That biOrb costs a fortune. It should tell you the exact temperature, humidity, light, and mood of the plants inside. For that price you should be able to customize everything. For that price, it should clean your house and make breakfast.
I imagine the biggest cost to that biome is the glass that must be extremely hard to make that huge glass globe. I imagine not everyone that's formed makes it to be part of the product. I know just to buy a glass cloche for plants they're expensive compared to other items. I don't think the people are getting rich from that product
Now I’m not gonna suggest replanting the BioOrb AGAIN, BUT, If you were to do it again, it would be kinda cool to do it with species from where the obliqua grows! So like a “native” tank!
Not happy with those who told you it had adansonii type leaves. MickMitty can tell you that obliqua has many leaf types, depending on the locations it grows in naturally. What's available in N.A. is all from only one location. In Europe there are a few more types. Mick has videos where he has found real obliqua with No Holes at all. Other types have only one or two small holes. Species ID is based on flower structure which home hobbyists hardly ever get to see.
The T-Rex skull is amazing! As a lady who randomly decorates with dinosaurs, I am so happy to see that. And now I need one! Lol! Love the way this looks!
She got to keep it. I'm guessing she either bought it, or the owner told her she could keep it. It didn't look very good when she got it, so I'm actually so happy she did get to keep it. It looks amazing now, and the fact that it's growing is amazing as well!
Love the setup overall, but I feel like that mystery fern behind the Obliqua kind of obstructs and takes away some of the focus from it and would look much better behind the Trex skull, leaving just the tree stump as a nice dark backdrop for the showcased specimen. Could totally just be the angle it was filmed at and if that is the case please disregard my suggestion
Hi Kaylee Ellen, I'm always interested to see how your plants in the BiOrb are doing, I make the old fashioned terrariums for now, maybe one day I will have the new fancy kind, lol. I love the T-Rex decor inside your BiOrb, it's just funky, not creepy at all. I really love seeing your new space and the lighting conditions, and how you've got things placed. Your oblique has grown so much from when you first placed it in the BiOrb, it's such a cool plant. Thanks for the update and sharing this video, have a great weekend, see you soon.
Girl! This looks so good!!! That obliqua is stunning! Please keep us updated on this! And I agree with prior posters about a time lapse on on obliqua lead unfurling!
A T-rex skull is nothing but AWESOME!!!! I would definitely have picked such a thing for a terrarium 👌🏻 And looooooove how it turned out! So desperately want one of these orbs 😍
What ever people.....if the Obliqua is hers, if it was gifted or what ever ...she deserves that and more so let's just enjoy her Blessings with her . Thank You for always sharing and may God continue Blessing you always 🙋🏽
33k!!! Oh my gosh. This is fantastic, Kaylee. Congrats. I remember when you were 10 k. So glad this channel is getting this much deserved boost to your channel.
Kaylee! The same thing started happening to all my rare plants and begonias but eventually they got used to the biorb air and started thriving like crazy! They are adapting to their new environments. You should have kept them in there and waited a little longer. I will put up my video soon on UA-cam!
Hey Kaylee.. Is obliqua yours now, you never told us that story!! That's exciting, its like owning a unicorn really 😎 did nse tropicals gift it to you like the biorb 💚💚 if so, please tell us the story of how you acquired the unicorn.. Also no plastics with the obliqua please 🙏 she is a queen and would be nice if you could mimic her natural environment and surrounding plants 🙃
We're actually flooded with obliquas - almost every plant shop sells it at low price here in Switzerland and Germany. As you mentioned in the rare plant index - it's fascinating to see the differences. I'm excited to hear you're not getting runners - she seems to be very happy! Love your channel
The biorb looks much better! Terrariums have a steep learning curve in my experience, but are very satisfactory. I've scaped a few (for snails, geckos and plants) and I'm still learning. I'm used to puzzling all the pieces together myself (lights, water, humidity), doing it manually, but retaining full control.
You had me at the dinosaur skull-brilliant choice. But then you lost me at those fake moss balls. Glad you pushed them to the back. Really like the addition of the bromeliads. Your obliqua is stunning. Thanks for the update!
I am absolutely thrilled that your Obliqua is doing so well! I wanted to request a video on how you care for your Triostar - soil mix etc. I have one and it is doing so well it is time to repot and I want to get the soil mix right to keep her “Sexy, NOT crispy”!
It's your biorb, girl!! Put as many t-rex skulls in there as you want! (Also watching you nerd out over the obliqua is so sweet! Do you name your plants? If so, what'd you name the obliqua?)
I totally get how you feel about your obliqua! I don’t have anything that rare of course but I feel that way about my aroids! Your biOrb looks beautiful! Yes the T. rex skull does echo the obliqua ! Great idea! 😬🌱
Great video as per usual. Loved ur jurassic park theme! Cant wait to see your new terrarium and or aquarium! Soo excited! I just got a new terrarium with some bromeliads and it makes everything look so tropical and beautiful, i call it Hawaii in a box lol. I have found the orb is a love hate relationship for me. My misting/fan unit broke the day after i set it up. I got a replacement that took 1 month to get. I have also had to take out three plants due to yellowing leaves though I assume mine are due to bugs (i got some aphids). Thank you for the fertilizer tip. Gonna do that too. Your Obliqua is looking 🙌💚🌿
Yep. I did wonder if there was a bit too much light for those plants. I also wonder how the moss will do. It is a lovely piece, the Orb, but I wonder just what is the best plant to put in it. And wow, a touch pricey. Still given the chance, I'd definitely use one.
Awesome sauce Kaylee! That little guy has grown so much. You did a magnificent job scaping the biorb. Me, I'd wake up in the middle of the night, to go and adjust something. I don't know if it's the way it was filmed but that fern is trying to upstage the obliqua (sp). I'd move it more towards the gorgeous dinosaur skull. If it's just the film angle, leave it be. Love the eye shadow btw. Tfs
Wait, is the obliqua yours? I thought it was on loan. I've recently been binge watching your videos! Thank you very much for all the precious information that you share with us
