I love how you have changed in your baking! When I first started watching your blog you didn't let you family eat sweets! You are making such lovely food and deserts for family! My mother didn't cook with sour dough but she mad so many of these meals that you make!
Lisa you need to contact a publisher about a cookbook deal...it would be a best seller!!! Your love & nuture of your family is so genuine & true!!!❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉❤🎉
I so enjoy watching you cook all of the beautiful meals. Your blueberry pastry was over the top. Your breakfast pizza, GREAT!!!. Thx for all the good food, ideas.
I will most definitely be purchasing your cookbook lisa! You have been providing meal inspiration to me for years through your content and I really feel like a better cook because of it! Looking forward to your cookbook!!!
Thanks for posting these meals. We had a statewide power outage in MS last week, losing everything in the freezer & your easy budget meals are helping me while I have to restock my kitchen. I’ve been so lost on what to make
Oh my word! Everything looks amazing. The braid is beautiful and the other breakfast meals look incredible. Can I just come over for breakfast every day?!! Seriously.
Hi I just came across your channel and you are such an inspiration to be and do better and more. Sometime when I watch people I get so amazed by all they do.. it makes me want to be better. Thank you for just being you and if you didnt know.. I as a woman, mother and wife appreciate how real you are. ❤
OMG! I am so excited for your cookbook! Recommendations please: include speeds and time at speed for anything using the kitchenaid. Also include an entire section on discard recipes! I cannot wait to see the finalized version of this! I'm an author and have published multiple books, so if you want an extra pair of eyes on the rough version for feedback, respond to this comment and I'll get in touch with you! Thanks for all you do - it's very inspiring to me :)
Cookbook!!! Will it be ready for Christmas?! Because we have a tradition of giving a book to everyone on Christmas Eve, and due to a flood, 95% of my cookbooks were ruined last year right before Christmas. This would be an heirloom book! ❤️
Looking forward to the cookbook Lisa. I love your recipes and refer all of my friends to your channel. Watching your videos gave me the courage to start my sourdough jouney without intimidation. Appreciate you and all you do. Your are inspiring. BTW been doing Sourdough over an year and I can make anything now and experiment. You rock girl!
I recently made a breakfast crustless quiche for my daughter with potato and I had ham in the fridge. She loved it with some bread. Potatoes here are not a breakfast staple (though I don't see why not, it's a carb just like bread) so I often forget them as a breakfast option. I also make, in jars, my own dry mixes. So I can easily grab one, add the wet ingredients I write on the label and have breakfast without much hassle. Great for busy mornings :) It also makes it easy for my husband to make something else then a peanut butter sandwich if he has to make breakfast. Things like oat muffins or breakfast cookies, pancake mix, cornmeal muffins. And I can easily add seasonal ingredients such as fruit to it. I never made sweet pastry braids. But I have a lunch or dinner recipe for a sausage and herb braid that is delicious.
Oh! My favorite is breakfasts! These are so decadent Lisa you are a fantastic cook and sourdough just awesome its my favorite word for your videos just amazing! I love it!
Hi Lisa, I know it’s not pumpkin time in the US but seeing you make scones I thought I would share that in Australia we make pumpkin scones, they are delicious. You would need to adjust your recipe. I leave out half the milk and add a cup of mashed pumpkin or butternut squash with 1 teaspoon of mixed spice. I tend to keep them either sugar free or only a very little sugar. They are usually served at 11am out of the oven with butter and jam ( kids) or butter and cheese (adults) along with a good strong cup of tea. This is called elevens or smoko. 🇦🇺🦘
I have been watching your channel for a little while now. I tried making my own sourdough starter but when I tested it -it didn’t work. But I’ll try again. I appreciate how real you are. Thanks for sharing❤
Ty for sharing, they look so good. I've been enjoying all the sourdough you've inspired me to make. Bagels are rising as I type. I'm so jealous of the avocados you and your sister open, they always look so perfect lol yum
We eat what we call "scramblett" for breakfast usually once a week. Very similar with some sort of chopped breakfast meat, fried potatoes, onions, but scrambled eggs instead of fried and tossed with shredded cheese.
Hi Lisa. I’m obsessed with your channel. I feel like I’ve won the lottery. You are so inspiring me. I only have one child who is ten but I have the same aspirations as you. I love baking sourdough, gardening, cooking, homesteading. I had a dairy goat until she sadly passed away. I would love to get a jersey one day or another saanen goat. Sadly I have struggled with chronic illness over the past few years so I don’t have your consistent agility. But you do give me hope. I love your faith. I love that you listen to your Bible app as your “down time”. I can clearly see that the Lord has blessed you and your family abundantly for your devotion to Him. I would love to share a tiny hack that’s oh so easy and oh so good. You may not agree but I encourage you to try it. Just find a lid that comfortably fits over your skillet. Crack your eggs in and put the lid on (glass lid is the best so you can see when the eggs are done). I sometimes even put a tsp of water in the pan too if there’s only one egg in there. It’s almost fried on bottom and perfectly poached on top. Let me know if you decide to try it. My 94 year old Pop taught me this way as a little kid. I hate flipping eggs lol. Thank you for the blessing of sharing how possible it is to live my dream. ❤
Cannot wait for your cookbook!! Love your interesting takes on real whole foods..all the combos and flavors. It’s how I try to eat 👏😊 Would love new ideas and have them right here in a book. So excited❤️😄
That egg and potato dish looks incredible. WOW. I hope to see the sourdough cookbook when it is done. I still have never made sourdough and really want to. I bake breads but just never went the sourdough route (but have always wanted to). love how you worked out the pastry braid. I want to make the scones!
So inspiring as always. Now that summer is in full swing, I’ve been getting back into making kefir smoothies. I would love to see a bunch of different recipe variations of how you make your kefir smoothies that your kids love! Perfect summer video idea?!
I have made quite a few of your sourdough recipes, every one delicious! I will gladly pre order your sourdough cookbook. It will be wonderful to have them in a hard copy and not have to look up on line. I’m very excited for your book and so is my daughter😍😍😍
I love your channel. The videos are beautiful. Please can I ask what your children are doing while you are homemaking, baking etc for so many hours? I have 2 home educated children and I find it hard to get anything else done!
I don't spend hours baking everyday...not even close. Remember these are edited videos sometimes of more than one day. My husband works from home and my little people take naps. If it is a school day, often some of the kids are working just off camera and I answer questions and help them if they need it.
All of these recipes look and sound so delicious. I am a recent subscriber and have been watching so many of your videos! It's very soothing and calming for me too haha.
Can you do a new video on how you take care/clean/season your cast iron? I love using it but find it always sticks and I am never sure how to clean it after as there is so much differing information out there…
Search cast iron here on this channel. I already made a video on how I care for them. I also have info on my blog..www.farmhouseonboone.com/how-to-season-cast-iron-and-cook-with-it-too
I love your recipes! I would greatly love if there was a note on each on how to make them with fresh ground whole wheat! I can’t eat all purpose flour. 😢
@FarmhouseonBoone Looking forward to having all my favorite sourdough recipes in one place! ☺️ I usually do 100% einkorn and everything sourdough so I end up adapting some recipes a little. Even though modern grains are more digestible fermented I feel best on einkorn. So, if you've tried any of the recipes with einkorn and include tips in the notes I would love it all the more. 🫶 Btw - I made your sourdough Cinnamon rolls but with an almond filling and holy smokes was that delicious. The honey in the dough really lends a nice flavor. 🤤
Can’t wait for your sourdough book! I’m curious to know if there will be info about getting a starter going because I have tried so many times but failed. I’m not going to give up because I would love to try all your recipes!❤
Well do like I did. Get rid of your stove and only use your instapot (stainless steel insert). Well I do use a non stick frying pan too but I haven’t even missed my stove. I use glass baking dishes in my big toaster oven to bake in. It holds two loaves of sandwich style sourdough loaf and a 11x14 baking dish. But yeah Lisa - I’m anxiously waiting for your cookbook. 😊
Ahhh I can’t wait for your sourdough cookbook. I would love to have your recipes in print. 🥰
I neeeeeeed this!
I love how you have changed in your baking! When I first started watching your blog you didn't let you family eat sweets! You are making such

