  • Physical fitness and practice are two key components of a successful wildland firefighting hand crew. While this winter may not have been the harshest in the Tahoe Basin, with around 20 feet of snow at some elevations it can still complicate training. For the #CCCTahoe Center, if there's a will-and, yes, there is-then there's a way to get fire ready. The Tahoe fire crews will embrace the miserable conditions and also find places to fire up their chain saws and swing their hand tools at lower elevations. It's all in an effort to be ready to respond to the harshest of conditions this fire season. It shows just how prepared #CCCfire crews are for fire season. #californiaconservationcorps
