We do very little screen time in our home, but the other day, when the two little ones were napping, and my oldest (5) came to me from her short quiet time, I said hey, do you wanna see what mommy watches in the evening? She was so excited and we watched one of your videos together. Gabriell just loved the house and the chicken and all the different colored eggs. You made burgers and ate out in the garden and she asked if we could do the same, so today we enjoyed a beautiful summer evening with from scratch burgers outside with our kiddos Gabriell, Raphael and Mikaila. It was just wonderful and my daughter can't wait to sit and have some special time with me again and discover some more of your delicious meals ❤ always a joy and inspiration to see all 5he wonderful things you do for your family.
What a lovely comment. It made me smile. My kiddos are 38 and 40. Time goes so fast.😊❤
How precious! Thank you so much for sharing.
That's so sweet and wholesome. Which is why we love this channel. Keep enjoying your babies and the simple times in life. Thank you for sharing.
Lisa is so talented and I love watching her also. I could binge watch her all day. Love the cooking from scratch and cleaning videos, heck I love them all 😊
How lovely. ❤😁❤️
I was in awe watching you make all those meals. When I was pregnant I couldn’t be on my feet long, if at all from premature labor starting as early as 3 months. I don’t know where you get all your energy from creating new life while caring so graciously for your family at the same time.
I really like your stances on food, like not worrying on the occasional times you're not eating at home, and about GMO, etc., bu I also really like that you are not preachy. There's no way to be perfect for any of us but we do the best we can.
Also, your husband is so blessed by you for your service to your family.
Thank you for this balanced approach. So many people are so obsessed with eating healthy, their kids miss out on a lot of social activities like birthday parties. Physical health should be an aide to mental health, not a detriment.
Part of mental health is avoiding all parties one gets invited.😊
I love your content, and I'm a homemaker as well, but only a few years in with 2 little people. My 3 year old daughter was "helping" wash the dishes while I had this episode playing on the windowsill in front of us, and she asked me if this happened a long time ago, and if you drive a car. We live a very similar lifestyle, so it caught me off guard, but I think it was the fact that you used a match to light your stove. 😉 Three year olds don't miss anything 😃
Thanks for sharing!!
There's a very simple trick to keeping parchment paper from rolling up (which can be really annoying when you're handling dough). You take the parchment paper, crumple it up and then spread it out again. For me that was one of the best tricks, even when it comes to lining baking pans and such. I can only speak for our German baking paper, but I'm sure it will work with others too.
That's a good tip! Thank you for sharing.
Yes!! It's my "go to" trick for parchment paper that wants to roll up on me!
Or flip it around to lay flat
Thanks for sharing this! I’m going to try this tip.
I sprinkle some water on the tray and spread it onto the whole surface so the paper gets stuck to it, but it does not get really wet.
I’ve always baked a whole chicken the “traditional “ way, but after watching your video I decided to spatchcock it and what a difference! Not a drop was left over, thank you!
Wonderful!
Hi :) I'd like to know at what temperature and how long ? I'm not used to cook whole chicken in the oven. Is it better low temp for a longer time or roasting for a shorter period ? Thank you
Sourdough cookbook?! Yes! Can’t wait 💕
Lisa, you are an absolute wonder..... you really are...... those pizzas looked so delicious! I can just imagine your family loving a day out at the pool & you coming home & thinking, "I've got this, dinner is DONE!" No better feeling as a mom.......then, the kids have such fun at the pool, are exhausted & eat, wash up & fall in to bed. The BEST! : )
Your mastery in the kitchen is impressive! A joy to watch 🙏🍞🥩🍕
40 years ago, just having my 1st child....I had a dream kitchen & farm life pictured in my mind....It was honestly a near match to your beautiful home/life. It didn't work out that way for me, but LOVE watching your channel... I'm in awe. What an amazing homemaker you are and such an inspiration to the young & old. 😉 I never did master sourdough, but sure wanting to give it another try!
My son will be 40 this yr too!
My, aren’t we ancient lol
You can do it!
