recently started reading the four agreements. and the basic idea is that every one of us is living their own dream that is based on agreements that we make through the course of our life. and so the people around you might disagree with you or even insult you but you should not take it personal as they live in their own world and what they say and think is based on where they come from. if I do take it personal I take over one of their agreements and their poison successfully got into me, for me to then spread the poison to the next person.

This is my second comment but I totally get when you would change your clothes because of what other people might say. I wear my hair in braids sometimes and my husband is a white cowboy (literally) and just the other day when we went to see his family, I wasn't sure if I should wear braids because I was worried about what his family might think. Luckily my husband is way my evolved than I am because he was like girl you better rock that damn hair, you are perfectly perfect just the way you are😅and now you're basically saying the same thing.
