it's incredible
my soul left my body fr
it came up on my recommended page only a few hours later. youtube KNOWS
That's why I'm here too 😂 so glad I did bc WOW
This crowd is WAY to chill for the level of epic this is 🔥
its a bunch of old people what do you mean? they havent had a good knee since bush was president your lucking they're even standing.
I’ve watched this a dozen times over the last few months…always thought the same thing. Would’ve been going ham.

@fearlessandfar: I beg to differ with you AND those who agreed with you and later wrote similar 👎 comments (along with the 176 👍 yours got to date)! Also, I find the remark on the ‘crowd being way too chill for the level of epic’, ‘a bunch of old people’, etc. about this music and talent on stage to be offensive. I’m just about 70 yrs old and 💖’d it! In my own ‘OLD’ opinion, they were great together, and each in their own right having a chance of doing a ‘solo’ helped make it a great 👏 cover overall! Being of the Baby Boomer generation’s culture, I always listened to, and liked the original version, as well as Mumford & Sons music - and still do! Taste in MUSIC has NO age limit, nor should it!
its not a song to go crazy too, its one to admire and sit back n watch
I would sell both of my kidneys for this to be released on Spotify thank u Brittany for putting your loyal subjects onto this
I know a way to get any song onto Spotify. Blew my mind the first time I did it

The way Celisse came outta the gate SHREDDING!!! Yassssss Queen!!!! 🙌🏽
one of the best entrances i have seen
holy shittttttt she melted my face
Her sound was good and her look is cool, but what she played was very rudimentary. Jean Baptiste played a weird solo too
Rudiments be different when a wholehearted *pro* does it... @@Clarinet69
Slinging them strings like a boss!😮
The way Celisse came out shredding reminds me so much of Prince at the 2004 Rock and Roll Hall of Fame induction
Was also my first thought - shame she didn't take a longer solo!
I thought the exact same thing
Yes great comparison!!
thought the same freaking thing
Did not expect sister to come out with the guitar solo.
The whole thing was amazing but I know this song, but that was so unexpected I cried a little.
This needs to be on Spotify. For the people.
Holy shit!!! Everything about this is the best thing ever. She just shows up SHREDDING?! The trombone??! Marcus on guitar??? Damn
Crowd witnessed a top 100 performance of all time and just snapped about it -_-
Nott every form of admirations is by yelling and throwing beer
I was at this show and remember telling people how life changing it was. As a member of Broski Nation, hearing her give this performance its due diligence was all I could ask for.
thank you president broski for sending me here, this is pure art.
saluting you comrade
Trombone Shorty is a beast!!! I've been a fan since his song Hurricane Season. I've never heard of Celisse before but she was on fire!!
Hello Riley how are you doing today?
as President Broski said, "THIS is what live music is supposed to be"
Hello Maige how are you doing today?
when Celisse came out with that guitar, i swear, i got chills right on my ballsack. not joking. one of the best entrances I've ever seen. 🔥🔥🔥
So glad they did this and now made it available to all fans! It was an extraordinary moment, the highlight of that day at the NOLA Jazz Fest
Agreed. This was certainly the highlight of this year’s Jazz Fest for me.
My best moment this year. One of my faves in 20 years of Festing.
See y'all next year.❤
Hands off the wheels, eyes closed full speed on the road , while listening to this as my Leader said
Bro I'd be yelling my lungs out if I was in that crowd. Holy shit this is one of the best renditions i've EVER heard. HUGE props to everyone
why has this not got more views. it's immense. especially that guitar solo
they just played this same rendition at austin city limits and I saw it from the very front. total surprise, and the best live performance i've ever seen.
This is why people love music, this is why people give their time and effort to this craft. By far one of the greatest moments the music scene has seen the past 5 years
Literally started crying when this happened. Three of my favorite artists singing one of my favorite songs. My heart was full to bursting! Thank you for making this video available.