You are literally like a cooking machine. I have to over think everything and I actually hate to cook. So to watch you so effortlessly do what you do in the kitchen amazes me!!! All the while, usually holding a baby, with your beautiful children around you, I so admire you!!! Your mother must have taught you and your sisters well. I don't know what you have for siblings, but wonder if you have brothers, do they cook also? How did you learn to do it all??? I think a big part of it, is loving what you do. Thank you for sharing your recipe ideas. Your family is so blessed to have you as a mother and also your dear husband for a father!! God Bless your family!
I have three sisters. Thank you so much and yes, a big part is that I love what I do.
I've been friends with Lisa's mom for along long time. One day I ask her where Lisa learned to cook? I said "I k ow she didn't get that from you " and she said "you're right. I think she must have learned it from her grandma".
@@joymorrison6614 my mom was taught cooking is drudgery
Beneath a woman
Keeping her down
So I learned to bake n cook myself also - my older relatives gave only negative vibes
It’s the richest thing a woman can do, in reality!
Steak rare all the way, my cousin teases me and says a good veterinarian could bring it back to life 😁
I don't know if you noticed when you went back and watched this video, but you had water on the front of your shirt, it was in the shape of a heart, so sweet! Thanks for all the great ideas of home cooked meals 🍽🍽
As a Brit who only knows grams - I really appreciate you going to the effort of making it accessible to us!! Thank you!!
Your'e welcome.
So excited for a physical cook book! Hoping for a conversion chart for fresh mulled flour too.
I use to make my mayo with avocado oil only and it went bad quite quickly. I started using half olive oil and half avocado oil and it lasts longer rather than just the avocado oil.
This is very helpful, thank you! I made an egg salad with homemade avocado oil mayo and it was rancid just 2 days later, I was so disappointed at how much was wasted.
@@Melshed ingredients are so expensive we have to do our best with them. I have also used apple cider vinegar with the mother in it when I haven't had lemons to juice. It kind of ferments it a little also. I do prefer lemon juice though.
I think she ferments it to make it last longer
@@mangoluverblake yes, I know, I'm just throwing out another option. It all depends what ingredients people have. I have also used apple cider vinegar rather than lemon juice which ferments the mayo a bit also as I said to melissa in this thread.
Mustard helps with preventing the mayo going bad too fast. Ours keeps about 3 weeks
SO excited for the cookbook!
Yay a cookbook! Can’t wait!
Okay I’m SO excited for your cookbook!! I’ve only bought one other cookbook in my life, but even with all of your recipes printed out- I’m def grabbing a copy when you release it!! ❤
Oh, the video ended too quickly. I love watching you move around your kitchen, reaching for this spice, grabbing the tool you need, lighting the oven, rolling out the dough. You have made such strides in your skills since I started following you about three years ago. (Now you’re making assorted cheeses!) I’m so thankful for the way you inspire other young mothers to feed their families! Everything looks so delish! 🥗
Thank you so much!
Yes. I love to watch her kitchen dance, too. I cook and clean vicariously through my favorite UA-cam influencers. Then I don’t feel like I have to do it. 😂 Kidding. You’re inspiring, Lisa.
Loved this so much! So wholesome 😊
I’m so happy to see you are expecting a new baby. 💜 What a wonderful blessing.
Me too!! Thank you so much!
@@FarmhouseonBoone you are so welcome dear. When I watch you and your beautiful family it makes me wish I could go back and live those sweet moments with my children. They are all adults, I’m pretty older than you and your husband.
What I wish to convey to you is that you sharing the love you have for your husband and children truly makes me feel happy.
I am so stoked about this cookbook!! I have been waiting ❤❤❤. Thank you Lisa
Yeah! So looking forward to the cookbook. Hope to see it out soon!
Yay! A physical cookbook! Cannot wait, 🥹👀❤️
I am so excited to hear about the cookbook! I appreciate your videos so much, and look forward to every single one!
Love this! Would love a video on your yummiest sheet pan dinners, like you mentioned! That’s such a good idea.

Your family is fortunate to eat Fresh & home cooked
Thanks for sharing ur Lifestyle on ur Farm! ❤
I love watching you cook for your family, and I'm really excited for your cook book to come out!!! Can't wait to hear when!
