Plus dating and being official is different. Dating is just exploring the world of love and trying to figuring out yourself in a romantic state. Being official means you're ready, you aren't self-preparing or exploring ^^ But yeah, no one acts lovey-dovey for no reason lolz

I was not ready for a relationship due to my anxiety but the person didn't know. Everything was very hard for me at the time and caused me a lot of anxiety and still does sometimes. But he stuck around and now we've been dating for over 8 months. Just trying to show that sometimes there is a different side to things.

ive never had bad anxiety. but after a year and a few months of dating I developed severe anxiety due to circumstances beyond both of our control, currently getting the help and everyday I am slowly feeling better. Everyone deserves love
omg same. im 20, and never had been in a relationship, first kiss, ect, due to my anxiety. I just could not feel comfortable around anyone enough to do anything. But I have now been with my bf for 6 months. Even with anxiety, it might be a longer wait but someone will come along that allows you to feel comfortable and will try to understand you. Same! The popular girls would always go up to guys and talk and hang with them to be cool... And then make fun of me and my girls while we having our girl talk in corner of the field. But there was this guy who would ALWAYS come up to us in class or just always and whenever and talk to us. He wasn't hitting on anyone. He would just talk to us to any of us and make us laugh! Not because he was a different sexuality ( but if you are then good for you always be proud of yourself) just since he was a nice guy and knew the "popular" girls were being mean. In the end he is now one of our best friends and is invited to all of our future weddings

i had very bad anxiety before my boyfriend and i became a couple. we had known eachother for six years until we started dating. we were classmates and friends for six years, but he didnt know i was suffering from very bad social anxiety. i had not told anyone, but once we became really close, i kind of had to tell him why i always went to the bathroom after the moment i entered his home or any home for that matter. he helped me become the person i am today. i was awkward, insecure and really not ready for any relationship at all. but i have grown so much with his love and his support. i suffer way less of the anxiety i used to have. it was controlling my life and now it luckily isnt anymore. we have been together for almost two years now and i am the happiest girl to call him mine. i am still on a long way to loving myself, but boy, did his love and his support made me flourish. i know no one will read this, but man, do i love that man.

at 7:51 you answer a question about someone saying they're not ready for a relationship. i think your answer is egregious. some people aren't ready for a relationship due to personal reasons e.g. depression or anxiety. sometimes some people aren't really sure of themselves. they'll ask people on dates in effort to combat their mental state, but after a few dates realize that's not working and their mental state supersedes any chance of a relationship. its happened to me multiple times.

from my perspective, it has a lot to do with picking the girl they ‘want’, not who they necessarily ‘need’. it goes both ways too. it takes some level of maturity to be in a long term relationship which many younger guys dont have. I also have a guy friend that says if alot of guys are running behind a girl , she’s considered ‘easy’ but take that with a grain of salt. and also if you want to attract other guys, make your personality ‘attractive’. Flirt & BE YOURSELF! Guys love that. And whatever you do, dont be discouraged about dating. There are many options out there for a reason. dont dwell and move on; until that one person makes your soul flutter.

Contrary to the 'not ready for a relationship' if the person asking for a relationship was saying it once the person on the otherside says yes is pretty messed up. But if someone is asked and they say 'I'm so sorry, I'm not ready for a relationship, I have things going on' then I would say that's fine. 'Things' could be trust issues from previous abusive relationships or if it's a gay relationship and you have homophobic parents. There are lots of other reasons and as long as they weren't leading you on, it's fine imo