I see my plants as pets too 😅. My friends and family believe that this quarantine has made me crazy. I am glad I am not the only one who loves their plant babies that much!
I've been waiting to hear a complete review of the orb before I put out that much money...I do love making terrariums though and have been kind of fantasizing about having this in my house ...it might be my next project !
great video, thank you! really took influence from this and planning my own little terrarium. wont be in the proper biorb but i'll try my best with a repurposed old vertical fish tank (60cm high x 45cm diameter). going to put my baby monstera adasonii in, a couple of small varieties of bromeliads i have, african violets, pink angel fittonia, possibly calathea insignis, maidenhair fern, and if i an figure out how to propogate it, a begonia angel wing. super excited, planning out mini water feature too! :D
oh my goood it's amaaaazing Kaylee !!!! It looks so freaking good !! I'm impressed by your scaping talents wow ! Also, your video is great, really it was perfect to watch, don't worry :) And you're super sweet and smart as always, it's a pleasure to watch you everytime, take care :)
lol when i saw the t rex skull in the thumbnail i totally thought that it kinda resembles an obliqua too! its looks completely beautiful and like a lush Jurassic park hahah the obliqua looks amazing. it maybe cool to put a time-lapse camera in front of the biOrb ?
Kaylee, First off I'd like to thank you for turning me into a Philodendron addict. Love your vids. Might I suggest you make your BiOrb bio active by adding a CUC (clean up crew) Also your broms should be mounted as an Epiphytic plant, and adding leaf litter would make a world of difference. I'd love to see you set up an Exo Terra Terrarium. Just suggestions, your channel, your vids, Love ya!!!!
Love these vids, they really are something else! Keep them up, recent subscriber that loves your channel! A slight enthusiast of neo (broms). The fireball really only shows intense red colouration in very bright lighting conditions, which I think the biorb should be able to provide once they have matured a bit. I personally think that the two fireballs (or adding addition neo's) would of been better off wrapped in some sphagnum and mounted onto the resin wood structure - which is awesome btw, would look amazing in aquariums! - which would help increase the vertical backdrop that you mentioned that you were looking for in the beginning, but also allow space around the sides for another (rare/unicorn) plant of your choosing for the sides, that may appreciate a shaded spot? Not to mention, being closer to the light, they are more likely to develop their red colouration! (In the wild, neo's are epiphtye plants, which naturally grow in soiless media. I currently have an unnamed neo growing in my hermit crab tank - tropical and humid - where it is mounted on a DIY concrete background and is a pretty nice red colour...)
The Bromeliad Fireball will get more red under intense lighting. The Vriesea will only keep its color under bright lights. I'm not sure if the lights in a BiOrb will be quite enough to keep the color on them. However, none of the bromeliads you have purchased are terrestrial plants. The root systems are almost exclusively for anchoring them to a branch or another plant, in an epiphyte situation. I wouldn't expect them to do terribly well planted in soil. Your fern might be a Korean Rock Fern, although it's hard to tell. Fittonia are popular for terrariums because they really thrive in there. For other appropriate plant options, rather then googling terrarium plants, you might want to look into the Poison Dart Frog hobby. Poison dart frogs are almost exclusively kept in bioactive terrariums with delicate plants that won't outgrow small spaces. Especially bromeliads and small fern types.
Thanks so much for this :) I actually looked into dart frogs as I really wanted them. But I have no way of auto feeding them so I've chosen to keep an aquarium instead
@@KayleeEllenOfficial You might want to consider Mourning Geckos then as well. Not as colorful, but much less maintenance and do well in a similar habitat. Aquarium moss converts pretty nicely to a terrarium situation. Java gets a bit leggy, but weeping moss, riccia, or Christmas moss can look quite nice. You might also try out some anubias or bucephalandra species. They do quite well in a high humidity setup without overtaking smaller tanks. Personally though, my favorite genus for terrarium plants are sinningia. They stay quite petite, flower regularly, and are fairly easy to keep.
Girlllll I came across your channel very recently and today I binge watched all your videos..so I need a lot of new videos asap please, thanks😄 Please do videos about.. -How to get more white variegation on plants especially on monstera albo borsigiana -more soil mixes for all kinds of plants -more repottings with explaination what soil you use etc -would be awesome if you tell us the prices of the plants in your hauls -more plant care videos
Everybody who doesn't remember her owning the obliqua, you should go watch or rewatch her original biorb air planting video! That's where she talks about the obliqua again
Hi Kaylee - your fern looks like the Japanese Fern - the leaves could start looking more silvery as it grows a bit more. I used to own one but they somewhat more fragile to look after. Beautiful though. :) B
What’s the point of a BiOrb if you can’t control the conditions? Like a person can control the conditions in their house. I figure the point of a BiOrb would be to be able to do that as well with the benefit of having everything enclosed nicely. The name Biorb even eludes to that. Get it together BiOrb. It’s not like we don’t have the technology.
Hi Kaylee! Quick question. I bought the BiOrb and set it to the highest humidity and fan setting.. I used the frog moss you recommended. Did your moss turn yellow/brown after a few days?
Yet another kickass video, loving the Jurassic theme! Can you do a philodendron plant collection or an entire Aroids collection? Or a detailed care of anthuriums (I sadly killed my forgettii recently)
That biOrb costs a fortune. It should tell you the exact temperature, humidity, light, and mood of the plants inside. For that price you should be able to customize everything. For that price, it should clean your house and make breakfast.
Rena Signorino 😂😂😂
Hahaha yeessss!
Looking forward to the inevitable knock offs that will be way cheaper.
I imagine the biggest cost to that biome is the glass that must be extremely hard to make that huge glass globe. I imagine not everyone that's formed makes it to be part of the product. I know just to buy a glass cloche for plants they're expensive compared to other items. I don't think the people are getting rich from that product
I wish mine made me breakfast hahahah