After all the city of New Orleans has been through, I felt the same. Cried like a baby.
Whew Lord! That was Powerful. I wish. that I could have been present to watch such an awesome performance.
Whew Lord! That was Powerful. I wish. that I could have been present to watch such an awesome performance.
Can Jon Batiste and Trombone Shorty just join the band please? The mix between them and Mumford and sons is really awesome!! 🔥🔥🔥
Makes my arm hairs stand on and every time I listen! This is live music at its very very best!!!!!
Celisse blows my mind. What a serve!
That little smile that Marcus gives at 1:30. Just one amazing musician being moved by another amazing musician. Amazing chemistry all around for a bunch of "guest stars".
There are few things better in the world than watching a bunch of outstanding musicians playing a song that they clearly enjoy playing. ❤
I saw this live and spent quite some time that morning telling my family they should be there at this set. Jazzfest has a huge crowd that 50+ and they weren't really familiar with mumford & sons but I kept telling my family it would be worth seeing and that they were really good! This was the best encore I've seen and everyone left that day saying "Wow they were great!"
How many times have you watched this Lucas?
Yes
😂😂😂👌🏽♥️
I saw Trombone Shorty a few years ago, and he blew the doors off. If you ever get a chance to see him live DO IT.
I second this! The only way I know to describe his performance is that he's a trombone rock star.
Not only was it the greatest moment I got to witness at this year’s Jazz Fest. It will also go down as one of the greatest live music moments I have ever had the pleasure of witnessing. Standing there thinking of all that the city of New Orleans has been through… this song, these musicians, this moment… I started crying uncontrollably. It was a beautiful moment to witness. Thank you, Mumford and Sons for making this happen.
Best version HoRS ever heard!!!
Sound quality on LIVE version absolutely amazing!
I was there too and felt the same way. Pure Magic!
❤
Marcus is an amazing ambassador of music. He is always working with all sorts of musicians, way out of any comfort zone. He has the poise and grace to pull off what few can.
Thank you universe for bringing this to me. Have listened to this many, many times today. Long live New Orleans (the city). Love and respect from India
That's a cool ass Mama to play that with her son. I love my mom's music from different eras and regions not just English or Spanish.
That is SO MUCH TALENT on one stage! Absolutely incredible!
just saw this performance at ACL last night… i’ve been to over 100 concerts, and it was by far the best thing I have ever seen live. don’t know if I will ever recover…
Hello Kate how are you doing today?
Madam president sent me, she was right this is so good
Hello Emily how are you doing today?
Thank you Madame Broski for recommending this absolutely iconic performance 👏👏👏
AS A BROSKI NATION CITIZEN I had to witness this, instant like and comment, Supreme Leader was right. THIS IS MUSIC
she played the HELL out of that guitar
holy shit Celisse SHREDS
He truly knows where he shines but also how & when to step back to allow others to shine just as bright ♥
supreme leader said watch, so I'm watching
she's so wise this was amazing
Move aside Prince, there’s a new Queen of legendary guitar solos in town.
Somewhere, SRV is thinkin':
"Umm-hmm. Absolute killer jam. Wish I was on that stage."
this made me feel alive again
all hail mother broski
👏 I’m about 70 yrs old and found this gem 💎 today by sheer coincidence! Having always liked the song, and also Mumford & Sons, I had NO idea what to expect - but I am totally impressed with everyone who is a part of the performance. Each one is 👍 on his/her own, but together they were completely in sync, making it almost better than the original imo!
Best rendition I've ever heard-- and for such an iconic song that it saying a lot.
Holy shit...TROMBONE SHORTY Y'ALL!
Wow! What a lot of talent on one stage, one one song! Love Batiste and Shorty together! But when Celisse got in that solo .... woah.
Celisse is a force of nature... OH MY GOD!!!
I don't even know what I can give in exchange for how that made me feel.
All I can say is thank ya'll.
