Seriously though, it really is the giant dogs that are the most welcoming and loveable😭😭🤣🤣! I can't tell you how many big doggies come up to me at work greeting me with licks and demanding pets.
@@sissysovereign1294 Yea they are so loving one thing which I notice my great dane will do is just lean her whole body against you being like "pet me now" and it's awesome
3:20 “poor Max, it wasn’t his fault, it’s all me.” What a wonderful owner. She not only did something to correct the problem, by calling Victoria in to help her with the training, but she completely owned her mistake, which is something that not a lot of owners do. I hope her and Max have a long, happy and gentle loving life together.
I know! it was so lovely that she immediately owned up to her mistake and didn;t put any blame on max. She's one of the best owners I've seen on the show
One of the toughest things to teach a big dog is not getting too physical when they want to be friendly with others. I’ve met too many Labradors and golden retrievers whose idea of a friendly greeting was jumping on me.
All that comes from people unintentionally encouraging the jumping when a puppy is small, and then when the dog gets bigger people suddenly expect the dog to stop jumping. So much is expected of large dogs and so many people just want a "quick fix". A lot of people don't realize how much time and effort goes into training a large dog.
@@livi6886 Exactly! So many people come to me screaming, jumping and excited with a baby voice to greet my dog and then wonder why he matches their energy and gets over excited. I wish people would understand more.
I have a Saint Bernard. Can confirm they think they're little lap dogs who just want to be loved. Max is a good boy who wants lovings and is a happy dog
I love how the owner said it’s not Maxs fault it’s mine shows she genuinely loves him and wants the best most owners will blame their dogs for their behaviour but the thing is like kids dogs learn rules boundaries and limitations from the owners if the owner takes the time to show and reinforce it
I gotta say this is the most adorable episode ever imagine just being a really good boy and being to rough with cuddles gotta love max and maxs owner for owning up to her mistake
Very nice! My dog is a German Shepard, Alaskan Malamute, and Blue Nose Brindle mix. He's only 6 months but he's already HUGE and people think he's actually 2 or 3. So I know when he is old he is gonna be unbelievably large! He's very lovable, he loves everyone, and just like the good boy in this video, when he gets excited it gets a lil dangerous, especially for guests that don't know how to handle all the love he has to give! This was helpful, thank you!!
owner: the problem is that he doesnt know his strength victoria: oh is that so? max: *VICTORIA ARE YOU HAPPY? I GIVE YOU A HIGH FIVE PLEASE GIVE BOOP AND TREATS*
I have a Saint Bernard- I would be willing to bet it’s this clean on the show but not always. I will mop and vacuum and in 15 min there’s hair and slobber on the floor again 😂
This was really touching. Both Max and his owner are so sweet and loveable. The lady just needed a little push of her mind and immediately realized what she had done wrong and which way to go. I have not the slightest doubt that she and gentle giant Max will live happily and harmoniously.
Very sweet lady and dog! I just wish some large dog owners understood how important it is to train and set boundaries early on. We had a big cane corso boy come to the doggy daycare I work at and he was SUPER sweet but had NO manners. He would drag his pregnant mom around, jump all over her and us, and ended up breaking my cowoker's finger. Not sure if the woman in this video had him as a puppy, but it's SO important to start training dogs (ESPECIALLY big dogs) when they're small so you don't have a giant liability running around.
I like this owner cause she doesn't blame her dog for the unwanted behavior, hearing her say - Poor Max it wasn't his fault, it was all me, that was refreshing to hear. Instead of those owners that straight away says that the dog is the problem, cause it rarely if EVER is the dogs fault. I love Victoria's approach to dog training, cause she never punishes the dogs, only redirecting them
Wow, he is just soooo smooshy! I can understand where the owner is coming from, but as Victoria said, you can't have one rule for you and another for visitors. Maybe if she got him neutered he will settle down, a lot 🤔. He's such a beautiful big boy I would love on him too ❤
my deerhound does this, once at vets she looked around saw all small dog sitting on owners laps looked at me then proceeded to crush my leg when she jumped up and sat on my lap all lady like lol
Love this video! What a big fluffy baby! Amazing owner too. It’s not really her fault either if you don’t do the research you don’t know what to do she learned quickly so did max. Xx
My dog does the same… He’s smaller and doesn’t do it to often But there are times he’ll use his claws so say to him “oww that hurt!” and he knows so he stops
You get used to it! When ours isn't excited, eating, drinking, or exercising it's not even an issue. And for those above things a little towel dry and he's all set! Don't let the drool turn you off of this breed!
We had 2 Saints years ago. They were never any problem they would come and lay on our knees while we watched TV when we said they could but never hurt us and would get up when asked. One big rule was no jumping up on people - the only time that was allowed was if it was my husband or myself and we said up. It is definitely how they are brought up - like any dog. When we had the kids, those dogs were so gentle and never knocked them over once and followed them everywhere. Best natured dogs you could have.
Yeah I hate when Victoria says you can't have 2 different rules for you and for guests.. you very easily can. My dog knows there are things he can do with me that he can't do with others. He also knows if I say "enough" then that means to stop.
Oh! This is something I've never really thought of before. Now, my Old English Bulldog is only 35kg so much smaller than Max, but he has large and heavy paws and this can sometimes hurt me or others as well when he does it. I am definitely going to implement this in our work with him so he will also be a bit safer for our smaller dog as well as my little nieces and nephew.
Max is just too cute. I don't blame the owner wanting to cuddle him alot. Even I have a dog called Max and he's an American Bully and he's also a big baby ❤❤
we have 4 dogs in our home; One small 3 legged pitbull; one Australian Shepherd/Lab; One German Shepard; the one VERY BIG 7 month old Great Pyrenees who is bigger than all of the adult dogs 😅😅😅 but we LOVE him and we use your tactics on him and he's is responding great. Big Doggos just need a little patience!
I love that Max is a good boy who just doesn't know he's enormous. He's not aggressive or misbehaving, he just needs some boundaries set in place.
He’s so loving!!!
He is it really is awesome
He’s just a big teddy that just needs to learn his size and weight

This has to be the most responsible dog owner that’s been on the show.
No fr😭 she brings me hope.
Also watch peanut 🙊🙊 he was adorable ❤️❤️

yes, e lady is amazing!
This moment really touched me! What a sweet owner. Max is such a lovely boy, too, bless him
I know! it was so lovely that she immediately owned up to her mistake and didn;t put any blame on max. She's one of the best owners I've seen on the show
That accent. Its so thicc
i really like her, i respect her so much when she put the blame on her and not on the dog, that was amazing to me
I just find it so cute how the only problem here is that he’s too much of a good boy! However, the problem is still rather serious.
That is a certified good boy right there, he just doesn't realize he's massive.
One of the toughest things to teach a big dog is not getting too physical when they want to be friendly with others. I’ve met too many Labradors and golden retrievers whose idea of a friendly greeting was jumping on me.
Ummm I hate to break it to you but there are things larger than those breeds
My friends have a Newfoundland who likes to jump up on me - I hate it.

Aww this big boy is such a lover.
I gotta say this is the most adorable episode ever imagine just being a really good boy and being to rough with cuddles gotta love max and maxs owner for owning up to her mistake
Max looking confused when Victoria walks away is priceless 🤣

I love how relaxed that training was, no stress at all. Such a sweet dog, just didn't know his own size.

Awww max is big teddy bear 🧸 so precious and so sweet 💕
Her home is IMMACULATE for having such a big dog. You can tell he's so clearly taken care of and well behaved.
