Probably not. I made it to Wrangell Alaska last August. I’m mostly going to cruise in SE Alaska where I won’t need them. If I do make another open ocean passage I will install paravane stabilizers.
Yes you are correct. Captain Brian decided to hug the coast due to high winds offshore. I would have preferred the off shore route and get the voyage over with sooner. Having said that, the four day non stop portion from Ft Bragg, CA to Neah Bay, WA was exhausting since it was just the two of us taking turns on watch.

Great video.
I purchased your book! It's amazing the work you put into her to make her such a sound vessel! She look's awesome.
Thank you so much!
I enjoyed watching your rough cruise.
Absolutely amazing, Matt! Thanks for sharing!
Great to see you out on the water. Had seen your build on George Beuhler's website a few years back, and got your book. Nice work on the boat!
Thank you!!!
Nicely done Matt....
Put in some random pics of your build in the next one
Did you notice the company you had at 7:40 ? 😎
That looked brutal without any stabilization. Are you going to add any?

@@stev8160 i know sea venture did their bulbous bow up that way. Lots of skilled workers up there who could do a paravane set up.
you must have run the coastline instead of off shore dropping off the continental shelf much smoother out there

She needs a bulbous bow.