This really made me emotional. There are few things more beautiful than watching artists who aren’t from here truly embrace and lift up New Orleans. So often we’re misunderstood, but the few people that get it - man, do they get it. Thank you for this incredible moment.
AH MAY ZING. I was blown away by every artist and every instrumental solo.
You can try and put this into words. But all of us know, things like this can only be felt!
SHE SHREDDED THAT SHIT SO HARD GODDAMN!!!!
For those of you who didn’t watch Stop Making Sense with the Talking Heads I highly suggest that as well. If you enjoy watching amazing artists get really into what they’re doing you’ll love that too
I watched it, you are so right
That was one of the best jams I’ve heard in a long time
i think if i saw that live i would've actually started crying
THEY KILLED THAT SHIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIIT
I never thought seeing Bruce Springsteen bring out Eddie Vedder for Atlantic city at Wrigley Field would be topped as my favorite concert moment I've been at, but This at jazz fest this year just jumped that!
Here from Broski Nation
Unbelievable! I would have lost my mind if I’d seen this in person. So grateful it has been made available to watch. What a blessing. ❤️♾🌎
As someone who was there, can confirm. I lost my mind.
What an amazing ending to a great set at Jazz Fest 2023
Certainly one of the best moments of this year’s fest.
Supreme leader sent us to hear our national anthem
Guy makes the trombone soud like a trumpet. Wow...
god damn that guitar solo gave me chills
Long live music
When the guitarist hits that solo… it was perfect.
The trombonist was great too.
supreme overlord broski bless you 🙏🙏
When Brittany says to go watch something i obey
Were yall sent by supreme leader Brittney too?
I couldn’t imagine the out of body experience it is to see this live, beautiful
Brittany’s always right. Eyes closed, hands off the wheel
Man, I love *all* of this, but Celisse just absolutely kills it. Phenomenal!
Literal chills. Some serious talent on that stage. Best rendition of house of the rising sun ever? Which is no small compliment because everyone’s covered this once.
Gals fire on that guitar! Nowhere does it like New Orleans
I swear one day i'll be able to listen to this video without crying😂 the energy they create all together is MEZMERIZING❤ it gives me chills everytime, I wish I was there in the crowd
I lack words........just let it seep into me
This was the most amazing live performance I’ve ever seen. God knew not to let me be there in person or it would’ve woken something dastardly inside of me. I remain tame for now.
brittany was right this is live music right here
Hello Hannah how are you doing today?
Best cover of this song I've ever seen!
Broski nation reporting for duty 🫡
that IS life changing
That was so overwhelming I burst out crying about half way through and didn't stop. Amazing energy. I needed this. Thank you very much.
I say I’m not easily influenced then immediately do what broski says
Possibly one of the best cover versions in the history of cover versions...... Well done.
here from brittneys recommendation and NOT disappointed
madam president sent me here, and i have never been so happy to have been influenced, this is amazing. such amazing musicianship :)
Wow what an Iconic performance from you tube it was mind blowing. Must have been out of this planet if you were @ New Orleans Jazz festival..❤❤❤
Legend has it that stage is still on fire up to this day 🔥
hellooooo broski nation
Heard this live at ACL 2023 and it was magical
I am a very emotional person when it comes to music, and usually when I cry it's because the song touched me in ways I can't explain..but THIS time it touched me because of just how much fun they're having and how much appreciation they all have for music. No one appreciates music anymore, it was meant to bring people together. Also, Brittany Broski told me to come here😊
Hello Kay how are you doing today?
That trombone is sweet!!!!
You won't truly understand this song until you go to New Orléans .❤
I LOVE how much joy they find in just nerding out to other musicians!
One of my favorite things about Jazz Fest is impromptu collabs between the local musicians with the headliners. And Ive been going since the 70s ❤
Trombone Shorty and Celisse!
That last minute and a half
Maybe the coolest rendition of this old classic ever made!
