- We cultivate some classics in this farmyard adventure. Tour along with us as we look at some classics that were recently saved from the crusher!
I'm 62 yrs old now and looking back it makes me so happy to know I came up in the greatest era for cars ever. Yfeah, motor oil runs in my veins. Had some fantastic cars over the years, back when they were just popular cars, now most of them would bring a small fortune if I had em to sell, lol... Had a 66 mustang I paid $195.00 at a used car lot, bet ya cant do that today. They make some nice cars today but I just don't see any of them ever making it to collector car status in the future. Parts become obsolete way too quick these days.....
There's a story in every one of those old vehicles, some interesting, some not, but all of them make you wonder as you wander around looking. Lots of people interest in looking at old vehicles - museums or junkyards or just fields full of a lifetime of collecting cars.
One thing I'm realizing as I see these videos and see how lucky I am now that I'm getting up in years. I've been wondering what to do with all my collected stuff - nothing compared to what the owners of these fields of cars have. And that gives me hope that I can sort through what sometimes seems like a hopeless task. Looking at these videos with fields full of a lifetime of collected vehicles makes me appreciate what a small job I've got ahead of me compared to what these guys are faced with as they get old.
Nice videos. Thanls.
It breaks my heart to see those beautiful classic 58 Buicks just sitting there rusting away. I learned to drive on a '58 and have always loved them.
When you said that about your Dad and you walking around wrecking yards like this, it reminded me of all the times my ex-husband and I used to go to wrecking yards and walk around the cars, looking at the potential that existed in them, and wondering about the life they lived. We would buy sandwiches and make a day of it. Currently, I am rebuilding a 1983 Pontiac Firebird. Ironically, I caught my house on fire with it back in 2005 while working on it. It will one day again see the road soon. It's currently in the body shop. Good memories.
I like your optimistic attitude its a very endearing attribute. The music is good too and who doesn't like a good old junk yard!
+Gavin Hunter thanks Gavin! I just love exploring places like this, meeting great people along the way :)
Xdr
Was a big yard at Scotland SD. Own by King Zigler. He fell down his steps one night broke his neck. It killed him. They sold out his yard. 30s up cars and trucks. He ran sheep in his yard to keep brush cleared out. Spring you see family's walking thru the yard like it was a city park. Just looking at the old memories of the old cars and trucks held for them. Well there all gone now along with King.
I was fortunate several years ago to find a 1950 Ford pickup and it was a great find it wasn't rusty with low mileage that I got it started and restored it.
I would be proud to have one of those GMC step sides sitting in my shed and also that Apache
So many exciting old vehicles. What a treat to watch this.
+JOHNNIE: LORD OF THE MungoidHen PEOPLE thanks so much! Sometimes these videos are pretty simple, but i enjoy showing some of the cool stuff around here!
its definitely a treat to watch I own a 59 Pontiac Catalina and to see them still surviving as shown in these videos is a nice treat
When I was a kid my grandpa had over 200 cars sitting in a field at his farm. It used to be a corn field before then.
I live in the Appalachians, so when you were on the other side of the valley on a sunny day, you could see the sunlight sparkling off of the cars in the field. It was a big wide valley too so it was just awesome.
I used to go down there all the time and pretend the cars were alive, and I'd talk to them.
Sadly, by the time I was 13 he had most of them crushed. :(
People always complain about guys like him for letting cars like these sit, but I am insanely grateful. Without him, all these cars would be gone. Better to let them sit here then get crushed.
I really hope to own a bunch cars like this someday too. I don't know what I'd do with all of them, but they sure do look cool all lined up like that.
Another cool tour, thanks for the yourney....like!
+Antonio Mao thanks Antonio!
Very nice love all
I love this yellow and blue truck ♥️
Now that is my kind of junkyard tour. Great to see places like this still exist. Even better, its right here in Canada!
How come Canada doesn't make cars? Big country, long roads, you'd think they would make cars instead of buying them all from the U.S. Same thing with Mexico for that matter. Curious.