Whaaaat?? Did I hear right? A sourdough cookbook! Oh if it comes out before Christmas that would make the PERFECT gift!! 😍
That pastry braid was a work of art!
Thank you. Such an amazing Mom May God bless you and your family.
Thank you so much!
Lisa you are the most industrious woman alive!🙏
thanks for being my body double today :D Great to listen to you while working in the kitchen!

Lisa, you’re in a league of your own! Thank you so much for all the effort you put into your content. I love your recipes and little tips!
Oh my word! Everything looks amazing. The braid is beautiful and the other breakfast meals look incredible. Can I just come over for breakfast every day?!! Seriously.

I cannot wait for the release of your cookbook. So exciting, Lisa!!! Thank you for your encouraging content.
Another wonderful video! Thank you, Lisa, for inspiring homemakers everywhere ❤
Thank you so much!
Lisa I added a non-diastatic malt to my yeast dough and I wonder if it would work with sourdough but oh my goodness we gobbled the cinnamon bread up
That pastry is unbelievable ❤
This video was beautiful to watch, start to finish. Everything was esthetically pleasing to my soul.❤
Caraway is ceramic coated aluminum so as soon as it scratches I would replace!
I must have missed that your expecting again?!!? This looks incredible.
Due in July.
I've always said that I'd never make puff pastry but holy moly, do you ever make me want to change my mind with that braid! 🤤😆

This was amazing. Can I come live with you? I hope your children know how blest they are to have such a great cook for a mom. Loved this video. Ty.
Lisa, I love to watch your cooking videos! You are so good at what you do in the kitchen!
Your husband and kiddos sure do eat good and healthy! 😊

I have been watching your channel for a little while now. I tried making my own sourdough starter but when I tested it -it didn’t work. But I’ll try again. I appreciate how real you are. Thanks for sharing❤
Make sure it is very bubbly and it at least doubles when you feed it...then make sure you are baking with it at its peak rise before falling again...
Ty for sharing, they look so good. I've been enjoying all the sourdough you've inspired me to make. Bagels are rising as I type. I'm so jealous of the avocados you and your sister open, they always look so perfect lol yum
Once they are ripe just put them in the refrigerator and then they will last for a couple weeks and stay at that perfectly ripe stage.
We eat what we call "scramblett" for breakfast usually once a week.
Very similar with some sort of chopped breakfast meat, fried potatoes, onions, but scrambled eggs instead of fried and tossed with shredded cheese.

I haven't tested all my recipes using fresh ground whole wheat so I cannot share that as I am sure many adjustments would need to be made.
I would buy a sourdough cookbook from you so fast! I reference your blog and videos quite often