River Kressler love that idea!!
Incredible job!! Quite literally a shrine for your obliqua!
When that leaf falls off, you should press it!!
Not happy with those who told you it had adansonii type leaves. MickMitty can tell you that obliqua has many leaf types, depending on the locations it grows in naturally. Love the new setup! It's insane how quickly the obliqua has grown so far
I love this incarnation of the BioOrb - it just looks so much more put-together and the obliqua really feels like the star!
Great video! A timelapse on an obliqua leaf unfurling would be awesome! ☺️🌱
Melissa · Sovereign · Planet · yesssssss
You really are doing that obliqua justice. Living the REAL dream of us plant parents. I'm so jealous! Keep up the amazing work on that obliqua.
I thought you said the obliqua was on loan and not to expect updates?!?! It is yours now?! Exciting stuff!!
Crystal Sommer I was wondering this too!
She got to keep it. I'm guessing she either bought it, or the owner told her she could keep it. It didn't look very good when she got it, so I'm actually so happy she did get to keep it. It looks amazing now, and the fact that it's growing is amazing as well!

Looks great! The BiOrb should be controlled via app. Hell, my vacuum runs off one - so should a life support system.
I keep planted tanks/aquascapes, but i've really got into houseplants recently. Your videos have been so helpful. Thank you! 💚
I personally do not have the dedication for rare and tropical plants but I absolutely love watching these videos for your enthusiasm! 😊

oOPhilomelaOo they're probably mislabeled, our garden centres in the Netherlands also say they're obliquas but they're adansonii. #itsneverobliqua
It looks DOPE!! Such an awesome theme and executed perfectly!
Great result with obliqua!❤️ new arragement looks stunning!💕🙌🏻❤️
Love the new space! And yes the skul in there looks amazing 😀
3 seconds in and paused. Gurl your eyeshadow 💕
Yes! And that shirt!