I find the best time to hit yards is in the fall, after everything is dead.
Great video, glad I subbed.
+ramairgto72 glad you like our videos! And you’re right, much easier in fall to find stuff :)
Why is it that even with absolutely no mechanical knowledge and no experience of restoration, when I see these cars I want to buy one to save and restore ! Great finds, good video
Thanks for watching Mike
Good time to start. No time better to start than now.
Mike Salisbury
If you were rich 💍 as Jay Leno you could restore all of them🧟♂️!
That is EXACTLY I was thinking and I’m a 63 yr old woman who can barely look after a modern car !
What a chame, all those rusting away
Only the second video I watched from your channel, and subscribed. When I was younger, I loved going to Heavy Metal Wreckers out past Trochu. Back in the 80's-90's, very reasonable prices, if you pulled your own parts. Acres of old cars, out in a pasture. $20 for a wrap around rear window for the 57 Dodge 100, handful of trim and a tail light for the '67 Dart GT $30. Those days are long gone. I'll have to check out your web site. Thanks for the invite to your shop. I'll keep that in mind.
+Al Cyr thanks again for subscribing too!
Another excellent video Alex! I remember back in the day if you had a truck, you were a farmer. lol Now they are all the rage at those auctions! Really like that International towards the end at 19:13.
+stude1953 Thanks! That international is really complete too :) thanks for watching
Интересные автомобили, оригенальный дизайн.
Nice video! I Like seeing all those International kb trucks, would love the front bumper off the one truck it looks like it's in pretty good shape and the panel would be a nice project too.
+Rogers1949 they are for sale if you feel like coming to haul them out :)
I wish I could but I just can't do it at this point in my life, all I can afford to do is sit and drool. hopefully he finds somebody to buy them up and do something with them
Rogers1949
I’m just like you!!!Drool buckets when I sleep 💤.
Fun stroll through the old yard.
The crush buster. 😀
Fear is keeping us safe 🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽🦽
Love the music in the beginning and video, And you get a thumbs up also.
bluesharp59
I so appreciate background music that doesn’t over power and jangle your nerves 👺.
Love this old cars
Makes me wish I was there with you guys.
It’s fun digging around looking for these old cars :)
another great vid my friend 👍👍👍👍
+Patrick O'Donnell thanks Patrick!
That old caprice wagon brings back memories from my aunts dragon wagon. Had a 455 Buick an a th400.
+LowLife Juggalo probably had lots of power! Hot rod wagon :)
Curiosity Incorporated that it did. She built it all herself in 81 in a salvage yard run by her old friend mike.
Awesome video thanks for sharing
+justin gray thanks Justin!
I love sleeping in the old cars
That Rebel SST is real rare and worth $!!!
Ahhhh fields... the only place to find my dream car
Or the 1919 Chicago white Sox according to field of dreams ;)
Saved them from the crusher to have them disintegrate in my yard.Very smart
Be like living in heaven!!
The grill on that Falcon wagon is very unusual! I never seen an early falcon with that kind of grill, very unique! May be because this is a Canadian version, may be it’s not even named Falcon but something else.
Love the bright trim on the F1 ,I also used to service a ponti Convert like that too.. yummo!. The Fronty two door is something i have never seen here too. Pontiac's must be to Canada like Holden were to Australia ,the indigenous car brand.. :-)
+Mercmad yah, the Frontenac was only in Canada, it’s pretty much just a falcon. :)
I found your channel not to long ago, and if I'm not mistaking you only had about 400 subscribers, here it is a short time later and you have over 9,000 subscribers. Congratulations, you should have your on TV show.
Thanks so much, and yes it’s been growing quickly and we couldn’t be happier. I just hope to keep things interesting for you guys!
Curiosity Incorporated
Keep your eyes open for a 66 beetle hood (bonnet) surface rust ok but no dings and dents
The 53 De Soto is the most cool car there.
I love the grilles on those cars!