Just stumbled upon your channel - LOVE IT!!!
Yay a cookbook! I was just thinking earlier today while making your no knead sourdough bread that I’d like a cookbook from you! 👏🏽
I'm glad you're going to be using grams in your recipes, it's nice to have very specific measurements when learning a recipe, but I also love how simple and no-fuss your recipes are! It's nice not always need a scale, and you're one of the few bloggers I follow who still uses cups. I hope you will not take away the cups when you add the grams!
I love real cookbooks! Can’t wait!
Thank you for your recipe book - so grateful. You are truly inspirational!
Hi Lisa loved this cooking video your food looks amazing💕🤩I’m getting my sourdough starter out of the fridge to make the pizzas yummy Thankyou for sharing your time 🤩🤩
You are so amazing to watch. Cooking is exactly how you show it-use what you have on hand. I noticed your suntanned back when you placed your meatballs in the oven.😊
Your food looks so delicious. Thanks for coming out with a cookbook!!!!
I love the fridge ferments and your style is so great! Easy classy and real
Thank you for comment at the beginning of the video its very realistic. Ive been watching your videos for years and youve inspired me so much to make food from scratch as often as possible. Hope you all have a great sunmer!
Our lives are so different, but you never fail to inspire me & make me hungry!
I am very much looking forward to a physical cookbook!! 🤗
I’m so excited for cookbook! I have many of your recipes written down in my recipe binder, but often need to look things up online or in notes in my phone so a physical cookbook would be so helpful! And I’m sure it will be beautiful as well.
Wonderul video! You transmit such calmness and ease! Thank you!
It all looks so yummy!! Those pizzas look incredible! Looking forward to seeing your cookbook!
Just yesterday I was thinking how I would love to have your cookbook on my countertop! Now I can! So excited to be able to buy it!

So excited for your cookbook ! Love your videos ❤
Thanks so much 😊
I felt at peace watching this video 😢❤ love this!
I love to watch your channel. Thank you. Can't wait for the sourdough cookbook
Those pizzas look heavenly!! And I absolutely love the idea of using fig jam for the sauce! I’m going to have to try that!
Your recipes are helping me get back in gear with my normal daily activities. Thank you, as this was some inspiration for me.
I’m so excited about your cookbook! If it’s out by Christmas, I will gift it to my self 😂
You are such a blessing to your family!
You make all your cooking look so effortless. I'm jealous
Food looks fantastic. I love a colorful plate. Certainly makes eating even more fun.
You're so fascinating 🥰 I really enjoy watching your videos. They help me try something new and slow down a little.
Wonderful ideas! The dough is my obsession. It makes me so relaxed because it reminds me of my youth.
I love your channel and love all your meals! I will definitely be buying your cookbook ❤ Many blessings to you and your family!
thank you!
I just stumbled on your channel; You're just awesome, and love every moment of your "nurturing" environment ......
Ohhh my goodness
I will definitely purchase your sourdough cookbook - keep us posted.
I use your recipes often. Absolutely love the bread machine recipe, and I’ve also made hotdog and hamburger buns.
Excellent video. Fig jam on pizza looks yummy!
I cannot wait for the cookbook!!!
I will be looking for that cook book. Im new to your channel and im just blown away with your videos and style.
I still love seeing that beautiful blue in your dining area now 😍 you truly are embracing the warm feel of your home!
Have been making homemade bread from scratch my entire life, love to bake. Its only the past few months I have been making sourdough anything, lol ty so much for all the wonderful recipes. I just make pizza for late lunch for son and hubby they loved it, TY again. Looking forward to the rec book :)
So excited for your cookbook, Lisa! You made sourdough so simple and doable for someone like me who struggles to be precise with cooking and baking. God Bless your beautiful growing family!
Can’t wait for the cookbook! 😁 Being in Australia, the cup measurements are different to America, so grams will be great! 🙌
I've just discovered your channel and I'm so happy as I love cooking. Thanks for all that you're sharing with us! Hugs from France. :)
Welcome!!
