It appears to be a turbojet engine rather than a turboshaft, so there's no power to the wheels - just thrust from the mass of air being pushed out the back. Theoretically it'll have a high top speed, but the acceleration's really poor.

I build fast cars and this is still crazy slow. Is it cool? Sure. Is it bad to point out how hilariously pokey a JET POWERED cart is? Nope. Who would have thought that people who do things also have a phone/computer, an opinion, and can type? Using your own narrow world view to describe others clearly doesn't work. Back to the drawing board.

They should put a hydrogen peroxide rocket engine on it! “It’ll blow your goddam doors off!” Or a solid propellant motor from their Mormon brothers in Utah. They’ll need a JBD behind the starting line though. And then have a “slow vehicle” orange, triangular drag chute.

@@hughjass1044Yeah, that was my thought. If it had the power of a real jet car it would have probably shot the buggy right off of the chassis.
They are hamster powered version, so probably not quite as powerful as the full -on jet fuel version.
Most actual "jet powered" vehicles I've seen videos of are quite slow. Not like their strapping Boeing 747 engines to these cars