I guess the Pontiac could be saved too because it`s a 2door car .
My 2doors is stile around saved whit parts form 4door cars.
The De Soto car look very compleat, so its a survival car.
Nice old cars
Walking around old junk yards out in country. Is very cool used to do it myself but their all gone around here
+Mike Winkelman I’m trying to get videos of the ones around here before they disappear too!
Wow if you had these cars lined up with buyers and people that need parts you could fund a nice retirement ..there are thousands of dollars worth of parts and complete cars....wow
I want every one of those antique vehicles
CORRECTION: The car @13:34 was a 1963 Pontiac, not a 1964, and it was not a Tempest. Google it and you will see the differences.
What a shame they are all rusting away into the ground very sad!!! I wish I could of saved some of them 30 years ago!!!
Wow, I wonder where the rest of the Whippet is ? Willy's only made those a few years.
There are some awesome old cars in there I would like if I had the money
I ve been lot of junk yards tennessee never been one yet thats under trees leaves fallin in them. And rust
A lot of farmers don’t want people knowing what they have so they move them to discreet spots. Sometimes not the best for the vehicles.
👍🔧🔩👍 tnx 4 vid ! It can be restored and/or repurposed !!👍😀,
clean it up ? no , not in my back yard, this stuff is "gold" . points and magnetos are freedom compared to the computerized vehicle shakle system.👍🔧🔩
The 440 Insignia on any Dodge does not mean it has a 440 cubic inch
That bronco is worth a fortune
You ought to collect the old license plates off those cars
A good project would be to take the old 2 ton Ford get it rolling and safe with dual master cylinder brakes and seat belts. Clean it and clear coat it, roll it.
+G Philip C there wouldn’t be too many like that on the road anymore!
Way back, my pop owned one similar but it was a dump-truck. Flathead V8. He bought it from an old part time heavy equipment mechanic that was employed by him for a few years and who had a hankerin' for the sauce. The guy was a "Craker Jack" welder...top notch craftsmen when sober.
G Philip C n
I remember going to the junkyards with my dad when I was a kid now I got a kid of my own an most junkyards now days won't allow anyone under 16 in there I believe
I would love to buy one of those 5 window Chevy trucks
Whats about the '65 Impala 4 Door Hardtop at Timecode 18:49? Ist it still alive & for Sale??? :)
THANK you 4 the great Videos about old junk yards, i Love it! :)
Regards from south germany/Bavaria!
Where are located? I love the old trucks. Thanks
The Dodge "Coronet 440" is the model not the engine size.
And those are rain deflectors so you can crack your window open without getting wet.
+S Wylie he told me later it was a 318 wise block
Have any of you guys watching this actually bought a car from a junk yard and tried to restore it ? How much time, money and love has to be sunk into these things to save them ?
I have, and have learned it’s best to just buy the best running car you can vs. Restore, cheaper in the end.
ALOT... Time and Money. You have to enjoy it or it's a ball and chain. Watch TV rebuilds. Cheap and dirty. Painting over rust and building engines and drive trains on the cheap is done alot. If your ok with that you can cut cost and time down alot. Your call. Alot times you can buy them done cheaper than you can do it yourself. But how well are they done? Your call once again.
Gregory Tanner
Lots of honest flippers. Weird Beard 🧔 would be a good start and lead you to others.
Is this stuff for sale?? Where is the place need hood of INH ?
If anyone's curious how many old cars & trucks in decent shape, check out The Unsavables on Instagram. It sucks.
Unfortunately, after a vehicle rests on bare earth the frame and undercarriage will rot quickly, despite what the body looks like.
What a shame to let a lot of those cars and old trucks that could be saved most of them are only parts vehicles the rust will eventually take them away once the frames are all gone there's not much left sitting in an open field they won't last long that's a shame
Nice video, I really want to know how much those 1958 Buick's would sell for, unrestored like that. Are they for sale? I'm interested in the one with the hood closed but , want to know what he would sell both of them for. I mean
each one, at what price?