I so agree with you on the Grassfed and nongmo grain finished, that’s what we plan to do with ours. Best of both worlds.
Thank you for your videos and content, and I enjoy the cooking and recipe videos. I miss your older videos where you spoke during the video recording and did NOT do a voice-over. I appreciate the harder time and work that takes, but just a comment. Again, great videos!
I use your recipes at least 3-4 times a week, I will 100% buy your recipe book! I really enjoy hard copy recipe books, I'll reach for them first instead of E-books! Cannot wait for it! I'm in New Zealand, so hopefully I will be able to buy into nz
Thank you for sharing about grass feed, grain finished. We buy this because of cost and it’s affirming to hear someone else I admire using this option!
This was an amazing video Lisa. Ty
Those buns look so so good and fluffy.
It is so good so many of your kids like sauerkraut!! I could never get into it and only my husband eats it in our household.
Oh I was just about to ask if you have a cookbook! Looking forward to it!
Excellent video. You are a master bread maker. Take care.
I am a newer subscriber and I just wanted to say how much I am enjoying your videos. That you for showing me that it’s perfectly acceptable (and wonderful) to serve avocado and sauerkraut as side dishes to a dinner with no fuss 🥰
Absolutely!
@@FarmhouseonBoone I literally have these on hand every single day but never thought to just serve them as side dishes and now I am empowered with the ease of this. Thank you! I have been doing this and it’s great 🥰
Congratulations! And may God bless you and your family.
Love the idea of a Lisa cook book, especially as you are including grams and ounces. I live in Ireland 🇮🇪 we use weighing scales for most baking and recipes. Your home is story book beautiful ❤
We spatchcocked a couple turkeys couple years back , two different occasions and they cooked great. It was like a one pot dinner for us with the veggies like you've done in this video. I add sausage to my meatballs and don't have to season with the extras. I also put them in the oven. One time I made enough meatballs to be able to freeze and reheat later. Makes for quick pasta dinners put together.
This is amazing i love it so much❤
This lifestyle is so beautiful- trying to prepare to be a good homemaker someday. Love watching you and your family!! 💕 thanks for sharing
You are a dream. I love how wholesome your content is. I want to be this kind of mama❤
Such a great video, thank you so much for the inspiration!!
You are so welcome!
hey girl- love the video! Enjoy seeing you in the kitchen whipping up all kinds of yummy food!!😀😋 Love seeing you and your family outside eating- oh so special🥰 That pizza and homemade rolls look amazing😊 y'all have a great weekend
Thank you so much 🤗
This was the most relaxing & sweet series to watch . you amaze me with all you do. I think I’ve made bread once in my life , in 6th grade (1977) . Loved watching 🤍
Glad you enjoyed it!
Miso paste is also delicious in mayo- and fermented 😊
I am so excited for your cook book!!!
Me too!!
I love these videos, helps me plan dinners! I'm making your sourdough challah for shabbat this week, it's rising now, wish me luck!
Good luck!!
I love watching your videos! Thank you
Thank you for all the inspiration! Your meals and skills show you really know what you are doing!! That’s so refreshing!
Thank you so much!
It's so relaxing to watch your videos ❤
Indeed sheet pan dinners are so handy, as well as one pot meals with rice. I love making a honey garlic sweet potato sheet pan dinner and lately have been making often a rice and smoked sausage pan. Delicious with fresh parsley and you can change up the seasoning.
I’ve been making rice more often lately too and recently I’ve been fermenting the rice for 24 hours prior. The rice is so much better this way. I also ferment my potatoes for 3 days for French fries! I just started getting into fermenting my foods.
you are so amazing, I love watching you make all of your different delicious, looking meals and food
Thank you so much
Very excited about your cookbook coming out! Also quick idea about sauerkraut: i am from Eastern Europe where it is a staple. We add whole peppercorn and bayleaf in addition to the caraway seed. Some also add a whole dried chili pepper. I think the bay leaf helps preventing browning of the cabbage.
Thanks for sharing.
So excited for a cookbook from you!! You are the reason I've been successful with sourdough. You make it practical for a busy mom!
Yay! Thank you!
