Mate you match the tone of each song flawlessly. Do you change your heads or tune them differently? What’s the secret?
Yes I do this sometimes. For example for this song I tuned the snare higher as usual and added more reverb which is typically for the Awake album.
I appreciate you taking your time to reply this is amazing! Do you have any tips on how to mic the drums to get the best sound without leakage or bleed? Would love to see some videos on that. Other than that stay amazing man, you rock!!
@@aandrawes I cut out every single tom hit und gating the snare and kick mics to set the bleed to a minimum. But on some mics I want that bleed for example the ride mic catch up a little from the China so it cuts even more. It's a difficult thing and try and error worked for me the best. :D hard to explain. The base for a good sound is a good tuned kit and the rest is a little EQ magic, compression and reverb. :)

No. All you here is the natural drum sound.

@@Abzshred just a little highs to get the kick and a little less mids. The Audix D6 is already pre-eqt a lot.
How did you turn down the original drums?