+Jeff Hull I can find out for you if you like, just write me and we can connect off UA-cam :)
Thank you Curiosity Inc, sorry I didn't see your name. I'm on facebook as Jeffrey Hull, Haverhill Mass. I would like to find this out and would appreciate that, just hope I can travel far to see these. I will let you know. Looking forward to seeing and hearing what you find out and thank you again. ----Jeffrey Hull. (Jeff)
Seen it my whole life. I'm 66yr old. Guy gets off work after 8 hr day
Buys arm load of beer. Sits infront of TV till bed time. Goes bed and starts it all over next day. They are ones tell you I have no time for this or that. I dont have time learn A skill set.
How much all that beer cost?
How much time have they burned up?
What do they have to show for there free time?
Awesome video! Do you mind my asking which state or province this was? I am guessing the north east. What a great salvage collection. I'd love to restore one of those trucks for my farm in upstate NY
+A Page the yard is just outside of Edmonton AB Canada, a little ways from NY :)
After watching more of your videos, I could catch the hint of the Canadian accent :) Happy Thanksgiving! Yep a bit too far for me but I have froms from there and I want to visit sometime. I'm right on the boarder on Lake Ontario
It is sad to see old cars rescued and then placed on the ground.
Hi nice cars & trucks l wanna asking you what place or city is this junkyard l texting from garden grove, california if you can send the information appreciate thank you. Have a goog day.
any 1970's ford highboy's f250, 350 ?
Sad to see these just rotting away in a field.
Hopefully someone will save them
Oh I hope the cars are Not crushed now?😓
Are they still there ore alive???
What city is this? Nice~~
👍👍👍
Need to find out for us veiwers if any of it is for sale or not man whats up with that. Lol
Interested in 42 Ford 2.5 ton?
Shame....betcha all those frames are toast....sitting on all those leaves builds up moisture n rots
A guy like Chip Foose would love this place and those rotted frames he just builds new modern ones with better brakes and suspension for today's driving, etc.
Definetly take the bulldozers the ford 2 ton, desoto, green dodge faem truck
So what he didn't want to sell any cars or you didn't like any
Too rough for me
Where is this place at no body ever let you know where these places are at
The tall grass is killing them too. But what do you do with that many cars ?
bluesharp59 i wood call crusher mike he wood smash every one of them and pay me on the spot iwood be happy
What this guy is going to do is keep thinking something good is going to happen to those vehicles when in actuality they are just rusting into the ground. I always feel like it is a shame when a guy like this amasses a bunch of old vehicles and then lets them rot away. Neither he nor his pal from curiosity incorporated is doing anyone a favor by making a vague reference to where these cars are rather than helping someone to be able to buy from this old joker. These kind of shows are just a waste of energy.
@@donnlowe9129
True !
Never seen a 59 Pontiac
Canadian Pontiacs are quite unique. Parisiennes were full-size like the Catalina I think? Acadian Canso, Acadian Invader, Beaumont Acadian, Sport Deluxe (SD) Based on Novas & Chevelles. I was a kid in the 80s so most were old and rotted already.
did you know there was a kid in your back seat?
Can you pleased provide me with the location of this place...
It’s near drayton valley Alberta
Evidently this graveyard is a secret. These cars Will rot right into the dirt because this guy is not going to sell any of them. There a are quite a few Canadian hot rodders that would like to have that early Ford F1 pick up especially since It has very unusual Chrome trim wrapped around the front fenders. But this guy enjoys talking about these vehicles But you know he'll never sell them.

Hey would he be interested in selling the Frontenac grill
+John Hill I’ve got an extra one myself
I just think it would be a very cool wall ornament.
Interested in the early 50s trucks if you have a contact number it would be nice
Coronet 440 doesn’t mean it has a 440
+Mike Roberts would have been nice though
You can’t polish a turd.
Pleas msg me back I'm in Canada an I'm interested in 3 of the cars in the video