Wow! Its so big already! I want to have an orb now too! But my home is already crowded with over 100 plants... 😅

In the last orb vid she said she named the obliqa Mr.Holes, inspired by Mr.Glass from the movie "unbreakable" and "Glass" due to its fragility.
I totally get how you feel about your obliqua! I don’t have anything that rare of course but I feel that way about my aroids! Your biOrb looks beautiful! Yes the T. rex skull does echo the obliqua ! Great idea! 😬🌱
Absolutely amazing Kaylee. Looks gorgeous. So satisfying to watch
Great showing the fern you purchased looks like a maidenhair fern can’t wait to see updates 😉

I love this channel for informative contents , love u kelly🙂🙂
Is there a new update on the obliqua? Would really love to follow its story
Woooah I was watching her old videos today wondering when she was gonna give an update. My esp never fails
I LOVE!!! The Jurassic park vibe!!! I watch your videos all the time. Keep doing what ur doing girl. Great great video!
Okay but that variegated monstera that the back tho😩👌🔥
It is sooo cool. I love the T Rex, it is awesome and looks really good with the obliqua
Wait, is the obliqua yours? I thought it was on loan. I've recently been binge watching your videos! Thank you very much for all the precious information that you share with us

I have mine in a self watering pot, grew two runners and 3 leaves
I, too, personally treat my plants like pets, rather than just plants; they're my little nature babies. Love 'em.
It looks great! Honestly, I would just have the obliqua in the orb with very few things so it had room to grow bigger.
Now you went down the rabbit hole of rare Terrarium plants. You're welcome.
"The second ornament is a T-rex skull. Now I know what you're thinking..."
Me, thinking: *That's AWESOME!* 🤓 😉
Someone tell me why I'm also emotionally attached to that Obliqua LOL 🌱
It look nice ! Congrats !...In my opinion , with a real wood and moss and with a few stones it would look even better !
Girlllll I came across your channel very recently and today I binge watched all your videos..so I need a lot of new videos asap please, thanks😄
Please do videos about..
-How to get more white variegation on plants especially on monstera albo borsigiana

-more repottings with explaination what soil you use etc
-would be awesome if you tell us the prices of the plants in your hauls

excellent rescape kaylee
Your videos are always so well made! ❤️
Love your titles for the ornaments you got 😂
Looks absolutely amazing and would not be as awesome without that scull. 🦖
It looks awesome, terrariums are not my thing but this is so cool, love the bromeliads in there and the t rex! You gotta name him 🤣
Oh we taking shots with our plants now, pour one out for the obliqua!!!
I looove the Jurassic theme! So beautiful 😍
So I know the video is kinda old, but the fern is definitely “Athyrium Spicatum” AKA “Lady fern”. I’m looking at mine now.
please make a video about acclimating plants from buying overseas! what conditions to keep them in, when to plant them in what medium.. thanks!
I think the fern might be Athyrium spicatum. Got a pretty similar one, and that's what it was tagged as.
The T-rex skull gave me life💕
I LOVEEE THE JURASSIC PARK THEME!!!!
What’s the point of a BiOrb if you can’t control the conditions? Like a person can control the conditions in their house. You
should watch Serpa design.
Yessss!!! Been waiting for this
Love the T-Rex! 😁🦖
kind of looks like a rabbits foot fern but its so hard to distinguish them from one another
I thought it looked like rabbit's foot too but didn't see any of the "paws". If it starts growing any then I guess we'll know for sure.
Hi I'm new to your channel and I love it . Bromeliads do color up with brighter light .
Hi Kaylee! Quick question. I bought the BiOrb and set it to the highest humidity and fan setting.. I used the frog moss you recommended. Did your moss turn yellow/brown after a few days?
Hope to have obliqua cuttings too...wish to have it this christmas ...
Such a lovely video ms.kaylee...the plant really so lovely...
Yet another kickass video, loving the Jurassic theme! Can you do a philodendron plant collection or an entire Aroids collection? Or a detailed care of anthuriums (I sadly killed my forgettii recently)
Nice one... but for info you will love to see it in our country. It grows anywhere even in street
Where did you get the orb and what size is that? Thank you! Love all your videos. ❤️
I LOVE the t-rex skull!!!!!!!
Love the T-Rex Head!!!!! :) :) :)
How is your Obliqua now? Id love to see an update.
It looks awesome!
Hi Kaylee i cant find indoor fertilizer anywhere, can I use outdoor fertilizer or possibly make some myself?
Thanks in advance🤠
Thank you for a new video😊💕 love you and your videos💕
